These were made for a commercial setting, with the blue bird made as a request after the first one sold.

The plants used are all succulents that are not native to the area. The big one in the back has a few different names, but they tend to be known by "mother of millions." due to the way they reproduce.

Flowers would totally be something i'd use for this without a couple logistical challenges. Which are A) flowers are so fucking expensive joly shit roses went from 3$ to 4 and like that doesn't sound like alot but when your ordering a hundred or so for mothers day by god dose it add up.

B) they are. Such fussy. Little bitches. To keep alive and pretty. The way these baskets are currently set up, they could live on for probably 4-8 years before they need replanting but you'd get like. Maybe a week or two out of most flowers you could use here. Probably less if i were to go with my gut and use a blooming branch like forsythia or maybe a fruit tree.

I also.make a point to sneak pride flags into my work.because i can. Pansexual bi and trans are probably the most common because theyre dimple and pleasing.

.misc note is they are technically a "spring sale" planter rather than mothers day specifically but like. We do it the day before mothers day. Sigh.
