These sets are drawn in or produced on loose paper and photographed and then added in to the Book of Lamentations as part of the ongoing life drawing online offered by #liverpoolindependentartschool and #the_liverpool_nude Because of the usual Instagram formatting issues they are not in chronological order but presented in the way the shape of drawing fits with others without being strangely cropped. The first is in stick and ink on brown paper and was from a day of very quick poses and movement. The second a smaller acrylic study when we had been thinking about expressionism (originally drawn into the Book of Days) the third is from the rerun of the movement session - this time handled differently using continuous line and coloured fine-liner. the fourth is from the same session run for the third time, this time as a free taster for the general public, to which our patrons also came. I find it interesting to approach a set of drawings which are repeated by using different materials each time. Karolina Grabowska cierpi nie tylko na różne alergie, ale także choruje na Atopowe Zapalenie Skóry (AZS). Wygląd jej skóry zmienia się, jak sama pisze, i niemal wszystko może u niej wywołać stan zapalny od kurzu po obecność zwierząt. Jej naczynia krwionośne są osłabione z powodu pękania. Mimo smarowania się różnymi środkami i zażywania leków, objawy nie ustępują, a swędzenie jest tak dokuczliwe, że nie pozwala funkcjonować. Karolina Grabowska is allergic and suffers from Atopic Dermatitis. According to her, the look of her skin alters and nearly everything can cause inflammation whether it is dust or presence of animals. Her blood vessels are weakened because of constant bursting. Monika Murawska -- On the one hand, the work is a record of personal suffering and struggles. But on the other hand, it becomes a visual presentation of our imprisonment in the body. This body exposes us to the world and is our vehicle of being in the world. But its socialisation, and thus, commercialisation and commodification makes it not just a tool that we use.
