#the hyperindividualism is getting to be sooo detrimental it was never about solely prioritizing#its about achieving a balance which people seem to forget like you dont need to be a doormat but you also dont need to completely forget#your sense of community? to me community is such a nebulous meaningless term but there is still value in recognizing that you are part of a#greater whole you literally cannot exist without other peoples help and efforts and this whole trend of ONLY prioritizing the self in#the name of protecting your boundaries is wack#it feels like the is a movement of self-care that is formed as a response to realizing the childhood traumas and yeah its true that healing#starts with validating oneself but it doesnt stop there! idk. we seem to be forgetting community#cant believe /im/ saying this but its true#community doesnt only mean a shallow network of acquaintances it also means paying to those that live at the fringes#this is a lot of moralizing i know but its just a really weird that im noticing#feels like capitalism has preyed upon childhood trauma via the guise of protecting our be boundaries and self-validation only to#further isolate us from community. which! is what destabilizes it (:#txt
