Shona didn't like to pit the boys against each other, unless of course there was money involved, but something about her connection with Luis felt deeper. Like her older brother could almost read her thoughts, back her up without saying a word, protect her without her needing to ask. It was that sense of safety she'd come to miss so strongly, the reassurance she so desperately needed that everything was alright, and to see him and know he was okay. Shona reluctantly tapped on the door with near frozen knuckles, maybe it was a bad idea to come here but she couldn't bare another evening of wondering about Luis & Barrett.

Waiting for the door to open she bobbed back and forth on her heels in anticipation, every second was agonizingly painful as she clenched her fists to stop herself from bolting. When the door opened her expression crumbled, revealing the terrified, emotional, vulnerable and exhausted woman only he was allowed to know. "I uh.. I hope I'm not interrupting anything important. --I had to see with my own eyes."

❛ this is just boring . are you bored ? ❜ it really didn't matter whether or not the person sitting next to her was friend or foe , angel was desperate . hell , if she wanted mediocre humor she would've just called reuben or figured out where lilo was , which was basically the same as going to the circus . what a waste of her precious time , and for what ? straightening her posture , she allowed herself to place a hand on the other person's shoulder just so they knew she was being serious . ❛ here's an idea : you leave this black hole with me so neither of us looks stupid and as a little thank you , i'll buy you a snack or whatever . what do you say ? take it or leave it . ❜

She wasn't sure why she went to Harry's. She'd worked all day and it was a real drag. She didn't have him to pester or talk to and there was so much extra work to do. She was exhausted, honestly, but also lonely. She wanted a friend but she didn't know what for. So, there she was on his couch as he was telling some story. Her mind was elsewhere though and it was almost as if she was in some sort of trance. Not the type of trances she often goes into. When she heard him say her name her head tilted to look up at him, not just past him. "Sorry, what? I just zoned out for a moment. I'm sorry." Zelda frowned and sunk back into the couch, a somber expression on her face to match her frown. "Sorry, I just...god, I keep saying sorry, don't I?" She sighed before continuing. "I'm just having a difficult time focusing lately." She hadn't felt much like herself since the ball and thought maybe company would help her, but now she just felt like she wasted Harry's time. "I'm sor-- I shouldn't have bothered you this late. I really just needed some company, even if it was sitting in silence. I just need something to distract me." She looks back up at him. "Do you work tomorrow? I don't want to keep you up too late."

❛ — why do i feel like i know you ? ❜ there was really nothing that prompted leena's question other than her own curiosity and the annoying feeling of knowing someone but being unable to put a name to their face . maybe the copious amounts of wine she'd been indulging in had something to do with that ( not that she was drunk or anything , jubileena bing did not get drunk ) , but who could blame her ? considering the situation at hand , her massive fight with tiffany , leena thought she was handling the situation pretty well . right , tiff . ❛ lydia ? ... vidia . yeah , that's right . ❜ if tiffany's ex was alive and kicking , maybe there was hope for her . huge maybe . ❛ i'm actually great with names but , you know , ❜ she raised her glass , blaming it on the drink .

HANS SCANNED VIDIA'S BODY HUNGRILY in her costume, his gaze lingering on her chest for a few seconds too long. He licked his lips before grinning and making a beeline for her, before someone else slotted themselves next to her. "You should know that outfit would drive men to insanity." he mused. "What time does it come off at?"

❛ is it poor manners to come to a tavern and not order any alcohol ? ❜ not that victoria was looking for an excuse to get drunk ( in fact , she had never been drunk before ) , but she also didn't want to cause a bad first impression as a costumer . curiosity took the best of her and she decided that regardless of whether or not she had company , it couldn't hurt to explore a new place in town — especially one so popular . the woman was still a bit perplexed over the fact that she was indeed in a tavern ; her mother would probably have fainted at such news . taverns were slimy places fit for drunks and brutes , not ladies ! ❛ perhaps i should order some grape juice and pretend it's wine ... what do you think ? ❜

It was the first time Diablo had invited Luis over to his new place. It wasn't exactly all that 'new' at this point. He'd made sure the place was clean before his friend arrived. The place was nice, more spacious but it definitely had a different...touch than Diablo's last place. It was very clear his girlfriend was there quite often. Things like candles and 'decoration towels' had suddenly become a thing. Diablo didn't quite understand the towel thing himself but the candles did smell nice. They were currently on his couch and Diablo had just finished doing a line before sinking back into the couch as his high hit. "Dude, I told you this shit was good." He looked over and grinned at Luis. "You want like, a drink or something?"

After wandering upon the casino and meeting the 'kind' owner Jack decided to give it a second go. He didn't mind the vibe the place was supposed to give off but that feeling that something was off returned the moment he'd sat at the bar. It wasn't long after he'd had his first drink and was working on his second that the feeling grew stronger. He felt like someone was watching him and saw Luis standing not far away his expression turned sour. He knew the younger man had been watching him for some reason. "And to what do I owe the pleasure, Luis?" Jack asked him before taking another sip of his gin and tonic. His usual. He noticed the way Luis was dressed and curiosity took over him. His expression changed, as if he were already questioning the other. "Do you work here?" he inquired. "Interesting. You must know the owner then. He's quite the generous man. I must say he gave me a decent first impression." Jack had mostly been speaking his thoughts as he'd unraveled the mystery in his head. "Hm. Well, I suppose you can't terrorize me then if I'm simply a customer here." Though Jack had the feeling that Luis would still manage to find a way.

ZANE SIGHED AS HE PLACED HIS carving tool onto the table, deflated shoulders drooping down as he took in the scene; a terribly carved pumpkin. Shaking his head he turned to the person next to him for inspiration, which left him gaping and feeling ridiculously untalented. "Woah.. that's like insane" he beamed, looking between her & the plump vegetable. "How come yours doesnt cave in on itself? Its like witchcraft!"

❛ ghoulness , i wasn't expecting them to put halloween decor for sale so soon ... ah , sorry ! ❜ the vampire took a step back , hoping she wasn't being too much of a bother to the other . there was something about spotting holiday decor ( a specific holiday , that is ) on the selves that captured her attention with terrible ease , much more than sibella wanted to admit . who could blame her , it was practically an entire holiday dedicated to her and the ghouls ! ❛ didn't mean to get in your way . gothic and spooky decor draws me in like a moth to the light ! ❜ sibella tells them , followed with a raspy giggle . ❛ what's your favorite holiday ? ❜

SHONA SAT FORWARD IN A HUNCHED POSITION, desperately trying to sick her gingerbread walls together with a thick layer of delicious white frosting. She didn't mind christmas time, but she was out of her depth when it came to those cutesie little hallmark movie activities; like this treacherous one. "This is impossible!" she groaned between clenched teeth. "And my hands are sticky. This isnt fair you're the artist-- you've got the upper hand."

❛ ooo , you're a doll ! ❜ there's both excitement and playfulness in angel's voice , and she promptly skips towards the familiar figure . she might be a little too proud of her joke but , to be fair , she'd always considered herself an entertainer , and such a wonderful sense of humor goes to prove it . ❛ that big knife thing almost looks real . almost , ❜ chuckling , she stood on her tiptoes to give him a hug and a tiny peck on the cheek . a platonic one , naturally . ❛ i was hoping you'd be here , it wouldn't be a real party without you . ❜ although to be frank , angel hadn't been to many parties or human gatherings as such , so there was only so much she knew constituted one . this might as well be one of the very first . ❛ say , if my costume doesn't win me a goodie bag , promise you'll steal one for me ? ❜

Halloween was Zelda's favorite time of year. As far as she was concerned it lasted the entire month of October. She wanted to enjoy as many things she could that month. Dressing up and having a few too many drinks was certainly something that was destined to happen. Zelda was having fun, engaging in a few activities between drinks but when she spotted a certain someone she was quick to approach. "Boo!" she yelled out from behind and giggled when he turned around. "Were you scared?" she asked with a smile. It was clear that she was enjoying herself and was a bit drunk, but hey! Everyone deserves to let loose sometimes. Zelda leans towards Harry and looks up at him. "It's kind of cold out here. You're just a teddy bear though! Are you cold? Teddy bears are so good at keeping people warm. I should know. I have a giant one." She giggles again, not realizing for once that she's rambling. She was blissfully unaware. "Do you want a drink? They have different Halloween themed ones that are so good."

HANS SNICKERED AS HE PICKED UP A DELICATE length of ruby red, chiffon to be used as a bow. Too fancy to be placed upon a poorly wrapped gift from him, but wide enough to just barely cover a few centimeters. His mind was running wild with how little to the imagination it could leave on a person. "Haven't I seen you in this before?" he asked, his eyebrow raising as his expression remained a mixture between mischievous and ravenous. "Or was that just a fantasy that never got played."
