Not coming home
During my most recent run with my father he confessed something to me. A little bit of context for you. my father and I were inseparable from the time I turned twelve till now. we were always running, riding, climbing, and generally exploring and adventuring. every Night I text or call my parents to this day and simply say good night and that I love them. but when the day came for me to move out we cried and hugged and I drove off. That night he locked the door and thought to himself
“My boys not coming home” those were his exact words.
Its always a bit sobering to hear these things. it makes you realize just how big of waves you make. at the time I didn’t think about it. but now I know....

while at heart a die hard country bumpkin I do confess that the city lights have an alluring aura to them.

Talisman
People underestimate the placebo effect. the only reason I can walk is because of my talismans. a necklace from Morocco, a gift from my brother. a hat from my aunt whom I love dearly. a hand crafted choker from my father that I wear at all times.
its the little things that you make big. those will carry you throughout your trials

In all the chaos and turmoil that make up the river of life just remember. there is nothing that some mountain therapy can't fix. if your ever drowning, step back watch the sunrise, have a good cry, and go run like your life depends on it. because at some point it may come to that.

Freedom
I have to laugh at people who talk about Freedom. The common misconception is that freedom means you can do anything you want. This is wrong. Freedom in its most pure form Is being able to want Whatever you do.
A small Difference But Significant.
