-It didn't take long for Fuyuhiko to notice your strange mood. You were usually a happy-go-lucky person, who would never stop making conversation with him. So, why were you so distant?

-At first though, he decided not ask. He knew if people had caught him out on his moods, he would get mad instantly, screaming, "Piss off!" And, "What're you looking at, bastard?"

-He had honestly brushed it off, initially chalking it up to you just having an off day. However that day turned into two, and soon those turned into five.

-Fuyuhiko noticed something else, too; you were staying home more often. Though he hadn't really thought much of it; you could be taking a work break.

-Five days had passed since this new attitude replaced your old one. Though Fuyuhiko desperately fought the urge to push you about it, he soon caved in.

-"Hey, dumbass...you okay?" He was awkward about the approach; he didn't exactly know how to coax you into telling him. He was a mafia, after all. he didn’t compensate without throwing a few punches first.

-You were distant about it at first. You had been avoiding the topic, offering to make him his beloved fried dough cookies. It was a struggle, but he had to push past your excuses.

-After more coaxing and promises to buy you (f/f), you had soon broke down into tears. You finally told him that you were fired from your job. That was when Fuyuhiko had connected the dots.

-While you loved your job, the company itself was quite dodgy and unfair on it's employees. To Fuyuhiko's surprise, it had run-ins with the Kuzuryuu Clan on occasion.

-Fuyuhiko was well aware of your love toward your job. It was almost hard to believe you, one of the most hardworking employees they had, really got fired.

-Apparently, the reason for this was because you had made multiple crucial mistakes over the past few months, eventually leading up to your current situation.

-Fuyuhiko's first instinct was to get you settled down in a couple of blankets, with you situated in between his legs, resting on his chest as you two watched your favorite movie.

-He tried his best to distract you from the current predicament with mountains of snacks and a pile of movies for you to choose from. He strung his arms over your shoulders, occasionally playing with your hair.

-He may or may not have been planning a scheme to get back at the company, with the help of the Kuzuryuu Clan.

-In the end, you slowly emerged from your mood and with some help from some Kuzuryuu Clan members and Fuyuhiko himself, you eventually earned a job which had a great pay, and an appreciation for it's employees.

-Fuyuhiko was secretly so happy he managed to fix your state, though he had constantly reminded you you didn't need to make money. He has the most powerful mafia in the country on his side, after all.

-You had objected, claiming you "Needed to help just as much as he does."

-Fuyuhiko never thought he could love you any more than he already did.
