Experiment 3
For this experiment, I wanted to try and make some more organic, structural forms. I moulded airdrying modelling clay into mountain scape shapes, manipulating clay to give an organic, natural aesthetic to the forms. After, I decided to wrap selected areas in glad wrap to further to create glacier scapes on the mountain forms. However, the glad wrap, in turn, isolated the clay from being able to dry and harden. In future, I may use a different material instead of glad wrap or add it after the forms have dried with an adhesive.

Experiment 3:
I took some of the edited photos that I had used to layer up digitally in the previous experiment, and decided that I wanted to return to the original material of the box: plastic. I really liked the way that the lines created by the plastic boxes interacted with natural light of their surroundings, and wanted to test this out in a more 2-dimensional way- sort of half-way between digital and physical. To do this I printed a few of the images onto transparent acetate, some in colour and some black and white (to see the effect of colour/light interplay). Then I stacked a few sheets of the acetate on top of each other, varying their orientation and colour/B&W combinations, and stuck them onto my kitchen window- a really good source of natural afternoon light. I liked the way the black and white images just seemed like a flattened, more stark version of the original box stack, but the overlapping colours to me really created an ethereal, almost surreal atmosphere in the room. These pictures also projected some pretty cool looking patterns on the white tiled floor of the kitchen, so I’d like to experiment further with that effect.
-Side note: having the fly-screen background also layered behind some of the images added an extra interesting effect, but I didn’t like the extreme order of the tiny squares almost attempting to contain or categorise the relatively disordered images.

EXPERIMENT 3
I transferred the images from experiment 2 onto my skin like tattoos, inspired by ‘Whole Glory’. This way my skin becomes the poster displaying the information. From here I want to create my own images to represent rebellion in a contemporary context. I will paint them on another person and it would be interesting to have that person displayed in a social place just like a poster. The images could represent topical issues happening in todays society that are making people rebel against them.

ASSESSMENT 3 - CURATED EXPERIMENTS
Experiment 3
Following on from looking at diagrammatic lines in experiment 2, I decided to produce the lines on a larger scale using string and blue-tack. I chose a simple wooden fence as a surrounding for the string to juxtapose. The string interrupts the vertical consistent lines of the fence with lines constructed from many angles and positions that cut across the existing man-built fence lines. The lines subtly create boundaries and new spaces on the fence, changing it’s original state. I left the ball of intwined string to the side acting as the manufacturer from where the string lines come from whilst also contrasting the lines themselves with a messy, unorganised ball of string. I think I will follow this direction of using some sort of material in a diagrammatic sense to juxtapose the shapes in an existing environment.

EXPERIMENT 3
I was thinking about my first assessment and how I could restage that work. I decided to try using the same idea but using technology. I used all of my tumblr blog posts, lowered the opacity and layered them on top of each other which subsequently created an ambiguous blur (similar to that of my first work).
I liked returning to my first assessment and approaching it in a different way however I don't think this method really achieved anything that my first one didn't. I don't think i will continue with in this direction and return back to the idea of art being simultaneously created and destroyed.

Experiment 3: Multitude of Colours and Continuous Layering
With reflection into the previous experiments that showcased the many different layers of sexuality and identity. It is evident that nothing is black and white or this and that. Expression of sexuality and identity holds many different layers, it is complex. There is so much society has still yet to understand in order to progress to an accepting and understanding society.
With this in mind I wanted to use a digital/graphic canvas, that showcases the different colourful layers of sexuality and identity. Better yet, I also wanted to show the process of the layering.
I did this by screen recording, the paint i placed upon the canvas. After every individual splash of paint, I altered the colour and repeated this again.
This took a little while due to only being able to put one splatter on the canvas each time. This artwork had a degree of randomness to it as the location of the splatter was placed randomly on the page.
In the end I was left with a dynamic, colourful and layered piece of work, which held my concept and an aesthetic presence.

Experiment 3: (repetition)
Multiple layers of the same image (from experiment 2) were created and were rotated and placed on top of each other. Soft light mode was used.

The third experiment was inspired by daily communication.Let we think how to chat if we do not have mobile phone?
Tumblr media
Though box,i want to make a thing just like box interphone,it can achieve short distance communication.
Tumblr media
First i found a discarded cardboard box.I started to think how to make it functional.
Tumblr media
Make a figure plate.
I used knife to cut a blue wafer which fix the plate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then i took two paper cup and used a line to connect them, just like telephone.

The box was used as a shelf for paper cups.Done!
