MURDER FOR A JAR OF RED RUM ▪︎ ☆ Note: Entry for FFPC # 8 Prompt Challenge organised by @bymepoetry - Septlinea (seven line poem with rhyme scheme: ABCDCBA). • ☆ Details: 》This is a reverse poem, you can read the poem backwards word by word, and it means differently, though not necessarily in the opposite way; and here, except for the fourth line. (That is, it goes like this - "Slaughter ruminations, ruthless... Laughter, fatal and final.") 》The fourth line is special because: a. It doesn't rhyme with any line in accordance with the Septlinea. b. It is a true palindrome (the individual letters read the same forwards and backwards). 》This is what I like to call a Surrealistic Poem, which I'm a bit partial to. I rarely ever post them because it takes explaining. It's a bit convoluted, almost meaningless to anybody else but me, serving as a bridge between my conscious and my unconscious. ▪︎ Reading forwards: . Theme: Method in Madness┃Description: Imagery, depicting a last ditch attempt at a failing event, old tears shed at having tried the same thing to expect something else (the 'method' is madness), a stupid thing done, the revelation leaving a person sad. His conscience is made obvious, his ruminations now ruthless, 'slaughtering'. The laughter here, is that of a desperate, 'tragic humour' quality. * * * Reading backwards: . Theme: Madness made Method┃Description: When you viciously slaughter conscious thought, and fuel a cunning conscience instead, sadness is turned into rage, since the madness is made the method, in this case. Tears run dry, & this time, the laughter takes on a hysterical quality. . However, both instances are brought on by something lost. ▪︎ ☆ 📸: Pinterest ▪︎ #cinderconecrucible #ffpcbyme #bymepoetry #murderforajarofredrum #surrealism #poetry • #apoeticlove #apoeticview #herheartpoetry #silverleafpoetry #heartofpoets #societyofpoetry #poeticreveries_ #poemoftheday #inclusivepoetry #poetsofinstagram #poetrycommunity #poetryisnotdead #poets_area #creativewriting #writersnetwork #poetrysociety #poemoftheday #thewritersturf #streetwritersofficial #globalagepoetry #evepoetrygroup #theurbanpoets #packpoetry #heartofquill #poetsandwriters (at Red Rum) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDpWQk7FsOv/?igshid=r66rd9yh6b0k

When the world sleeps I stay awake framing questions and looking for answers. Why was this world created? What's the purpose of this life? Why do we love? Does true love exist? Why people confuse lust with love? Why people make fake promises? Why did he leave? Is there a soulmate for everyone? Why some people are more blessed than others? What could've been and what should not be? Why do we care for some people even if they hurt us? Why we hurt people who love us? Does everything actually happen for good? Whose good? And who decides that? Why can't animals speak? What will my dog say if he could speak? Why is moon so far? Why can't we make a trip to the planets and be back? Why some animals are better than humans? Why some humans are worse than animals? Why it takes most of our lives to figure out how to live? Why people remain in toxic relationships? Why we let others control us? Why people have become each other's enemies? Why don't we love peace even though that's what everyone desires from within? Why politicise and commercialise everything? Why money has become more important than anything else? How can this world be a better place? How can I help? How do I leave a person bette than I found them? How can my art help someone come out of tough times? And so many more.... I don't know if I'll ever find answers but I do know that I'll keep writing and asking questions until then. #FFPCByMe by @bymepoetry Follow @dakshawatts for more quotes and poetry . . #poetry #love #poetrycommunity #writersofinstagram #poet #poems #kind #poetsofinstagram #writer #art #writing #lovequotes #wordporn #quote #thoughts #love #quoteoftheday #writersofig #notetoself #commonsense #kindnessmatters #instagram #writerscommunity #poetryofinstagram #igpoets #inspirationalquotes #wordsofwisdom #poetrylovers #bhfyp — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/324f4Uy

REWARD & TRAGEDY by V. K.┃Theme: Tragedy┃Précis: Response to tragedy, torment and trial, perseverance, evaluation of consequence, result. ▪︎ A response to FFPC Prompt 5: If objects had a voice, what would they say?┃Hosted by By Me Poetry and Kaarvan Crafts Foundation. ▪︎ Description: I have taken two objects, the magma/lava and diamond, and put them in a compare and contrast fashion. Both undergo great suffering, subjected to incredibly high 'pressures'. The poem describes their responses to tragedy, and how they react to this torment, and what they become as a result. It emphasises that no one response is right or wrong, just that it simply is as nature intended. How you evaluate your circumstances (perspective) is uniquely you, what you can stand is determined only by you, and thus also, how you act is entirely up to you. While the lava or magma loathes its circumstances, blaming even the skies and clouds for its reaction, the diamond endures in an aloof resilience. The magma resents how it is viewed, as this monster, this "calamity", pleading, appealing to the reader's sympathy, trying to justify the consequence, while the diamond seems to be amused by people's fascination, almost unaffected, a certain nobility in its composure. Seemingly, both are bitter and 'hardened' by the experience, the difference being that one reacts, and the other acts. • ☆ 📸: Pinterest • #ffpcbyme #kaarvancraftsfoundation . #cinderconecrucible #rewardandtragedy #poetry . #herheartpoetry #bymepoetry #silverleafpoetry #heartofpoets #apoeticview #societyofpoetry #poeticreveries_ #bleedingsoulpoetry #poem #poemoftheday #poetsofinstagram #poetryofig #poetrycommunity #poets #poetryisnotdead #poetryporn #creativewriting #writersnetwork #poetrysociety #poemoftheday #writersnetwork #train_river_publishing #omypoetry #streetwritersofficial #globalagepoetry #evepoetrygroup #inclusivepoetry . @a.b.baird_publishing (at Tragedy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCXROnkjra8/?igshid=1h921y7ofi4mo
