Half his face was swollen, there was probably a fracture, and his knee was fucked up. But when he saw the French rally around Laurent, he knew he had to redirect the rising rage. The people he wanted to fight behind he now had to fight against. He heard Johnathan’s shout from the balcony. The only thing that kept Olivier from leaping right into the ring was the fear his knee would end up broken. 

When he faltered, a hand grabbed him by the elbow. Thomas. Hardly as well-trained as his brother, but they had grown up fighting some of the same people. Though he distrusted everyone that night, he could trust his brother wouldn’t let him die in a beatdown.
