"My Living Nightmare with an Online Bully: Episode 14"

When August rolled in, I was hoping for some relief and good news. Plus, this was my birthday month, and I was still planning to celebrate it with friends at my local neighborhood pub. But before that, I kicked off the first weekend in August inviting my dear friend and fellow House of the Dragon fan, Christine, to watch the final episode of season 2. Christine also happens to be a fellow professor at the college, teaching in the music department. (This is a different Christine from Union rep Christine.)
I prepared a nice entree of Shrimp ÉtouffĂ©e, and she contributed a salad and plenty of wine to share. She had just returned from a visit overseas, so after watching the final episode, we sat out on my balcony catching up and sipping wine. She didn’t know all the details about “The Bully” until after she returned. During her time abroad, I had sent an email updating my entire community of friends and family and even some who follow my blog. I wanted to update everyone on what had been happening and why I would be taking a break from posting anything new. (In fact, as I originally draft this, it’s now November, and I haven’t published anything new since the tattoo piece, over 5 months ago.) 
After Christine and I hung out and she went home, I received a new Instagram (IG) follower request from a “Check your DM (fuckyou_elahi123)” 
Omg, what the hell now?
Because my IG was now in private mode, anyone wanting to follow me had to “request.” But this person didn’t really want to follow me. They just wanted my attention to check my DMs sooner than later because once it was evident I read it, they immediately deleted both the message and the follow request. Oh, and FYI, I have since learned that I can keep anyone messaging me who doesn't follow me, even message requests from non-followers.
But what did the message have to say? 
Here’s the cryptic message from a screenshot I took:

My first thought: It’s “The Bully.” 
Well, honestly, I first thought: what the hell are triple standards?? Then, I did wonder if it was “The Bully”—who attacked me on my blog, who emailed the school to complain about me, and who, I believe, got Story Mill’s social media posts taken down. 
Perhaps the school or the district had reprimanded him, and he was retaliating against me. He also called me “a piece of work,” the same phrase he used in one of his comments to me on my blog. I circled it in red for when I had to share it to the school and the police to highlight that part for them... doing my own bit of detective work to help them see it could be the same person. After all, it was a major clue to why I thought it was “The Bully.” But overall, some of the things he called me and said to me didn’t quite add up. In the blog comments, he never used profanity like “fuck," and he never used insults on a childish level like “stupid.” I mean, it was a logical assumption to make that it was him based on what had transpired, but “The Bully” also had a bit of intellect, at least compared to this IG message and its “triple standards” boast. I mean, even "The Bully" would be laughing and making fun of "triple standards."
But it didn’t take me long to remember that just a few short weeks before this night, I received that nasty email from the student “Who Called Me a Cunt,” and I did report that to "Dean #2." Did "Dean #2" reach out to him? Was this a “New Bully” retaliating? Is this what he meant by he would “never forget this” when I didn’t add him to my class? 
When I first read this IG message, I wasn’t sure what I should do. Should I delete it? Should I block the user? I know it might be strange to question whether to block such a message. I’m sure that’s the first thing anyone else would have done. But at this point, I had been so scared about what to do because when I did do anything to keep “The Bully” at bay on my blog, he found other ways to reach me since it seemed I might have been provoking him with any move I made—or any move I didn’t make. At least that’s how it felt. After all, I blocked him from making comments on my blog by disabling the comment feature, but then he used my contact page to get to me. I didn’t reply to that, so he emailed my school to make a big complaint about me. He had managed to make me feel so helpless and insecure about what I could do to protect myself. 
Before deciding to block this IG user and before he (assuming it is a male) deleted the message, I took screen shot photos of it, so I could share it with the school and even the police. This was definitely “new information,” and I would need to inform the police about it. 
The following weekend, I was heading down to Anaheim for the D23 event at the convention center. D23 is the official Disney fan club of which I am member of, and every year, they have 1 or 2 major events, an expo or convention of all things Disney. It’s either held in Anaheim, where the mothership Disneyland is located, or like last year, in Orlando near Walt Disney World. This year it was back in Anaheim, and it would be my first D23 Expo to attend, so naturally, I was very excited. I had bought a Sunday badge for the event way back in March and booked my resort hotel stay as well in advance. But I will admit that my excitement was slightly tainted due to the drama in my personal life with “The Bully.”
In the days leading up to the Disney weekend getaway:
I called the police—twice—where I left voicemails about the new information with the IG message. I didn’t hear back from the police.
I also sent the IG screenshot photos to the dean of student services (aka “Dean #2"), whose auto "out of office” reply instructed me that he was on vacation and wouldn’t return until the following Monday.
Great. The date of this weekend getaway was August 10-11: over a month since "Dean #1" sent the information to ODEIA, and over two weeks since "Dean #2" sent it to ODEIA as well, and about two weeks since my police report was approved. Again, I found myself waiting. I was in an emotional limbo, with the constant need to always be looking over my shoulder. Someone, maybe “The Bully,” had harassed me with a nasty message on Instagram, and both the school and the police were MIA for now. Fuck...

"My Living Nightmare with an Online Bully: Episode 14"

When August rolled in, I was hoping for some relief and good news. Plus, this was my birthday month, and I was still planning to celebrate it with friends at my local neighborhood pub. But before that, I kicked off the first weekend in August inviting my dear friend and fellow House of the Dragon fan, Christine, to watch the final episode of season 2. Christine also happens to be a fellow professor at the college, teaching in the music department. (This is a different Christine from Union rep Christine.)
I prepared a nice entree of Shrimp ÉtouffĂ©e, and she contributed a salad and plenty of wine to share. She had just returned from a visit overseas, so after watching the final episode, we sat out on my balcony catching up and sipping wine. She didn’t know all the details about “The Bully” until after she returned. During her time abroad, I had sent an email updating my entire community of friends and family and even some who follow my blog. I wanted to update everyone on what had been happening and why I would be taking a break from posting anything new. (In fact, as I originally draft this, it’s now November, and I haven’t published anything new since the tattoo piece, over 5 months ago.) 
After Christine and I hung out and she went home, I received a new Instagram (IG) follower request from a “Check your DM (fuckyou_elahi123)” 
Omg, what the hell now?
Because my IG was now in private mode, anyone wanting to follow me had to “request.” But this person didn’t really want to follow me. They just wanted my attention to check my DMs sooner than later because once it was evident I read it, they immediately deleted both the message and the follow request. Oh, and FYI, I have since learned that I can keep anyone messaging me who doesn't follow me, even message requests from non-followers.
But what did the message have to say? 
Here’s the cryptic message from a screenshot I took:

My first thought: It’s “The Bully.” 
Well, honestly, I first thought: what the hell are triple standards?? Then, I did wonder if it was “The Bully”—who attacked me on my blog, who emailed the school to complain about me, and who, I believe, got Story Mill’s social media posts taken down. 
Perhaps the school or the district had reprimanded him, and he was retaliating against me. He also called me “a piece of work,” the same phrase he used in one of his comments to me on my blog. I circled it in red for when I had to share it to the school and the police to highlight that part for them... doing my own bit of detective work to help them see it could be the same person. After all, it was a major clue to why I thought it was “The Bully.” But overall, some of the things he called me and said to me didn’t quite add up. In the blog comments, he never used profanity like “fuck," and he never used insults on a childish level like “stupid.” I mean, it was a logical assumption to make that it was him based on what had transpired, but “The Bully” also had a bit of intellect, at least compared to this IG message and its “triple standards” boast. I mean, even "The Bully" would be laughing and making fun of "triple standards."
But it didn’t take me long to remember that just a few short weeks before this night, I received that nasty email from the student “Who Called Me a Cunt,” and I did report that to "Dean #2." Did "Dean #2" reach out to him? Was this a “New Bully” retaliating? Is this what he meant by he would “never forget this” when I didn’t add him to my class? 
When I first read this IG message, I wasn’t sure what I should do. Should I delete it? Should I block the user? I know it might be strange to question whether to block such a message. I’m sure that’s the first thing anyone else would have done. But at this point, I had been so scared about what to do because when I did do anything to keep “The Bully” at bay on my blog, he found other ways to reach me since it seemed I might have been provoking him with any move I made—or any move I didn’t make. At least that’s how it felt. After all, I blocked him from making comments on my blog by disabling the comment feature, but then he used my contact page to get to me. I didn’t reply to that, so he emailed my school to make a big complaint about me. He had managed to make me feel so helpless and insecure about what I could do to protect myself. 
Before deciding to block this IG user and before he (assuming it is a male) deleted the message, I took screen shot photos of it, so I could share it with the school and even the police. This was definitely “new information,” and I would need to inform the police about it. 
The following weekend, I was heading down to Anaheim for the D23 event at the convention center. D23 is the official Disney fan club of which I am member of, and every year, they have 1 or 2 major events, an expo or convention of all things Disney. It’s either held in Anaheim, where the mothership Disneyland is located, or like last year, in Orlando near Walt Disney World. This year it was back in Anaheim, and it would be my first D23 Expo to attend, so naturally, I was very excited. I had bought a Sunday badge for the event way back in March and booked my resort hotel stay as well in advance. But I will admit that my excitement was slightly tainted due to the drama in my personal life with “The Bully.”
In the days leading up to the Disney weekend getaway:
I called the police—twice—where I left voicemails about the new information with the IG message. I didn’t hear back from the police.
I also sent the IG screenshot photos to the dean of student services (aka “Dean #2"), whose auto "out of office” reply instructed me that he was on vacation and wouldn’t return until the following Monday.
Great. The date of this weekend getaway was August 10-11: over a month since "Dean #1" sent the information to ODEIA, and over two weeks since "Dean #2" sent it to ODEIA as well, and about two weeks since my police report was approved. Again, I found myself waiting. I was in an emotional limbo, with the constant need to always be looking over my shoulder. Someone, maybe “The Bully,” had harassed me with a nasty message on Instagram, and both the school and the police were MIA for now. Fuck...

Sunwatch Technician I maintain field technician schedules, assist technicians on the phone, and keep records of repairs made for each client.
Document Calls and Service Results: SunWatch Technician I document all incoming calls and record the technical issues addressed in each call. They maintain logs of resolutions, communicate with vendors about ongoing problems, and use a ticketing system to update information regarding the progress of each call.
