WELCOME! RAILS entrance hall by @ni.acki x @gwendoline_porte featuring the multifunctional sculpture in various ways, cement tiles @bahya_tiles and further iteration of the form in a lamp and a daybed. With its graphic shape, RAILS’ recognisable motif provides endless 2D and 3D possibilities. Collaboration with @ni.acki exploring the RAILS’ art & design concept into architectural rendering. A 3D design project with the title ‘Furnitecture’ I was given towards the end of 2019. Initially I started looking at stained glass windows, from this I knew I wanted to incorporate light in to the piece in some way. I created four incrementally larger cubes from acrylic surrounding a central LED bulb, unfortunately you’re unable to see the detailing on the inner two cubes. I enjoy using software like adobe illustrator when designing pattern.
