Bright Stream's Death

I've started reading The Sun Trail, I'm on Chapter 7. I personally like it so far, but that might change because it's just traveling. I've been thinking about how I could possibly change some deaths, like Fluttering Bird's and Bright Stream's as they are the only cats who've died.

(I haven't gotten to Bright Stream's death yet but it'll be in a few pages and Broken Feather also died but he's staying dead).

It'll go either 2 ways:

Clear Sky wouldn't let her. They just found out they possibly could be parents and Clear Sky is so excited, of course he wouldn't want his mate possibly getting hurt or worse. Despite her protests, he holds her back and Gray Wing runs to chase the eagles away. Possibly i could have him get grabbed or I'll have another cat take her place, that does mean Tiger Tail and Pale Sky live! (or whatever I decide to change their names to). I don't really know how Storm and Clear Sky will work but I'll probably have it be like an Aspen Whisker/Smoke situation. Also, Storm does live and Gray Wing might take her place. That means Thunder has three moms! (Storm, Turtle Tail, and Bright Stream. And possibly Slate.)

or

2. Goes in a similar way but Bright Stream goes with Gray Wing and does grabbed by the eagle but frees herself.

(Also was thinking she does get carried off by the eagle but she lives, gives birth, and dies. But I don't think I'm gonna do that.)

Quiet Rain and her daughter Fluttering Bird, then older sons Clear Sky/Skystar (old design) and Gray Wing. Two of Clear Sky's mates, Bright Stream and Storm, and his and Storm's biological son Thunder(star) (old design). Thunder's mate Violet Dawn, and their kits Shell Claw, Feather Ear, Lightning Stripe, and Sleek Fur. Then Thunder's foster mother Hawk Swoop, her mate Jackdaw's Cry and his sister Falling Feather, and their kits Lightning Tail and Acorn Fur.

OK so we know how Quiet Rain's mate, aka Skystar, Gray Wing and Jagged Peak's father, is not in the picture. I don't remember if he's dead or something but we don't know his name.

I just realized that both Skystar and Jagged Peak gave their kits a name with "Dew" in it (Dew Nose, son of Jagged Peak, and Dew Petal, daughter of Skystar).

So now I headcanon that his name had "dew" in it, because except for a legacy name, why would you give your kid almost the same name as their first cousin?

Also we've got two names related to geography/the middle where they live (Clear Sky and Jagged Peak) in the kits and two names about birds (Gray Wing and Fluttering Bird). Quiet Rain is about the place they live so I think the father's name had something to do with birds.

And that's how you've got my headcanon that the father's name was Dew Feather or Dew Flight, something like that.

dotc leader height chart i made for an english project i'm doing!! poor river is the tallest, so he gets buried behind everyone else lol wind runner is probably the only design here that i don't 100% love but i'm working on her :33 don't let the average height fool you btw. the mountain cats are big-- generally fluffier, more built, stronger legs for leaping--and grey wing, clear sky, tall shadow are the tallest out of the original group and thunder got big cat genes from both parents bird is the runt and cause she was malnourished, so she's smaller than the typical mountain cat but she's still got the muscles and the dexterity that comes with living where she does wind runner is actually the closest to the average height of the cats in the colonies!! she has scary dog privileges with tall shadow backing her up. not that she needs it. wind is a clever menace lmao river's a gentle giant (the reason hawk got three other cats to help him bully river cause. the guy's kinda intimidating) (little does he know river never grew out of his kitten claws and cries whenever he steps on grasshoppers and spiders)

Born to Clear Sky and Bright Storm, an adventures kit, he was the most keen on leaving the Wailing Den after the last White Coat stop showing up, more so when his father convinced his mother to come along with him with the group of cats that were leaving after the death of his brother Fallen Sky. Though his adventures spirit would bring him much pain as he leap into danger without thinking, one case of it causing the death of his beloved uncle Shade Sky. His father never forgave him for that and turn his attention to his sister Fluttering Sky, raising her up to be his successor of their group much to the anger of their mother

It became so much worse that, in hopes of gaining his father’s favor, he would climb a tree to catch a squirrel, a branch breaking which cause him to fall and break his leg. It never healed straight, forever more to be a twisted. His father, deem him weak and thus exile him so he wouldn’t be a burden, outraged Bright Storm went with him, breaking up with Clear Sky. His sister though, stayed with her father, having the same thought process with her father. There they would join up with Bumble Wind’s group

With Clear Sky’s thirst for more territory, it became a head on battle between the two groups. Brothers and sisters, parents and child, friends they all fought.

It all ended when the gods showed up, and in the end as Jagged Sky and Fluttering Sky saw the dead bodies of their parents they knew that things had to stop… and such three groups were form the Thundergrowth founded by the newly named Jagged Thunder, the Windmoor founded by Bumble Wind and the Skycanopy founded by Fluttering Sky
