Sitting on the bathtub, Bucky looked down at his hand, a frown appearing on his brow. There was a nasty cut on his palm but it was all stitched up already though he didn’t really remember when that had happened. In fact, he didn’t remember how he had gotten into the bathtub in the first place or the reason Steve looked soworried. 

“I---” He started, looking up at his friend, watching as Steve grabbeda wet cloth and cleaned some blood from his face, running his fingersthrough his hair. “I-I’m sorry.” He said, swallowing thickly. He wasn’t sure what he had done but it seemed that he gave Steve quite a fright.But the last thing he remembered was the other saying he was going tothe store, that he was going to be back in ten minutes. Bucky...Bucky hadbeen watching TV or something. A movie? “I’m okay.” He decided to say,leaning into Steve’s touch. “I’m okay.”

Bucky sighed, pushing himself up, pecking the other’s cheek,staying there for a little longer than necessary, then leaning his forehead against Steve’s.

“It’s not your job to save me, my love.” He whispered, eyesclosed. “Just love me.” He continued, just as soft, a secretshared between just them. “And the rest will sort itself out.”
