HOW HAS YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE CHANGED FOR SUMMER? _______________________________________________________ Meet Feuillete! Feuillete was founded with a mission to “create clean, nontoxic, high performance skincare products to highlight your natural glow, and empower you to love the skin you’re in.” The brand’s first 2 products are the Smooth Water Essence, a pulpy, pampering toner and Fresh Intensive Cream, a wonderfully lightweight gel-cream for oily skin — or all skin types in summer. And that’s why it’s one of my summer moisturizer picks! Feuillete’s Fresh Intensive Cream is a treasure trove of pro-skin health goodness. The formula is infused with a pair of fermented actives, including Panax Ginseng Root Ferment Filtrate. There’s lots to enjoy including brightening Niacinamide at perhaps 5% and multiple humectants, including Sodium Hyaluronate, Centella Asiatica Extract and Beta-Glucan. I get all tickled when I see a brand was wise enough to include Beta-Glucan in a formula. It’s a skin health superstar. Feuillete’s Fresh Intensive Cream is a veritable cocktail of actives that help treat multiple skin concerns, including dull skin, oily skin, pore-prone skin — and particularly reactive and sensitive skin. Do you see yourself in any of that? I know I do! Plus, the Fresh Intensive Cream is simply a pleasure to use. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but the texture is truly wonderful. It reminds me a bit of Laneige’s popular Water Bank Hydro Gel moisturizer. I’m intrigued by Feuillete and what the brand has in store. Happy Thursday! Today it's my first night back at work and I'm kinda nervous. It's been over six months since I've done facials and I have no idea if any of my regular will come back. While all my work stuff is uncertain, what is pretty certain is my feelings on my @feuilleteskincare products. Read on below to see what I think. . . . Feuillete is a #kbeauty brand that encourages women to embrace their natural glow and they focus on creating clean, non-toxic, high performance skincare. They were kind enough to send these products over for an honest review. . . . The smooth water essence was actually named one of the best toners of 2020 by @marieclairemag due to its fragrance free, brightening and hydrating formulation. It was also named one of the best korean essences by @style.craze After using this it's easy to see why it's so loved. It has great ingredients like saccharomyces ferment, niacinamide, beta glucan and centella asciatica. This product is somewhere between a hydrating toner and an essence and makes my skin feel so plump and hydrate it's insane. I absolutely love it and it gets top marks from me. . . . The fresh intensive cream might not have the same accolades as the smooth water essence but it's still a heavy hitter and a great moisturizer. Some key ingredients are red ginseng, niacinamide, ceramides, beta glucan and centella asciatica. The texture is lightweight but hydrating and absorbs very quickly. My only complaint is that there is no sunscreen but this is not advertised as a day cream so it gets a pass I would just like that for convenience. This moisturizer also gets a passing grade from me and treated my sensitive skin well. . . . I'm so grateful that I got the chance to try these products from @feuilleteskincare because these have worked fabulously for my sensitive skin. WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO SUMMER MOISTURIZER? _______________________________________________________ Exactly a year ago this week, I had the idea of crafting a blog article about lightweight summer moisturizers. There’s nothing worse than skin care that’s too heavy in the heat. I got really, really into it and actually ended up writing two separate articles — each of which covered 5 distinct moisturizers for oily skin and all skin types in summer. After all, we’re all kinda oily on hot, humid days. Summer is the great skin equalizer! So here I am a year later, looking at the plethora of moisturizers I’ve accumulated in my journey. A lot has changed in skin care in the last year. Of course, there are entirely new brands that didn’t even exist last summer, including SELF/ish, Organic the New Beauty and Feuillete — all of which are featured in Part 1 of my two-part piece.
