"Wanna leave this place?" Mingyu suddenly interjected, interrupting your conversation. The gentle touch of his hand landing on yours halted your words, your eyes locking onto his gaze. You took a moment to contemplate his proposal, your gaze momentarily flickering to your colleagues on the opposite side of the venue. Signaling him to wait, you quickly sent a text to your personal assistant before nodding and rising from the barstool.

Guiding your steps, Mingyu led you towards the exit. A signal to his manager, a halted taxi, and he gestured for you to get in first. An unusual sense of comfort and trust settled within you – a sense you rarely experienced with strangers, and certainly not this quickly. While your relationship had been progressing positively since last week, it wasn't typical for you to be so at ease and trusting with someone. Mingyu mentioned a location unfamiliar to you, leveraging your trust to lead you wherever he had in mind.

"Is it far?" you inquired as you settled into the cab, observing him. He nodded in response.

"I have my car with me," you noted nonchalantly, prompting a facepalm from Mingyu, who was stifling his laughter. Chuckling along with him, you wondered why you had opted for a cab when you had your own vehicle.

"It's fine. We were drinking anyway," Mingyu replied, attempting to rationalize your decision.

Silence settled between you two momentarily before he softly uttered, "You must be tired," while patting his shoulder, implying that you could lean on him for support. Shaking your head, you offered a smile, but he insisted, tapping his shoulder more firmly until you relented, leaning into the spot he indicated.

"Rest. I'll wake you when we arrive."

Unexpectedly, it was the depth of rest you experienced, and you were roused by a gentle tap on your arm. The motionless cab indicated that you had reached your destination. Blinking in confusion, you surveyed your surroundings, greeted by the sight of a beach, its entrance adorned with the words 'Blue's Sanpo.'

You and Mingyu had arrived in Sanpo, a location three hours away from where you had started. A mixture of confusion and amusement colored your expression, which elicited a shrug from Mingyu. Regardless of what you say, you will always get distracted by these boys. Jaebum and Mark tend to show up out of nowhere when you try your hardest to focus on your music...

“Y/N, I was hoping I would bump into you,” Mark says, smiling right at you.

Right now, your brain was telling you to get away and focus on the big day but for some reason, your feet weren't moving.

“M-mark, what’s up?” Why did you just stutter... Great not only is your body ignoring your command, but now you can’t even speak to the boy.

“I don’t know if you’re busy, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted to get lunch with me... Just me,” Mark wanted to go eat with you? How on earth can you say no to that?

Even though you knew you should reject his kind gesture you just spoke without really thinking about your answer.

“Sure,” as soon as you said that you realized what you said, and you tried your hardest to smile instead of showing your shocked face.

“Perfect... I just need to return this to Yugyeom but if you’d like you can meet me in the front,” Mark suggests, and instead of saying anything you nodded your head and continued to smile.

Okay clearly speaking wasn’t helping you out... Instead, it was making things more complicated for you.

“Great, I’ll see you soon,” Mark smiles and takes off.

Instead of even moving you stood there frozen trying to figure out what your plan was... Just a second ago you were talking about devoting all your attention to your career and not on boys. Crazy how your mindset was so quick to change...

Okay... Look at the situation this way. Mark and you were probably just going to eat and then from there split off in your directions.

“Jackson did what?” You couldn't help but laugh as Mark was trying to explain how Jackson ended up kissing Jaebum on the lips.

“It was by accident though... Just know that in interviews they will make you do unexpected things like where you have to pass papers around to other members by only using your lips...” You’ve always seen other idols do that and to be honest you always wanted to try it but at the same time no...

“Have you had an incident where you accidentally kissed one of your members?” You asked Mark as you reached in for your drink. He silently thought to himself and then looked at you.

“Okay maybe once or twice... But the whole purpose of the game is to prevent the paper from falling... The paper that these people write is horrible material and always ends up falling at the end,” you smiled, and then a question popped into your head.

“So, Mark tells me, who’s a better kisser?” You asked Mark teasing him and he laughed.

“It’s not like that,” the two of you suddenly began to laugh.

“Even if I did accidentally kiss one of the boys, I didn’t enjoy any of them,” Mark defended himself and you just smiled.

“Sure...”

Sitting in front of Mark and having lunch with him wasn’t bad. The two of you were just spending time with one another and laughing, you know what friends do.

“Hey Y/N... I know this is random, but I have a question,” Mark says, and before you could answer you grabbed a napkin and wiped your mouth before replying.

“What’s up?” You asked as soon as you finished chewing.

“I know I probably shouldn't ask a question like this, but I can’t help but be curious...” At first, you were confused. What kind of question was Mark planning to ask you but then you had an idea... It’s probably going to involve what happened back at the studio when you were being put on the spot in front of everyone.

“Ask away,” you had an idea of what this question was going to be, and even though you weren’t ready to answer you had to face it eventually.

“Do Jaebum and you possibly have a secret relationship?” Mark asks, looking directly at you.

Well, that was straightforward... There is nothing to hide because Jaebum and you aren’t even dating or anything. When you told the boys back at the studio that you don’t have a relationship with Jaebum or Mark you were serious about it.

The answer would be beyond different if the boys were to ask what your feelings towards them but since they didn’t you are fine.

“No Jaebum and I are just friends,” you said as you looked into Mark’s eyes, so he knew you were telling the truth.

“That’s good to hear,” you were about to ask him why but then suddenly a memory replayed in your head...

For a second you almost forgot that Mark confessed he liked you... You looked down at your plate of food and tried your hardest to contain your smile.

Eventually, silence appeared and the two of you were now sitting there eating not saying a single word to one another...

The both of you stopped talking and just smiled.

Things were starting to become complicated... After talking to Sana and hearing her advice you looked at Mark and then back at your food. You came to JYP to live your dreams, not look for boys...

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You remember reading an article where DAY6 had 6 members in the beginning, but someone was kicked out after JYP found out he had a girlfriend.

If you continue to allow your feelings to get in the way you will get kicked out of the company before you can live your dreams.

“What do your plans consist of tomorrow?” Marks asks and you suddenly begin to move your food around not wanting to eat.

“Um well, tomorrow we will have our debut showcase. Then we have photoshoots and interviews so tomorrow will be a very busy day.” In the past couple of days, you have had a chance to spend time with the boys which led you to catch feelings for them... But after today you were going to be busy.

Maybe being busy was going to be a good thing. You weren’t going to have the urge to want to spend time with Jaebum and Mark... Maybe you’ll even get over this crush of yours.

“So will I not be able to see you?” Mark suddenly asks and at that moment the both of you make eye contact.

“I’m not sure....”

Comments like this made it hard to forget why you liked him.

“Well... I enjoyed this lunch, but I think it’s time for me to head back and practice until my feet fall off,” you said dramatically, and Mark smiled.

“Don’t overwork yourself, you do have a busy day head,”

You got up from your seat, grabbed your tray, and left while you could...

Comments like this make it hard for you to just “forget” you have a crush on Mark. He was sweet and considerate.

But sometimes you must sacrifice something for something else... When you look at things it's either you choose your dreams or some boy...

Dance practice was going well; however, you would be lying if you were to say you were distracted even if it was the slightest. What was worse about all of this was that you couldn’t talk to your members about it.

You were trying everything you could to ignore your thinking about Mark and focus on what was important... Tomorrow and your busy schedule.

“Okay everyone let’s take 5,” your leader says as she tries to catch her breath.

You all agreed. You walked over to a wall and instantly sat down.

“Y/N!” You looked over and noticed your bandmate Daeun sitting beside you.

“You know although we live together and practice, I feel like I haven’t spoken to you in forever,” it was true but so much has been going on. . .

“I know. But I mean with this debut coming up we’ve all been tired and busy,” you said, and she nodded her head.

She grabs her water bottle and looks at you.

“I know it’s none of my business but lately I noticed you’ve been looking pretty distracted, is everything alright?” You looked at her and began to contemplate with yourself.

Should you open up to Daeun about your situation or keep it to yourself?

You didn’t mean to keep secrets to any of your bandmates, but to be fair you weren’t close to them. Also, this included something that could involve a scandal if you don’t play your cards right and this can affect everyone.

You wouldn’t know how Daeun would feel if you told her about both Mark and Jaebum and how you may like them. . .

“I have been distracted, but it’s nothing concerning. . . Just worried about failing and disappointing everyone around me,” you decided to keep it vague and simple with your explanation.

“Well, girl you have nothing to worry about. Honestly, one thing I always tell myself and I will share with you is that there is no need to stress about the small things. Life has a way of figuring things out, everything happens for a reason.” Daeun says and you nod your head.

“But what if. . .You know something you want to do can affect others around you . . .”

After blurting that out, Daeun looked slightly concerned but instead of asking me what was up, she shrugged.

“Well, only you know what’s best for you. Sometimes you must be selfish and take the risk to make yourself happy before others.” You were surprised to hear advice like this from Daeun, but she was right.

Min-Seo suddenly called everyone back up and we continued to practice. . . After speaking to Daeun, you felt a little less distracted. . .

Everything happens for a reason, right?

You weren’t expecting any of this to take place. You were stuck in a weird position.

When you auditioned to become an idol and even got ACCEPTED you were so happy words could not describe the feeling you felt. You felt speechless, you felt like this was either a mistake or they were probably confusing you with someone else or you felt like you were dreaming...

You remember before your auditions you slept so little to make sure that your routine for your audition went well.

Now here you are about to debut but now you are distracting yourself.

Instead, you are here suddenly getting swayed by boys in this company.

It wouldn’t be much of an issue if JYP didn’t have the dating ban... But if you want to continue being an idol you have to literally push off your feelings and maybe even stop talking to them.

You have worked way too hard to get where you are now. On top of that, you began to recall all the stressful moments you had to endure while training. The harsh criticism you would receive, the whiplash attitude your coaches would give, and the overwhelming feeling you had to deal with...

Honestly, training was probably one of the hardest times you have ever experienced. Back in the dorm, you remember calling your mom and breaking down. You remember the number of times you considered quitting and going to a new root, but you didn’t allow yourself to quit.

Instead, you put on your big girl pants and knew you were going to debut sooner or later.

You worked too hard to suddenly throw all of this away.

Usually, dilemmas like this were a no-brainer but as you began to think.... What if you never feel this way with anyone else you ever meet?

You knew that this was probably just an excuse to avoid letting go of the person you were starting to like...

Were you really going to throw away something you worked so hard for over a guy?

Thinking of Mark was not helping... And weirdly enough you caught yourself even thinking about Jaebum.

You got back on your feet and shook your head.

Now it’s time to focus on what’s important.

After rehearsing the rest of the members were ready to call it a night to head back to the dorm and relax before the big day. However, due to all the distractions you have been experiencing, you decided to stay back to rehearse for an hour or two to make sure you got everything set for tomorrow.

After practicing the main track dance, you felt yourself out of breath. You sat on the floor and looked at yourself in the mirror.

“You got this!” you told yourself trying to tell yourself words of encouragement.

You can’t keep distracting yourself with the thought of these beautiful men. You worked way too hard to be where you are now... How are you going to let that escape through your fingers with just one minor mistake?

You got up and you heard your phone make a noise.

You walked over to your phone and picked it up.

To be honest you were expecting it to be one of your members telling you to head home and rest up for the big day but no...

The person who was texting you at 11 pm was Jaebum.

I heard you were still in the company, so I decided to come by and take you home :)

This text brought mixed feelings. One side of you was happy to receive a text from one of the boys themselves because, to be honest, you enjoyed having a conversation with them. HOWEVER, this is the type of distraction you were trying to avoid.

You brushed your fingers through your hair removing the hair from your face and took a deep breath.

Okay. . . What if you agree for Jaebum to walk you back to the dorm for one last time? That way once you debut you can forget about your friendship with the boys and look at the bigger picture. YEAH!

You texted Jaebum agreeing to his gesture and then put our phone to the side.

Let’s just practice one more time before you call it quits.

As you were dancing the last chorus you suddenly noticed a shadow creeping up by the dance studio door. You were going to stop to look back, but you couldn’t afford distraction. You assumed it was Jaebum so instead of looking back you continued to dance and lip sync not trying to miss a beat.

As you were on the floor doing a dance move, you noticed Jaebum walking in and then looked away looking at yourself in the mirror instead.

FOCUS.

Look at the bigger picture.

You continued to perform as if you were standing on stage in front of a big crowd, but you were tempted to look over and look at Jaebum.

Fortunately, the song was coming to an end.

As you were finishing the last set of dance moves, you posed as the music came to an end and you could hear Jaebum cheering.

You looked over and smiled.

You wanted to say something, but you needed to catch your breath.

Jaebum noticed how tired you were after that last dance, and he noticed your water bottle close by the dance studio window. He grabbed the water bottle, walked over to you and you looked at him.

“Thank you,” you grabbed onto the water bottle and then took a sip before you continued to talk to Jaebum.

After taking a sip, you looked at him.

“What brings you to the studio, shouldn’t you be home?” You asked him and he shrugged.

“We finished early with recordings, and I was told that you were still in the dance studio so I came to make an appearance.” you couldn’t lie you felt your heart warm up a little at the thought of Jaebum staying here to see you.

No.... You don’t like him. . . You think.

As you walked over to your bag you said “You didn’t have to stay, you could have gone home and rested. I’m sure you had a busy day,”

Jaebum shrugged and smiled.

“Waiting for you was no problem. . . I was hoping I had a chance to see you today,” as those words came out of Jaebum's mouth you looked over at him and couldn’t help but smile.

Comments like this are not helping whatsoever.

Sometimes you get curious and wonder if Jaebum was interested in you as a woman but then again maybe it’s better if you don’t know the answer to that.

Your brain and your feelings are in a complete battle. What the hell are you supposed to do?

You realized you were so lost in your thoughts you haven’t responded to Jaebum.

“Ah so you just wanted me to bug you more, well your wish is my command,” you teased Jaebum, and he laughed.

“I know what you mean, I think it’s normal for anyone to have that kind of thought. But in the end, you always think and look at the bigger picture. What do you want?”Jaebum asks you and you look at him. 

“I really want to make sure tomorrow is a complete success. I didn’t go through blood sweat and tears getting criticized left and right just not to debut at the end. You know?”After getting advice from different people, you suddenly decided to make a decision. 

It was now time to put your foot down. Although the past couple of days you have enjoyed the presence of both Jaebum and Mark, you knew it had to come to an end. 

Well, you didn’t have to cut them off completely, but boundaries had to be made and you knew that you had to avoid ever letting things get deeper for example your feelings for each of them.

You opened your eyes, and you looked up at the ceiling.

For some reason, it felt like you didn’t sleep at all. The moment you got home you had a hard time falling asleep. You were so nervous yet excited about your showcase today. . .

You could see how worried she appeared to be. You couldn’t blame her; the feeling was mutual. Although to be fair you all should be confident for today’s showcase, especially with the amount of practice you guys had.

Day’s like today you couldn’t afford any kind of distraction. You walked over to your mirror and took one look at yourself. Right about now it was time for a pep talk.

Today is the big day. After all the rejections, all the struggles, and all of the hard work you put in, today was the day you were going to finally show what you have been working hard on. Today was the day you could finally show your mom that all those tears you shed during the process were worth it at the end of the day.

However, it seemed like in the back of your head you had a slight fear appearing making you think about the what if. What if your debut isn’t as successful as you were hoping? What if people don’t find interest in your group? What if this love triangle you seem to be in becomes far harder than it has been?

You could feel your mind filled with so many different thoughts, but you were trying your hardest to keep yourself together. This is fear talking.

Today was a big day for your group and you and you weren’t going to let anyone take that away from you.

As you were in the dressing room getting your makeup done, you were thinking about the lyrics to your own song and the choreography over and over. Today was the day you couldn’t afford any kind of mistake.

The makeup artist instructs you to close your eyes and begins to apply eyeshadow. Suddenly you hear the door open and the staff in your room saying hello to whoever came through the doors. Without thinking twice, you opened your eyes and there you see Mark walking in with a basket in his hand.

Seeing Mark gave you mixed feelings. One side of you was happy to see the fact that Mark cleared his busy schedule just to come down here and wish you luck. . . Like, let’s be honest what kind of guy does that? And then the other side of you isn’t very happy to see Mark just because you knew he could be a big distraction... Can you see the dilemma?

“Mark?” Your makeup artist pulled away from doing your makeup and smiled.

“I’ll give you a few minutes to talk to your friend,”

You thanked your makeup artist and then continued to look at Mark.

“Surprise,” he says as he approaches you with the basket in his hand.

“Surprise is right. . . What brings you down here?” You asked him and just as Mark was about to speak up, he was cut off when someone else walked through the door.

Another person you weren’t expecting to see was right there in front of you. Of course... Jaebum also made an appearance.

when the three of you arrive back to freshen up and get ready for her big day, it’s jorja who gives you a needed hug which causes you to break out in a crying fit.

“how do i look?” you ask jorja “like fire because you’re hot as hell!” she replies which has you both cringing at laughing at her dad joke.

yerin looks beautiful in her white princess wedding dress. her hair is pinned up, her makeup is beautiful, and she looks drop dead gorgeous. you’re excited for your best friend’s big day and within the next few hours, you all arrive to the venue where the wedding will take place.

you all walk inside while yerin goes to a secluded place to hide before yugyeom could see her. jungkook immediately spots you, goes up to you and hugs you like its been years since he’s last seen you.

“jungkook, stop. your shoulder” you warn him but he doesn’t care. he caresses your cheek where the blemish from chaeyoung’s knife is still evident on your face yet you’re still beautiful. you’re a bridesmaid now but in a few weeks, you’ll be the bride.

When he sees your face, he feels like he is in heaven because he’s missed you a lot-and the way you left so abruptly it caught him offguard, but he knows that it was because of him, it was his fault.

So he doesn’t waste a moment to just hug you ever so tightly, and he almost lifts you up, but it hurts his shoulder so he hisses in pain, because it puts a little bit of pressure and onto his injured shoulder.

And you’re so lovely as you try to stop him from doing that because you care for him so much don’t you? It warms his heart a lot, and he blushes.

Even after several years together, Yugyeom loved using his height to be affectionate around you, very little made him smile more than when he could pull you tightly into his chest with his arms around your frame.

The boys adored you and they loved seeing how happy you made Yugyeom too. He appreciated you a lot when you teased back at the boys whenever they teased you, leaving them quiet most of the time, stopping from joking with Yugyeom as they feared your sharp tongue coming back at them more harshly.

“Seol is busy playing so we all should be good.” His mother rolls her eyes once again. “party with your friends all you want- my grandchild will be with me until you decide to leave.” before joining his father. She does want to see her son happy and if you’re his happiness, she will give you one chance, but you’re still not near perfect as his ex fiancé.

Jungkook can also feel their glares in his direction, but he doesn’t owe them anything.

But all of them are really happy to be becoming uncles and aunties. Every single one of the ladies congratulate you on your pregnancy and let’s just say they’re really shocked to know that you’re engaged too.

“Dude you should be called the knock up king.” Mingyu jokes, a glass of whiskey in his hands. Eunwoo laughs out loud- jungkook rolls his eyes.

“not my fault that I’m so good in bed.” He defends himself.

“I think it’s about time that we should start trying for a child too-I’ll talk to jihyo… and maybe even start trying tonight.” Mingyu shares.

Jungkook chugs down his champagne, “Chris I think it’s about time that you and Zoey also get married.”

“what do you mean? You’re also not married yet?” Eunwoo keeps quiet, his friends are so confused by jungkooks smile.

“Yeah I proposed to yn.”

A/N: For Jay B’s birthday. Things might get a bit emotional, but its still fluffy I promise :)

You felt incredibly guilty for lying to your boyfriend, but it just seemed easier than telling him the truth.

He'd invited you to what he was calling a 'GOT7 meeting' but was actually dinner with him, Jinyoung, Youngjae and Yugyeom. While you had met Jinyoung before, the thought of being out in a public place with a lot going on around you and meeting new people had you on edge.

After telling Jay B you were busy, you put on some low music to focus your mind on and started carrying out some mundane chores to keep your body busy.

When you heard a knock at the door you automatically went to answer it. Pulling it open you came face to face with Jay B.

"What are you doing here?" you asked, surprised that he wasn't with his friends.

"What are you doing here?" he put the question back to you. His voice was calmer than you expected, not accusing but almost... understanding.

"I'm sorry," you said in a small voice.

"Why?"

"I lied," you pointed out. "So I'm sorry, but I didn't know what else to say and I just can't today. I can't."

Finally, Jay B crossed the threshold, closing your door then pulling you into his embrace.

"It's fine, I knew you weren't telling the whole truth," he told you. "I could tell there was something going on with you. Why do you think I'm here?"

"But now I've ruined your day," you muttered as you clung onto him.

"I wouldn't have enjoyed myself anyway. I would have been too worried about you. Now, why don't we go and get comfortable, and you can tell me what's up?" he asked as he pulled away.

"I don't know if I can put it into words," you told him, letting yourself be led to your sofa.

"Can you try? Anything you can tell me, how you feel, how I can help?"

"I don't think you can help. I just need you to understand that sometimes socialising or being out in public, or somewhere that's too loud or busy, can be really overwhelming for me," you explained as best you could. "Not always. Had this dinner happened on a different day it might have been fine, but today, I can't cope."

"That's fine," Jay B assured you. "You don't have to lie, you can just tell me it's too much for you that day."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course," he replied, slightly incredulous that you'd ask that. "I don't want you to be uncomfortable, or have to feel bad about lying to me."

"Thank you," you said as you hugged him again. "I'm so lucky to have such an understanding boyfriend."

"I'd be the worst boyfriend if I wasn't understanding of your mental health or forced you into situations which could trigger you."

You simply squeezed him a little tighter to show him your appreciation.

"Is it ok that I'm here?" he then asked. "If you don't have the energy I'll leave, I don't mind."

"Just you is fine," you smiled. "But I would really like if we could just sit in silence and watch a film."

"Of course," he said wrapping an arm around you and placing a quick kiss on your temple.

“I was going to tell you! someone just beat me to it, who told you anyways?”

“I thought Jaehyun knew? and he didn’t tell me?!”

You made a mental note to ask the aforementioned guy about this later, for now you focus on Johnny who was trying his best in making the perfect breakfast. He insisted to come over at yours and ask for cooking lessons, “for when I’m married” he said. 

“You must really love her if you’re willing to go through this” you mumbled, a small smile playing on your lips

“Yea well I did ask her to marry me”

“Care to share her name? You never even introduced her”

“Jisoo, Kim Jisoo”

“Oh wait, I think I know her” trying to recall where you heard the name before but Johnny beat you to it, “She and Yugyeom work in the same department at the hospital”

“She’s in pediatrics too, that’s nice”

“Mhm” he proceeded to tell you more about his fiancé. While doing so, you can’t help but notice the lovestruck look on Johnny’s face.

“Hey John, you know I’m very happy for you, for the both of you” you tell him earnestly

“Thank you, and I am very happy. I never thought I’d settle down this fast but when I met her I knew there isn’t any other girl out there I’d rather spend my life with”

“You know Jaehyun was going to propose to you, after graduation” that made you turn quiet in your seat. A story you never heard before. 

“He never told you, didn’t he?” Johnny asked, based on your expression he already knew the answer. Mentally cursing himself for bringing it up. 

“No, I kind disappeared before graduation” you chuckled, trying to mask the curiosity and hurt in your voice as best as you could but Johnny knew better. 

“We all knew you were different. Jae is the type of guy who focuses on one thing and one thing only. After graduation, he was to inherit his family’s company. That was the plan. But then you came and we saw this Jaehyun we rarely get to see, the carefree, smiling, happy Jaehyun. Every time he was with you, we saw how he visible loosened up. Like his worries wash away when you’re within radius. Then one day we were just having beer at my place when he suddenly said ‘I’m gonna marry her. Y/N”

You don’t know if you want to cry or call Jaehyun to ask him if it was true. 

“I thought he was crazy for saying that, we were so young. Hell, we haven’t even finished college yet. But the look on his face when he said it, I’ve never seen a man more sure of anything”

You didn’t say much after that. Johnny being the good friend he was, did his best to make you feel better and lift up your dampened mood. Promising to visit again but next time with his fiancé. 

Your emotions and thoughts were all over the place, so you decided to take a walk around town. Not really minding where your feet takes you. 

Just thinking about what would’ve happened if you didn’t leave Jaehyun’s side, what would’ve happened if you didn’t take the money and stayed with him. 

You were broken out of your thoughts when you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket,

“Hey, I don’t have any more meetings. Want to grab dinner?” Jaehyun asks from the other side of the line

“Y/N? Are you there?” he asked again when you didn’t answer

“Uh, yea sorry”

“Did something happen? Are you okay?” he asked, the worry already evident in his voice. Shaking your head as an answer before realizing he can’t see you, “I’m okay”

This time he was the one who didn’t speak for a few seconds

“Where are you?”

“At the park near my place why?”

“Wait there, I’m coming”

True to his words, about 15 minutes later you see Jaehyun emerging from the other side of the park. You wanted to ask how many red lights he ran over to get here this fast. 

“That was fast” you chuckled at him when he got closer to you, instead of replying to you he just pilled on your arm gently until you were standing infrom of him

Giving you a look over, as if checking if you were really okay. 

“Jae, I’m fine really”

“You don’t sound fine, you know you can tell me whatever it is that’s bothering you” he told you, eyes boring into yours. Sighing once, you finally let yourself collapse against him. Your body flush against his, arms around his broad frame as you bury your face on his chest. Hearing his heart drumming against your cheek. 

You were tired of fighting this feeling. Tired of holding yourself back against him. He was and still is the man you loved and left all those year ago. There was no denying that your feelings for him are still there, not that they ever left. 

This time though, you threw all fears aside and just let your self melt into him. 

“Hey, you okay?” Jaehyun asks with the most gentle voice. His hand soothing your back while the other one secured around your smaller frame.

You don’t deserve him. Here he was, rushing to your side just because he sensed you weren’t feeling okay. Ready to drop everything for you if you ask him to. 

He deserve that same kind of dedication and love. 

And you’ll be damned if you let this chance pass again, there was no way you were ever going to let him down like you did before. 

Tightening your arms around him, you mumble “Better, now that you’re here”

Those words, simple as they were, were everything to Jaehyun. Hearing you basically say you’re now okay because he’s hear put his mind at ease. His heart swells with love and pride knowing that he’s the one who can make your day better. 

“I’m here”

That made you smile, lifting your head to look at him

“How many red lights did you run over?” you asked, this made Jaehyun burst out into laughter

“For you? I’d accept all the ticket they have, I can pay it off anyways”

“Dumbass, don’t ever do that. Always drive safely, okay? You need to come home in one peace” you told him seriously, flattening your hands on his chest.

“Come home to you?” Jaehyun teased

“Where else? is there any other place or person you’d rather come home to? Cause if there is, it’s better to tell now” you scowled at him, pushing yourself away from him but of course he won’t let you.  

“Shush, let me have this moment. How many more chances will I get with you saying you need me, let me have this baby” he mumbled against your hair, his statement making you frown. 

Winding your arms around him to hold him closer, you rest your chin on his shoulder so you can whisper in his ear

“I’m not going anywhere, Jae. Not anymore, not again not ever” you feel a kiss against your temple and his arms giving you one tight squeeze before pushing you away from him but still kept you caged in his arms. 

“No takebacks this time”

You shook your head, smiling goofily at him. Meanwhile the man opposite you can feel his heart beat hard against his chest. Never in the five years you were gone did he ever feel this way. It didn’t matter how many beds he ended his nights in or how many girls he have drunkenly kissed in hopes of forgetting yours, you were and always will be it for him. 

“No one needs that big of a bed”

“We might” you choose to ignore Jaehyun and continued on your search for some new chairs to put in your shop. 

It was the weekend so you decided to make a quick trip to the furniture store. You’re not quite sure yet if it was a mistake to tag Jaehyun along or not. 

“Your confidence never fail to amaze me, like you’re that sure we’re getting married?” you threw back at him, looking at a few other items at the store

When you didn’t hear an answer from him, you turned to look behind you only to find Jaehyun glaring at you. You laughed at his reaction, walking back to where he was and looping your arms around his. 

“You’re too easy to annoy” you said, standing on your tiptoe to rub your nose cutely against his cheek

“Don’t make me propose right here right now” he grumbled

“You have a ring?” you challengingly asked him, the man just raised a brow at you as if asking ‘are you challenging me?’

“And if I do?” he asked, throwing the question back at you

“Well then this will make for quite a memorable trip to Ikea then” 

Jaehyun just shook his head at your answer, puling on your arm so he intertwine his hand with yours. Kissing the back of your hand, “I’ll think about it”

You don’t say much after that, just enjoying the time you were spending together. Even though it was such a domestic activity, some might even think boring, you certainly didn’t feel that way. The two of you were having fun arguing over which furniture you’ll put in your future home or which paint you’ll use even the number of pillows you’ll have on the bed. 

Planning a life, a future with him felt right. Like that’s how it should've always been. You haven’t said it directly but Jaehyun is right to feel confident that you’ll marry him. Because you wouldn’t if it isn’t with him.

You were back in your apartment, preparing dinner for the two of you. Jaehyun was quietly humming to himself while you were setting the table. 

You stopped and just admired the man standing in your kitchen, a smile immediately forming on your lips. 

“Hey Jae” you called, making him turn to you

“Yes, love?”

You raise a brow at him but still smiling at his cheesiness, “I have something to ask you”

“If it’s my hand in marriage, I’m sorry baby I’d have to say no. I kinda want to be the one to ask you that”

“What? no” you lightly hit him on the back, “I’m being serious”

“Oh, should I be scared?” he asked, “No, I just want to ask something”

“Ask away”

“When we do get married one day, what if your mother says no. She’ll never accept me as your wife and as a part of your family that much we already know. And this time I don’t want to runaway like a coward, so I’m asking you what do I do then?”

He just looked at you as if he was still processing what you just said.

“Just say the words, I’ll do it. I don’t really mind if she hates me, I just... I don’t want to tear you away from your family. I don’t want you to choose between me and them, I don’t want to put you in that kind of position” you continued, “Tell me, I’ll do it” shooting him a small smile, a sign of assurance that you’re not going anywhere and choosing to stay by his side this time. 

“Marry me”

Not the answer you expected. 

“You’ve always been the one for me, and that haven’t changed since the first time I realized I love you” 

“And your family?” 

“I love them too, but you’re right. I don’t have to choose between them or you because if they love me as much as you do then they wouldn’t make me do that. You didn’t, even if it hurt the both of us I do understand now why you did what you did. You left for me. I’m just glad you came to me.”

“I chose us. I chose you. I choose you.” with each word he spoke, he took a step closer to you until you were face to face

“Is this the part where you ask me to marry you for real?” you suddenly asked, Jaehyun chuckled at your question before engulfing you in a hug “I don’t have the ring with me”

“Fuck the ring, you’ll give it to me anyways” 

Laughing at your reply, he took a step back. Holding your face in his hands, smiling down at you warmly and lovingly

“I know, it has always been your anyways”

Then his lips was on yours, just like before it felt like a thousand sparks running through your veins. Every kiss you shared with him was just as thrilling as the first. 

Just time time you feel happier, lighter, no worries about your tomorrow with him because you know this won’t be the last.
