Btw in the random card au Yukina and Tomoe were childhood friends and Yukina was Tomoe's like most trusted person ok anyways Yukina is also the person who was charged with capturing Rokka so uh yeah
#rat rambles#band posting#random card au#basically yukina used to live in the kingdom that lisa lived in but had to move post dad divorce hours#she and lisa still write but they live very far appart unfortunately#but yeah after moving there yukina got a pretty basic job at the castle to help support her dad and then tomoe was like sickkkkk a kid my#age that also thinks music is neat hell yeah#different music but still its enough of a rarity in her parts that shell take it hdnydkdydj#turns out they had quite a bit to bond over in the form of them both having wanted to escape one of their parents influence#and although yukina had a hard time keeping up with tomoe's energy sometimes she did enjoy showing her more music related things#eventually tomoe was like hey do you wanna promotion here cause I could totally get you a promotion#and yukina was like ya sure#after yukina started working more on her specific brand of spellcasting (sleep magic cause shes dying lol) she ended up getting the#attention of some of the royal guard as a lot of it was unintentionally like. rly powerful in a combat sense#and after plenty of bugging abt being hired into them tomoe was just like yooooo bro what if I just make you my personal guard so I can#just like give you whatever shit you need and all you have to do is hang around by me#that was a slight oversight on their part but it worked out fine for a few years#well up til tomoe 'died' anyways
