I feel like adult characters like Toshiro in the phantom thieves would make a lot more sense to me if the entirety of the first game didn’t constantly home in on the fact that the thieves fucking hate adults and cops and the government. I think Joker just keeps them around so he can boss them around for some kind of insane revenge because no way is he doing it out of the goodness of his heart
