Now I was a little apprehensive about today’s appointment with @targetnutritionandfitness because this month has involved a bit of pity partying lol. Ive had some really high stress events going on, I bailed on workouts, I reintroduced balance meals after being completely sugar free the month before and worked heaps of hours at work. As I say this though I also want to remind myself that whilst things weren’t exactly perfect, life wasn’t meant to be! This isn’t about pefection, it used to be and that mindset got me nowhere. Balance meals ARE ok! Cake is ok! Listening to your body is a must and this journey I’m on isn’t a fad or a diet, I’m going to eat and exercise this way for life so however long it takes me to get to goal doesn’t really matter. It’s about mindset and as I said in my earlier post, that’s where the most progress for me was this month and out of anything in my life, that’s what needed to change the most! Soooo the physical changes? I know you guys are itching to know! THIS MONTH.... *I lost 2.6kg *I went down by almost 1% body fat! (Im now at 28.6% and the big one... *MY METABOLIC AGE IS 31!!!!! Last month is was 33 and the month before 38 and guess what! I’m 34 so I now officially have a “fast metabolism” SO What’s next for me? I’m currently completing the @lean 30 day quit sugar challenge again and I will continue to get my monthly body scans with @targetnutritionandfitness and work with coach @mj_fitlife and I’m ganna chip away at my ultimate goal of reaching 25% body fat! Workout crushed 🏋️ Something exciting is happening today. Number 1 it appears kaddy is better now and number 2 I am going to see Tammy from @targetnutritionandfitness to see what progress I’ve made this month!!! Now this journey has taught me a few things. Slow and steady wins the race. I no longer drastically reduce my calorie intake or exercise my body to exhaustion. This is a lifestyle change. I only do what I know I will be able to stick to for the rest of my life. This includes having the balance meals like takeaway, cake, less intense workouts if my body calls for it. I have put my body through hell over the years. Starvation, binge drinking, laxatives, drugs, excessive exercising, weight loss pills, not exercising at all... you name it I’ve tried it I guarantee you. So these days I listen to my body and I’m kind. I don’t punish myself and you guys shouldn’t either. What’s the point of that. I would never treat any of you guys with disrespect so why the fuck do we treat ourselves with such disrespect!? Anyways! I can’t wait to share this months results with you all, whatever they may be! Maybe there won’t be any physical changes! That’s okay!!! I know I’m seeing progress but FAR OUT it’s hard to deal with my head sometimes. Hopped on the scales and DID NOT LIKE WHAT I SAW!!! My whole life I’ve kinda weighed a shit ton more then anyone else and I think it’s because I’ve always been kinda sporty. I did a lot of skating and gymnastics and muscle weighs more then fat. I know this. But when I see the scales creep up I panic and now that I’m concentrating so heavily on weights of course I’d be building more muscle. For this reason I’m throwing out the scales and will now only track my progress on scales that track my muscle as well. So I’ve booked back in with Tammy from @targetnutritionandfitness because her scales are going to give me the whole picture and my gosh I need to concentrate on something other then that god damn stupid number lol.
