john doe my beloved :)

i decided earlier today that the official name of this comic would be Exploiterz! (still unsure whether or not i should capitalize it all the way like MT PURG.) and i decided that each chapter would be named after the date the events occur, so for the first chapter it would take place on October 18th, 2016!!

and now im gonna share LORE.

SO not a lot of things change when it comes to roblox in my interpretation. it’s just more like everything is in a more cohesive physical location rather than a website. this also means that the accounts all sort of act as humans, and typical roblox things are converted into real-world things. (like making roblox games = construction/architecture/civil engineering, or in a more important example, moderation = government!!!) SO yeah!

all of the testing accounts made in roblox’s alpha period are called “ the board of inspectors,” where basically they test various things to make sure that everything’s working as it should. if it’s not, the inspectors identify the problem and test it over and over until it’s fixed. a lot of them retired after roblox left the alpha stage in 2006, but not John Doe! he stayed in order to help out with patches and whatnot and make sure everything was running smoothly :) but unfortunately, over time there would seem to be various flaws in his work. INTENTIONAL flaws

(now just as a quick disclaimer, the lore in regards to 1x1x1x1 takes reference from both the official roblox interpretation and the urban legends that came from various users over the years. so you think something is unfaithful to what you think is accurate, just note that i am drowning in 30 feet of research and 180p videos from 2011, so i do not intend on being faithful to any one source!!)

over the first few years of roblox’s official run, 2x2 became very unstable atomically due to the 4 dimensional essence of 1x1x1x1 being imprisoned inside of it. In some time around early 2007, John Doe agreed to find the source of the problem and patch it, but when he brought it into his office, the 2x2 brick flung itself across the room and shattered in half. 1x1x1x1 emerged from the brick, and thanked John for freeing him. when John put the brick back together, it seemed like all the problems were fixed!! until an exploit was reported in the crossroads and he had to patch it.

when John Doe visited the banlands to see who the exploiter was (probably to ask questions on how they did it so they can patch it) he met 1x1x1x1 again. (ALSO ANOTHER DISCLAIMER 1x1x1x1 in this interpretation isn’t rlly a hacker in the sense that he uses scripts + cheats to do things. he’s just 4 dimensional. ILL ELABORATE THIS LATER WHEN IM NOT TIRED SHUT UP) When they were done talking, John Doe couldnt conclude what he should patch. So he just decided to say that it was the 2x2 leaking out 4 dimensional essence, pretend to clean that up and let 1x1x1x1 go, saying that the username was just a coincidence. THUS starting a decade long homoerotic friendship between the two!!!!! basically just john pulling him out of the banlands and typical companionship, since they both have pretty isolating existences. EVENTUALLY that would turn into 1x gaining affiliation with other upcoming hackers, and John Doe somehow ending up in the middle of their TOS violation shenanigans!!

damn. that ramble was a lot longer than what I planned it to be. ANYWAYS that’s pretty much all you need to know about the Exploiterz lore (besides some basic knowledge on old roblox) and imo i think the story’s coming along nicely! im almost done with the script of 10/18/2016 and im done with most of the needed character designs! (except for official 1x. SHUT UP HES HARD TO DRAW) if i don’t run out of hyperfixation steam by the time im done, you guys can expect to see some more characters + plot, bcuz i have tons of ideas brewing in my mind as to what can come after the first chapter! right now the chapters mostly just worldbuilding and character development and GAY PEOPLE but i definitely want to expand this more!! okay bye :)
