“Sugar Plum Twist”

Starring: No one you’ve ever heard of—Jamie Gray “Not a dancer” Hyder and Laura Rosguer

Her badass job: Ballet choreographer

His “that’s a job?” job: Lighting director/English teacher/drama teacher/youth after-school program fundraiser

Setting: Richmond, Virginia (or inside a snow globe. Hard to tell.)

Ridiculous third act conflict: The choreographer gets suspended by her uptight Russian/not Russian boss

Steaminess (out of 5 ☕️): Zero hot cocoas. This one doesn’t fit our HCMU (Hallmark Christmas Movie Universe) outline! (Despite us both hoping that this was a Christmas movie about a lesbian couple who connects over their mutual love of the dance.)

Overall holiday joy: A partridge in a pear tree. Not a bad movie, but I feel no need to watch it again.
