What inspired you to create Fred?

uh ok ok ok ok ok so i should probably not be writing this while drunk but lol lmao lmao lol yknow

so liiiiiiiiiiiiike im going to be completely honest upfront about this, all my ocs are based on some pre-existing characters and i wear that inspiration on my sleeve because i think trying to hide it is stupid and useless

so fred was created all the way back in 2015, when i lost interest in one of my old hyperfixations. his earliest design acutally makes it very obvious what character he was created from

yea thats right, he was made from the freddy five naf guy. so he just kinda floated around in my mind for a while but then eventually i had the idea to write a tragedy story about people who Just Fucking Suck and ruin each others lives. its definitely a sort of byproduct of mid-2010s tumblr extreme wholesomeness culture. i wanted to create something extremely raunchy, and thats what this story is to this day cause i refuse to drop my old brainstorms

so anyways i developed fred more and more and kept him as the protagonist because his grumpy ass is my babygirl <3

and his design kept evolgving, like first i put him in a tie and black suit so hed look less obviously fnäf-y (and usually a blue shirt for casual outfits to match his blue eyes)

and THEN eventually i doodled THIS picture of fred and his twin brother greg (yea thats right its a fucked up twins kinda thing)

sun and moon symbolism!!!! that was the kicker and thats how i eventually took the story from humans to beings that are sort of human but Not Quite

eventually the idea fully stuck and i decided to make this a universe where all humans have these things called "affections", various traits of nature that affect their biology

first designs are sort of eh, but do note that i already put in the lines on freds face, tear tracks to symbolise a sensitive boy who has a lot of pent up tears. this somehow ties into the moon via uh the tides or something idk

and that led to my current designs of fred and greg! (in an older art style but whatevah)

and thats pretty much where were at right now when it comes to the history of freds design and his twin that hes so closely intertwined with no matter how much he doesnt want to (90% of the things in this story are family drama, in their case greg being their dad's clear favourite)

ghh i dont really have a complete summary anywhere, just bunch of lore in text posts here and there. this one eg is still pretty up to date!got a sideblog for fnaf stuff @clowntrap where i post more detailed thoughts and funny character shenanigans under the fnäf tag. maybe ill get around to making a summary at some point 😬

christine is lesbian, she/her! walks the thin line of functional/disaster lesbian but was certainly more the disaster kind during school time in an all girls school. so intensely closeted she forced herself to be attracted to men 😩

lorraines a distinguished bi lady, she/her! has a preference for men and shes not proud of it. doesnt wanna admit it but her attraction towards women do be making her feel ashamed, and shes working on it :---(

ballora isnt possessed by anyone, shes the product of afton robotics coding and self learning ai. not a huge fan of the funtimes being possessed even tho evidence says otherwise but alas......just love my state of the art murder bots like that. i put a lot of emphasis on them hating their algorithm and just wanting to tackle their life on their own as a family

ballora works on instinct, is resentful and never forgets anything what someone has done to her. shes touchy, playful yet incredibly hostile when shes got a bad feeling about someone - its all a matter of first impressions. if she doesnt like you she doesnt like you

p.s. ngl i rly love the Contrast of ballora being the emotional and violent one while baby is cold and calculating 😩 the subversion..

realised im this 👌 close to finishing a fic i started a year ago and im back in a writing mood, so maybe .. maybe this time around..

wanted to post a small snippet i already put on twt a while ago

synopses: williams taking michael to a funeral. warning for emeto and alcohol/ism

Two weeks passed in the blink of an eye. Michael and his dad made themselves ready. The babysitter appeared on time and after his father explained the Do’s of the house (quicker to summarize than the Don’t’s) the two of them wrapped up, and made their way to the car.

Michael felt his heart sink. With every step they took closer to the vehicle he clung tighter to the warmth he had nurtured inside over the past few days. Maybe he knew this was going to pass after they got back from the arrangement. He wanted things to stay like this just a little longer. 

“How did she die?” Michael asked, cautiously.

His dad started up the car.

“Phillip said it was a stroke.” He removed the handbrake. “But I’d like to think she died in a drunk stupor. Hit her head and choked on her own vomit.”

The hint of a smile tugged at his lips as he stirred out of the driveway. Michael ignored it. “Oh,” was all he said before letting the rumbling of the engine be the only sound filling the silence.

The ride was a peaceful one. His Father appeared to be in a particularly good mood today which he didn’t quite understand nor wanted to sour. The radio was playing a chipper tune that William ever so subtly tapped his fingers along to.

Michael played with the nothingness in his hands.

To choke on your own vomit.

The imagery had plastered itself inside his mind. He saw his grandma in front of his eyes, struggling and gasping for air, though the throw up in her lungs prevented her from doing so.

Was that even possible?

He thought of her unconscious, her head just in the right angle for her nose to be dipped deep in the puddle. Bubbles rising from the ooze, becoming fewer and fewer until they eventually ceased entirely.

Wouldn’t your body jolt awake before anything could happen?

The thought scared him. Then and there he decided to never touch a drop of liquor in his life. Why should he even? His Father hated alcohol and surely wouldn’t take it kindly to see him running around with a choking hazard. Maybe it ought to bring them a little closer.

Reluctant 👁👁...... I'm gay and wanna know more about her

Who is your reluctant follower? Are they really reluctant, or are they loyal? Will they back stab the villain, or will they become the next Elizabeth Afton? 

ouuu i dont wanna fully flesh her out yet, bc im still anticipating how shes actually gonna be like in the game.. but so far i see her as person who was never quite in control of her life, missed out on a lot of her childhood due to illness and now draws a lot of her personality from the things shes into

the rabbit hole (pun intended) of the missing children incident went so deep that she could fully engulf herself into the mystery and got a little bit too carried away with its dedicated internet fan base. she entertained the idea of ‘reawakening’ the essence of this serial killer, the group of friends she found on the internet being a bit too invested and too certain of how things could work out. it made her feel important, destined for something greater - and what harm could it do than their plan being a little insensitive. who believes in the supernatural anyways?

 little did she know how fast and violently shit was gonna hit the fan
