As weird as it sounds a lot of Spanish speaking people in America tend to be conservative leaning. I'm not saying they all are just that we basically indoctrinate people to the right even if they are part of a group the right hates. So it probably wouldn't even be too hard to find someone with those beliefs here. But just because a number of people believe something doesn't make it true or right. I won't advocate for either side I just wanted to shine light on the American perspective.

Oh trust me, I know. Even on our hispanic countries you are definitely going to find hispanic people who think gender neutral spanish is an abomination of our language and actively hate it. For some bizarre, truly inexplicable coincidence /s, most if not all those people are transphobic and/or are living their anti-feminist dreams in which all feminists are armpit coloured hair yelling nuts who never do anything right or never do it enough. The difference, though, is that at least they are recognizing that it's other hispanic people pushing for gender neutrality. They think we are wrong and doing something useless that won't benefit anyone, but at least they see it's us and not some "white liberal gringo imposing their PC bullshit", like how I see it framed ALL THE TIME whenever it's a gringo/English speaking person deciding to butt in. My issue is when people who are non hispanic, or even some hispanics, pretends like we all gathered on this on one issue and we all agreed on any way about it. The hispanich council has spoken and nobody ever had a problem with it! Imagine, it's the exact same thing as if I decided that all gringos MUST be like Trump and agree with him because, after all, they chose him as a president, or if I decide that all british people are a bunch of terfs because, well, they keep pushing for the terf view on anything so that can only mean everyone agrees with it! Of course that is going to bother anyone of those nationalities that happens to have another perspective. That is how it feels whenever I see this "my hispanic friend said all hispanics hate it", more so when it's in response to english speaking people using latine.
