It seemed like all her friends had collectively come together and decided that all of them were suddenly too busy for her when she finally had some free time. Life was too cruel. What was she supposed to do other than wallow and watch all her period dramas? She had kept in touch with Nina through messages when her friend had been whisked away into a top secret training program. She had been suspicious when she heard the identity of the rest of the trainees who had been tapped on the shoulder to join the training extensive.
Her imagination would have to fill out what went on behind closed doors since she had never been asked to attend one. She had jokingly asked Nina if LGC had secretly started a central intelligence agency where the agents would be recruited from the trainee pool. She invited Nina out for tea to celebrate her release, hoping the two could catch up. Perhaps, she was crossing her fingers to hear good news from her friend, but she knew that sometimes the secret needed to be kept for longer and she couldn't ask considering she didn't want to upset Nina if she was off-base. "What should we order? Anything you want..." Her eyes twinkle with amusement, opening the menu and shifting closer to her friend to browse together. "Did I tell you that I'm getting cut off by the end of the month? I'm trying to enjoy my final moments..."
He found resolutions to be silly, but getting to know Nina at a more deeper level would be one if he was force to make them. She had been one of the few trainees that somehow could follow his train of thoughts, or at least be entertained by his tangents instead of dismissing him, or falling into awkward silence. Best for last, Noeul had wanted to joke during his introduction, but his second season had been fun and all his guests were people he adored. Besides, he could picture a staff member tugging on his ear painfully for saying something that could be misconstrued.
The theme for the final episode were girl group songs, which he thought suited Nina best out of all of his guests. Although, he would have enjoyed seeing Akio, Kwan, or Eli dance to Feel Good. He had been surprised when Nina hadn't been announced for the current season of Future Dreams. She had been one of the trainees he had been rooting for by the end of the debut bootcamp. He hoped that this episode would cheer her up, or at the very least serve as a distraction.
Clue: For the fourth song, the staff had isolated the audio of the whistle from the beginning of the song for the two trainees to guess the song and the artist.
The clue wasn't the most difficult one that had been presented on his show, but his hand rose up after Nina. While he waited for his friend to guess the song and artist, he swiveled on one foot in anticipation for her to answer it correctly.
my favorite thing about my batshit insane bipolar bpd combo wombo personality is that i post the most emotionally excruciating answer to your asks and i just lie in wait for the angry mob to arrive at my door, pitchforks at the ready to tear me limb from limb, whilst i calmly sip my bad bitch, evil girl mango cider giggling maniacally and wiggling my fingers together smiling sinisterly...i luv being the princess of pain
@lcveblossomed, mick riva asked to nina riva: "I know I'm not perfect, but I didn't deserve to be treated the way you treated me."
was he serious when he said that? does this help him sleep well at night? coming back now when they were all grown up? wasn't he a bit too late for being the number one perfect dad now? nina doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.
he was never there when they needed him. he never took care of them when they had nightmares, never included them in any of the interviews she listened to. yes, the interviews. she had listened to every interview this man could give. happy to share with her class that her father, who was famous, was on the radio, but what happened? nothing. he said nothing about them. nothing that could define that he had a family of four children waiting for him at home.
and he dares to blame them, her, and call her out on how she treated him even though he did admitted that he wasn't perfect?
" it's a joke, right? " she asked as she looked at him with a look filled with rage. " tell me it's a joke. even though, i want to laugh about this with you now i just… " she sighed as she watched her sisters and brothers play around them. " i mean, i understand that you might feel this way, but please know that my feelings and actions are not driven by a perception of perfection or imperfection on your part. what i feel comes from… it comes from my own experiences and the way i-i have been affected by the events. "
and a lot of that happened when he wasn't around. such as birthdays or christmas that never happened around him because he would rather spend it with costars than with his own family. " i mean, do we mean anything to you, dad? " she ask the question with venom on the last word as she crossed her arms. " you were my hero. but kids do grow up. now, i know. i know what it means. being unlovable. that's all thanks to you. "
He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he was feeling homesick several days after landing in Los Angeles. He was grateful for the opportunity to travel for the first time overseas. He was aware that not everyone was lucky enough to be able to explore new cities for weeks. He would have never had the chance in his twenties, or even thirties if he was being realistic. In a way, he felt guilty that his brother wasn’t with him to forge memories, but the two had diverged paths since their teenage years.
He knew the feeling was temporary, but it felt wrong to mask how he felt. He wondered if others felt similar to him, but was there a point in dwelling on it? Fortunately, he didn’t have the time to sit around and sulk. The workshops set up by the company staff had been so jam-packed with information, which had left him engrossed by it that he had filled out a journal that he had bought last month in Tokyo.
The workshop for the afternoon was one that he had been looking forward to attending since he peeked at their schedule. If he were to eventually debut in a group, he aspired to contribute to his group’s music. He knew how difficult it was for a set of lyrics to be approved by the producers, but he enjoyed the challenge despite most of his lyrics often ending up as drafts and never be shown to anyone.
“Do you ever feel like summer feels much shorter than the previous year?” Noeul lifts his head, corners of his lips lifting ever so slightly when he looks over at ( @lgcnina ). The two trainees had just begun brainstorming for a concept to write two complimentary verses for their first assignment. “I remember feeling when I was younger that it felt never-ending until the last week before classes started. I haven’t felt that way for years until now. Every day has been memorable for me. How has it been for you?”
He had a much more difficult time thinking creatively with someone else, which was something that he will need to improve on. It was rare when composing a song wasn’t a collaborative process.
"if you are here to mock me or whatever, I will literally kick you in the face." nevermind her footwear at the moment was not appropiate for a fight, but nina had learned how to make a good quick with her heels on. ever since the fall of the dojo, she had been feeling a little bit lost. lawyers here, lawyers there, somehow mr. larusso was helping her with that to try and emancipate herself from silver. but she had no friends, having alianate herself from everyone as she had defended the man until the last moment. "i'm not in the mood for your bad boy shit."
jesper approached the market stall looking at the pastries it was selling, hyper focusing on the snacks. haymarket was one of his favourite suburbs of the city, with the market, stores and corner restaurants and cafes. it was the closest thing to getting away from sydney, a taste of other countries. but of course, he spent most time in kings cross. as jesper was deciding what to get, his eyes flicked to who was next to him. not realising at first, he looked back at the stall before head snapped back to the woman. “nina?!” he exclaimed. “well, fancy meeting you here.”
