my prompt fill for @muffinmoonn for @femslashgelion 2023! i chose AsuRei wedding, thank you for such a truly delightful concept -- the more i thought about it the happier & sappier i got bc my girls deserve to be happy & adored & treasured 🩵🧡

(aside from the colouring of the "our wedding" title this was all traditional. the main piece with the kiss was watercolour pencils, fineliner, & pastel bg; the vows comic used faber-castell 'manga' brush pens)

It's all she's been able to think about for weeks, despite her best efforts. Maybe she was worrying over nothing - hell, for every supposed victim, millions more birthdays had come and gone without issue. It'd be ridiculous to think he could get to every last one, especially considering that he's apparently been at this since the eighties, or the seventies, or every decade prior stretching back through eternity. It feels like it's been an eternity, but someone does eventually approach her. They aren't picking up their coat, either. In fact, they hadn't even brought one. "Asuka." Asuka's eyes scan upward, from a years-old pair of combat boots to a stark white dress, until they finally arrive at Rei Ayanami's piercing scarlet gaze. "It's almost four in the morning," she informs, as if Asuka somehow isn't aware. "We're going to have to leave soon."
