lapidot shippers when learning peridot is confirmed asexual and aromantic: i do not see it
#i mean its not problematic imo but i dont like it#like having different character headcanons#you can imagine whatever you want#but in this particular case i think peri being aroace is so much better#not only her canon instances of refusing love are epic but the 'sapphire and ruby are.. you know' *fucking gesture* is so much funnier#it also makes her character arc stronger bc it shows that she discovered her own purpouse#separate from steven and the gems drafting her and singing to her about 'peace and love' and not really giving her a choice sometimes#like it shows that things landed and she interpreted the message her own way. i guess#and also yeah representation. how many ace characters can you name??#from cartoons i can only name todd (bojack) and peridot off the top of my head
