Where Do Fairy Tales Get Their Start?

The origins of fairy tales may be traced back to ancient folklore, which consists of stories spoken verbally from one generation to the next. These stories were frequently recounted in households or around campfires, and they captivated the imaginations of listeners of all ages. If you were compelled right this moment to retell the story of Cinderella, you would probably have little trouble doing so.

The evil stepmother, the glass slipper, the stroke of midnight, and so on and so forth are all clichés. However, one thing that they were unquestionably doing was ensuring that their collection had all of the gruesome details of the stories that were intended to teach lessons.

You've certainly heard that the majority of fairy tales in their original forms were considerably more violent than they are in the later Disneyfied versions, but it's still stunning how much darker they were in their original forms.
