I see no difference.

To put a positive spin on it: changes in office space for team in later episodes can be neatly tied up with a metaphor of Leo leaving his personal hell.

It was a good year.

In January we got HdS and then in February there were 102 fics (twice as many as January). Lots of coping with what happened, how the episode ended etc. Then it got a bit quieter but with behind the scenes photos from the new episode in June that got to be the second highest month with 64 fics. Then there was a huge influx of plant dad Leo fics during the summer. Then we all watched "Leo" in Kleo and there were lots of killer for hire fics in August. Until December we got around 30 new fics per month. December was very festive and there were 53 new fics.

Top 3 fandoms

(basing this off those I actually engage with the most, bc I am a lurker in way too many fandoms at once tbh 😹)

1. Spatort/Tatort Saarbrücken (German crime TV show that is technically for boomers. There are many diff editions of this show, each based on a diff city here. And this one has two leads that have a very fascinating backstory with eachother and that has captured the hearts of many German Tumblr users 😹💕)

-> okay, tbf, I haven't been super active in that one lately, but the yearly new episode will come out at the end of January and I prob won't shut up about it for at least a week!

2. The Amazing Devil

-> yes, they are a band, so idk if it really counts as fandom; but I do check that tag at least every other day and am always in awe by the cool stuff a lot of ppl are making!

3. Community

-> one of my fave shows of all time and I love regularly checking the tag to see what sillyness the others in the fandom have been up to!

Honestly, writing these down has just made me realize, how much more active I am on Smoshblr, than I have been in any fandom that came before it... Y'all truly mean so much to me 🫶

Top 3 ships

(basing this on how much fanfic I've read about each of them)

1. Spirk!!!

-> the OGs!! Nothing can top that ship for me, genuinely; they just have everything!!

2. Stucky

-> Am I still extremely bitter about endgame? Yes. However if I even see so much as a snippet of fanfic about them (especially the shrinkyclinks dynamic) I am immediately drawn to ao3

3. Trobed

-> they bring me so much joy and pain at the same time. And honestly? What more could I want from a ship 🫶💔 (I might never recover from the "I had to patch up parts of your DNA with genes from a homing pigeon - you may notice side effects, like a compulsion to come back" and "It needs to be okay for it get on a boat with levar Burton and never come back" lines...)

and i dont mean to mansplain this post - it just inspired this train of thought, so here is my share 🫠

Leo is the silent angry type. Brooding alone, keeping the pain inside of him, using it too keep going. I belive he supresses all his emotions, trying not to bitch on people, that have nothing to do with it/ to keep the picture of a loving Leo.

In contrast to Adam. Who lets everybody know, that he is angry. Not necessarily with the intension to do so and he sometimes apologies. Still he has difficulty to supress all that anger. Which is totally understandable, im not trying to shame one of them, on how they cope with their anger. this is more an analysation:

so back to my point - angry hölzer. i absolutley love when that fassad breaks trough. When the moment comes where he is just pissed, the whole anger bucket is bubbeling over and he actually says something, adress a problem instead of pushing it away, like that sweet Leo - image would do.

like he is just mad!

Im adding to the point - that Leo is in no way, a non traumatic, healthy, gym going, lettuc eating dude. You can see it, when his shell breaks, when he is so fucking done with adam everything and just

no it isn´t. but its good, show us your anger

it also makes Hörk so much more *them*

If you think that - because Adam is a traumatic, fucked up, mentally ill, angry, sad man. Leo needs to be the healthy, has his life together, component. In order for their friendship/relationship to work. - is just *puhh* i dont know how to explain this to you, but - there is no one that works better together, than two sad traumatic children - ok once they actually worked out, how to work together, in a way that does´nt benefits a toxic relationship - they went through all that shit "together". And to say that one comes out of that "better" than the other one. is, idk weird? They are both coping with it, in different unhealthy ways, Leo is just better at pretending like he isn´t.

Their relationship definitly needs work! and since the last scene, i ask myself:

is love enough, to forgive the pain you caused me?

all these nights i wakend, drenched in sweat

from this repeating nightmare, it wasn´t the thought of loosing you.

I can´t love you from afar but in your presence i´m hurting

And im going to eat gartenwerkzeug wenn sie es nicht schaffen!

Nach all der Scheiße, nach all dem stillen Schweigen, in der Leo seinen Ärger, die Wut und den Schmerz über Adam runtergeschluckt hat. In der Hoffnung das er von selbst zu ihm kommt / ihm vertraut.

Er dabei zugesehen hat wie Adam gegangen ist, nichts gesagt als der ohne eine Vorwarnung zurückgekommen ist. Nur um von ihm in einem Krankenhausflur stehen gelassen zu werden -

-mit der Mittteilung das seine Liebe nichts Wert ist. Hat alles so genommen, schweigend dabei zugehört, ohne Wiederrede - is it love or stupidity?

und verdammte scheiße Adam, ich weiß du würdest 1,2 Millionen Euro nicht über Leo stellen?? ABER ER WEIß DAS NICHT!

NACH ALL DEM MUSS ICH LEO ANGRY SEHEN. Auf seine Art und weiße. Egal wie.

Er geht und lässt Adam einfach mit der Tasche Geld auf dem Parkplatz stehen, ohne einen Blick zurück. Sure.

Grinst ohne jegliche Freude in seinen Augen, während er bedrohlich und leise irgendetwas sagt

Er schreit und lässt seiner Wut den ganzen Platz

seine Schulter sacken zusammen und bevor er sich den Tränen hin gibt, nimmt er einen tiefen Atemzug, zeigt Adam den Mittelfinger und verschwindet.

Egal was, just let him be angry. i want to see his eyes burn!

Let this be his therapy. Let it be a way to restore their friendship. An open door, where Adam can place his trust. Because Leo will guard that shit with his life!

He might not be a ruthless, scary, screaming & throwing punches type of guy. He might not place his anger everywhere - but let him place it to Adams.

Trying to keep Leo out of danger, by scaring him away, by pretending you dont love him. Is like, believing he is not dangerous because, he is scared with a gun in his hands!

so yeah... i love angry Hölzer! he knows exactly how to use - people being blinded by his niceness, his sweet smile, broccoli eating, plant loving, imscared image.

don't let it fool you. inside him shit is raging. And you better watch out - yes Adam will fucking punch you, but Leo will silently destroy you, when you least expect it!!!

ps: no way in hell would Leo punch Adam. like fuck him up, make him feel pain not that he couldnt do it but he just would'nt. bc despite being hurt, he is still a fucking great human being, who would'nt use someones trauma against them!!
