Fashion Photography: A Genre Everyone is Talking About

Fashion is a broad chain of style, self-expression and personal attributes which undergoes different stages of changes as per the ongoing trend in the market. Fashion vastly steers as per the trend, and is likely to change anytime the market hovers away from the current shore. Be that as it may, fashion equally also requires a genre we all know as Fashion Photography.  Fashion photography is known as a genre of photography primarily devoted to exhibiting clothing lines, alongside other major areas of fashion. Fashion photography is equally also prioritised in every fashion industry, including but not limited to runway, streetstyle and more.  Fashion photography can be most often seen for various fashion magazines (including but not limited to Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair and more), or advertisements. Fashion photography has definitely hiked up the game, especially because it is one of the few ways for designers (both freshly emerging and old players) to get their ideas on to the first page for publicity.  With time rolling by, fashion photography has gradually developed its own aesthetic wherein clothes and fashion are generally slowly paced up by the presence of accessories and exotic, far-flung locations. Fashion photography does not alone cover clothing and items, but model photography and casual photoshoots as well. The best part is that it's really not limited to the giant, big parts of the industry – but also the simple, ongoing ones as well. Although it looks pretty alluring from a distance, fashion photography does also include a wide range of research, especially in identifying the right angle and the appropriate setting.  Fashion, as many assert and accept, is not bound within a circle of affluent cliques. Quarantining People That Thrive on Social Interactions

            Since the start of the novel coronavirus pandemic in December 2019, it seems the world has had to go into quarantine. While social isolation is necessary for the safety of everyone, the group with the highest risk for severe illness happen to be the same group that need social interaction the most—senior citizens.

             “It depends on their cognitive levels,” said Patrick C. Leifer, business office manager at Aegis Assisted Living Mercer Island. “People who were more independent were able to understand why their family were no longer visiting. Some need reminding and some can’t fully understand.”

             Leifer said that while residents are not able to leave the facility other than for doctor appointments, Aegis have life enrichment programs and offer one-on-one activities to keep their residents entertained. He encourages families to call and video chat with their loved ones to maintain interaction as an alternative.

             “A lot of the residents felt sad and disappointed,” said Maria R. Law, nursing assistant registered at Pacifica Senior Living Lynnwood.

             Neither Leifer nor Law had any trouble getting cooperation from the residents. Most of them understood the need to take precautions while others who struggled cognitively needed reminders of the potential health implications should they or their families go against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

            Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee declared restrictions early March on visitors to long-term care facilities such as assisted-living facilities and nursing homes. This restriction was announced after Washington’s initial outbreak in a Kirkland nursing home.

            “One of the big pressing issue is that a lot of assisted living facilities and nursing homes are under scrutiny because of the close proximity,” Leifer said.

             Some long-term care facilities such as Aegis offer a private apartment for each resident while others such as Pacifica offer cottage-style living with multiple private bedrooms but clustered living spaces.

             Leifer and Law both said that since the spread of the COVID-19 virus, their respective assisted-living facility are doing everything they can to follow the CDC guidelines. On top of not allowing visitors, residents are encouraged to stay in their private living spaces, and employees are required to wear masks at all times.

             “We were taught to be really intentional with being clean,” Law said.  

             Leifer said everyone would rather be with their families but overall, the residents are doing well. He is hopeful for a cure by the start of 2021, but he understands that this will be the new normal for the time being.

তার সাথে কথা বলার শুরুতে তাকে বেশ সাদামাটা মনে হলেও, এমানুষটির চিন্তাচেতনা আর দশজন থেকে বেশ আলাদা। বর্তমানে বেশির তাগ বাবা মা যেখানে তার মেয়ে সন্তানকে ‍উচ্চশিক্ষিত করে বিয়ে করে সংসার করবে এ আশাই লালন করে, সেখানে একজন নিম্মবিত্ত মানুষ হয়েও তিনি সপ্ন দেখেন তার স্ত্রী ‍উচ্চশিক্ষিত হয়ে চাকরি করুক ।

১৯৯৮ সালে এইচ. এস. সি পাস করে সেনাবাহিনীতে সৈনিক পদে যোগদান করেন মাজেদ। তিনি বলেন, সেখানে আমি মেডিকেল কোরে মেডিকেল অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট পদে সিএমএইচ হাসপাতালে কর্তব্যরত ছিলাম। কিন্তু শারীরিক অসুস্থার দরুন ২০০৩ সালে আমি চাকরি ছেড়ে দেই।

ছোটবেলা থেকেই পুলিশ বা সেনাবাহিনীতে চাকরি করার সপ্ন দেখা মাজেদ তারপর ছোটোখাটো ব্য়বসায় করেন এবং সিকিউরিটি গার্ডের কাজ করেন । ২০০৩ সালে তিনি বিয়েও করেন। নিজের সপ্নের চাকরি চলে যাওযার কারণেই হয়তো নিজ থেকে খুব কম বয়সী স্ত্রীকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন যে তাকে উচ্চশিক্ষিতা করে সরকারি চাকরি করাবেন ।

মাজেদ বলেন, আমার স্ত্রী বর্তমানে মকবুর হোসেন ডিগ্রী কলেজে মাস্টার্স করছে । আশা করি তারপর তাকে একটি সরকারি চাকরি জোগার করে দিবো। এটাই আমার সপ্ন ।

তিনি আরও বলেন, ছেলে অষ্টম শ্রেণিতে ও মেয়ে পঞ্চম শ্রেণিতে পড়ালেখা করছে। মেয়েটাকে পড়ালেখা করাতে চাই। আর ছেলের অনার্স শেষ হলে ভাল একটি সরকারি যেন করতে পারে সে স্বপ্নই দেখি।

মাজেদ সরকারের মতো এশহরে হাজার মানুষ রয়েছে যাদের মাসিক আয় অনেক কম, কিন্তু কয়জন তার মতো সপ্ন দেখে । আমাদের আসে পাশে অনেকে রয়েছে যারা নারী শিক্ষাকে সহজে মেনে নিতে পারে না । যারা কিনা নারী চাকরিজীবি হোক তা চায় না । এমন অনেক পুরুষ মানুষ আছেন যাদের অহমে লাগে যখন তার স্ত্রী তার থেকে বেশি উপার্জন করে ।

মাজেদ সরকার এই হাজার মানুষে মাঝে একজন যার হাত ধরে সমাজে পরিবর্তন সম্ভব । তিনি অনুকরণীয় ।
