he found himself slowly sipping on tea as he read through this one page for... the second time or so. it was a book from the local library, chosen from interest in the sypnosis on the back (like any other book checked out). while minghao had been going through the pages for a while, nearly halfway in, he was actually waiting for something.
unlike most people, he was a fast reader. i mean- how else would he have ended up at this point in the plot? (the protagonist girl had told the boy that she hoped to never see him again, because of a curse that had affected their bond. it was getting sad, it would lead to somewhere good though, he hoped.) but he was a considerate guy. bless his heart or whatever the elderly said.
the wind from the open window just happened to blow harder though, flipping to the next page. this startled him, and he half-expected the cold dread that had brushed over his good shoulder. "sorry," minghao muttered as he turned the page back. the ghost that haunted his apartment wasn't that fast of a reader.
