hate to say it, but if that argentinian zoo isn't going to relocate that poor polar bear after 20 years of him having to live in weather over 100 degrees with nothing but a two foot pool of warm water, someone should just mercy kill the poor thing. he's miserable. he's literally lost his mind from spending decades boiling in the sun and never seeing any other polar bears since his companion died. all he does is lay around all day moaning and crying and panting because he's so hot and he's in so much physical pain. much like whales in captivity, he just sways back and forth for hours on end. they claim they can't relocate him because he's old and he might not survive the trip to canada, yet he's at a bigger risk physically if they leave him in the sweltering sun for people to gawk at. they've rejected a petition of more than 1,000,000 signatures. he's never going to see the cold again. he'll never see one of his own kind again. all that's left for him is a few more years of misery. someone needs to end that. there's no need for him to suffer and be in pain and so depressed every second of his life until he dies. the united states should be ashamed. he may be in argentina but he was born in the united states in 1985 and we GAVE him to them in 1993. humans in general should be ashamed. we ruin everything. we ruin quite literally everything. we are the most destructive, heinous, wicked species to have ever roamed this earth.

Arturo is a 29-year-old male polar bear currently living in Argentina’s Mendoza Zoo. He is suffering in 40C (104F) heat in an enclosure that has just 20 inches of water for him to swim in and has as a consequence been displaying worrying behavior. Please sign this petition or at least spread the word in order to have Arturo transferred to a zoo in Canada which has better facilities for an animal that is used to polar conditions.

200,000 sign petition to move ‘depressed’ polar bear to Canada

More than 200,000 people have signed an online petition calling for a polar bear living in ‘deplorable’ conditions in an Argentinian zoo to be moved.

Arturo is currently being kept in a cramped, concrete enclosure at Argentina’s Mendoza Zoo, where temperatures can climb to 104F (40C), with just a 20-inch-deep pool for him to keep cool.
