OKAY, so I actually thought on this and honestly? Probably wouldn't be as bad as absolute dog shit because the thing is like even if he's been in and out of arkham and gone mad like... casual reminder, these were and still are people who have had lives before they went off the deep end. Jervis had a p high end job so I think it would just be adjusting in terms of "this is a certain way I should be acting" and dealing with people...in general.

I think if he had to legitimately and had pressure he'd act accordingly. unless it has to do with any of his fixation he goes from "I"M GOTHAMS ONE AND ONLY MAD HATTER!!!!!!!!" to the shambling hollow shell of his older composed self. He's confident and unapologetic when he has the power in his hands, without it he is very "a heem heem" though saying it like that makes me think back to my own drawing where his "old self" got the queens treatment so... Shambling corpse without a head with a name tag silently looking at you with the disembodied head going "hi, how may I help you" sheepishly.

I also work retail and I literally had a nightmare that I forgot my name tag (which I ended up doing my next shift so that was crazy) and every single customer was like "what's your name?" and it kept going until I woke up with a fright literally saying my name out loud. So yay! Retail!

I hope you know when you actually gave me this response i was on shift at the time so couldn't actually answer. (also the others bc I was dogshit tired) But like LAOIHGUIDGH I'm ngl you and me had the same phenomena because I had a dream just yesterday that I was on shift and I looked down to my register like "I wonder when I get off" Then I wokE UP TO THE MORNING LIK E "I WASN'T EVEN IN THE BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to know the family relationship between Chester and Rory. Does Chester make a good father?

Chester has his flaws but he is relatively a good father, he eventually becomes like windsor in the way of he's very superstitious to rorys perspective (which is warrented by the supernatural he's dealt with) Type of father to take your kid seriously if they think they saw a monster outside or in the room and genuinely check. he has gone outside to check with a gun (sawed off shotgun) in hand legitimately to check out something rory thought he saw. He takes the kids seriously with shit like that but the problem is he's very protective. if anyone fucks with his kids he is still chester even if he's mellowed to a degree, aka hands rated E for everyone and will literally go to hell for any of them.
