HEY EVERYONE !   important announcement time :   

as previously stated, the timeline of the group ic is currently going slower, to allow more time for our current spring semester plot arc to finish and leave more room for the school year to be written. the admins have decided that the last day of the spring semester in character will be TUESDAY, MAY 25 & out of character for the semester ending will be on FRIDAY, JUNE 25. and it’s with a heavy heart that june 25 will also be the last day of gallagher as a group.

this is a decision that the admin team does not take lightly, one we’ve been considering for several months now. we’re so proud of all gallagher’s become and the community we’ve built with it, but as we end our second school year since the group’s beginning, we feel that we’ve done all we can do as storytellers from the main’s perspective. we’ve gotten to meet so many fantastic characters and tell some amazing stories, but the group has also been a lot of hard work this past year and a half to run, and we unfortunately can’t keep up with the maintenance it deserves. this wasn’t an easy choice to make, but we want to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing members who have put so much time and energy into making this group as great as it could possibly be. we wouldn’t have gotten as far as we did without all of you, and we hope you respect and understand our decision. 

we’re giving everyone a two month heads up for the sake of closing storylines and character arcs. gallagher will not be holding an internship program like they did last year, so start thinking about what they’ll be doing for the summer and beyond. more information will come as the date gets closer, but for now we’re business as usual, adhering to the same activity rules and still accepting applications, should anyone want to bring in a new muse before then. just a reminder that the event is still going on until sunday evening, and then expect a spicy plot drop on monday. there’s still more to go with the rest of this school year, so we hope this doesn’t dismay you from keeping active and staying excited for the group.

next week we will be CONCLUDING our current plot arc of the school year, and it will be done in four parts. the first plot drop will be posted on monday  ( may 24 ) ,   and every day following will unveil another plot drop, leading up to the very last one on thursday  ( may 27 ) .   we wanted to let everyone know now so they know what to expect, and also because we’re going to hold off on anyone being able to react to plot drops in character until they’re ALL released on thursday, so there’s no confusion regarding the timeline of threads on the dash, so please don’t start any post-plot drop threads until then. the admin team is hard at work concluding our story, and we have a lot of students who will be included in the upcoming plot drops, so get excited !

as we reach the halfway point of the spring semester, we are going to be closing applications for fourth years beginning monday, march 15. this is purely so nobody is short changed with time when the semester comes to an end...

which brings me to my next point :   as what we did last year, we’re going to be stretching the rest of the spring semester time and making it so it doesn’t end ooc until june  ( exact dates tbd ) ,  when in reality the spring semester ends for the characters in game at the end of may. this is purely to give us enough time for all the fun plot drops we have planned for the rest of the semester, and so there’s less summertime ic, as we are a college rp. keep in mind the dates of all our plot drops and our timeline page to keep up with rp time, since it’s going to be different than real time, which might be confusing. all this means for your threads is you have more time to complete them, so don’t stress !

i know it’s been a crazy time for a lot of people lately, with school and work and feeling the stress of one year since global lockdowns and all that fun stuff, but thank you all for being such loyal and active members and sticking by us throughout everything. this past year would’ve been far more stressful without the gallagher fam, and i hope everyone knows how appreciative we are of all of you. we have a fun plot drop next week to keep an eye out for, and until then if you have any questions or need anything at all, our inbox is always open !

       HELLO HELLO !   we hope you enjoyed last night’s plot drop, and the gossip blog has just posted the second part of that bad boy here. cole conner’s burn book has officially been made public to the entire school, obtained by thalia and sent to the gossip blog to show the entire campus. i’d like to give strud a HUGE shout-out for working so hard on the burn book page for our benefit. a few things to keep in mind : 

the gossip blog’s post was made in character on the morning of tuesday, april 13, just in time for the students to spend the whole day gossiping about it.

not all gallagher students are in the burn book. there are a few muses not included, but mostly keep in mind that MANY npcs aren’t in the book as well, because cole couldn’t get to everyone !   therefore anyone not mentioned might be a little fishy, but not enough to have a serious case against them.

which leads me to my next point... just a reminder that nobody knows that cole is behind the book !   in fact, most of the school is probably wondering who’s behind this mysterious book.

going forward, the double agents are going to be writing a group thread together in the discord server. we’re going to make it so everyone can view it but can’t comment, so feel free to look out for it if you want to read along, or you’re welcome to just mute the channel.

february 4-7:  the gang spends a long weekend in washington dc for a special beginning of the semester mission !   THIS WILL TAKE PLACE OOC FROM JANUARY 30 --- FEBRUARY 7.  keep this in mind for planning our your threads for the next few weeks ! 

february 14:  valentine’s day brunch hosted by the ppc. this will be an OPTIONAL event, so there’s no allotted time for threads during this.

        hi friends !   just a reminder that our dc mission event starts tonight at midnight est. we’re NOT going to be accepting apps during this event, since the location is completely different and everything, but we’ll be using our handy dandy application count if you’d like to send it in anyway !   otherwise you have until midnight tonight to get any last minute apps in, if you want to join in on the fun. we posted the mission assignments last night, and feel free to let us know if you have any questions !   i’ll be around today if anyone needs anything.
