alright so
Deios throws the Discs of Tyr into the timeways during Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr so the Aspects can't use it to revive Tyr and restore their powers.
Aspects reignite the Oathstones to try and restore their powers but the Mother Oathstone just refuses to turn back on and nothing happens.
Aspects work to revive Tyr in hopes that he can restore their powers.
Deios goes into the long-distant past to try and turn Nozdormu into Murozond as a primal dragon. He succeeds, which we don't like, so we go back into the past to try that again and stop Deios by killing him. Deios aligned with Iridikron and Xal'atath at this point.
Aspects learn where in the timelines the Discs of Tyr landed and send a force to retrieve them.
Amirdrassil blooms and the Aspects + Vyranoth are granted new Aspectral Powers.
Tyr gets revived using the Discs of Tyr after the Aspects are re-Aspected.
Oathstones are not mentioned again despite reigniting them being the core of each dragonflight's storyline during the leveling zones.
what was uh. what was the point of this again?
It feels like there was probably a way to accomplish this with a bit more elegance and a bit less "all that work you did was for nothing. you'll see Tyr again in the Worldsoul Saga probably but most of your work to revive him was just content padding & he served 0 purpose in the storyline of Dragonflight when he was finally revived because every plot element was already resolved*."
(* Dark Heart will technically be a part of Dragonflight's content cycle but it's established to be more of an interlude between DF and tWW.)
