I’m making a carrd right now, and I couldn’t find genders that fit these definitions enough to my liking, so I went ahead and coined a few terms. If you do find something a little too similar, please tell me!! I don’t want to steal anything. They’re all a little weird, but I’m mainly just coining them for myself, so I don’t care.
Feel free to use any of these labels! :3
Nomgender/Chompgender/Bitegender
When you feel the need to bite everything due to your gender, or feel as if your gender changes when you bite stuff or eat things. Can be used as nomgirl, nomboy, nomenby, etc.
Colonthreegender/:3gender
When your gender is :3. Can be used as :3girl, :3boy, :3enby, etc.
Alternatives are >:3gender or :<gender, and go by the same definition as :3gender. Related genders could be catgender or other cat-related genders.
Gendersaur
When your gender is big, mysterious, and full of teeth, like a dinosaur. Alternatively, when your gender is connected to being ancient and extinct. Or, when your gender is related to dinosaurs. A related gender I found is dinogender, though I couldn’t find a coining post. :(

So Cindersaur’s been enjoying a sudden spotlight! Since people got ahold of the new toy and a pack-in Prime power card confirmed that this Slash-repaint revival was a girl now she’s been the talk of the town. A character already established as one gender in-universe, now revised as another gender within the same continuity? Pretty unprecedented, and given that recent comic stories have put the ‘trans’ in Transformers that possibility for Cindersaur understandably appealed to fans as well. There was one more wrinkle added when another card was found that did use a male pronoun to refer to the character, so that’s more interpretation that’s up to you. Did someone not get a memo somewhere, or is Cindersaur canonically genderfluid now? Did they get fed up with nerd-boys on the internet saying Cybertronians shouldn’t have gender, and so took TWO genders for his and herself? All hail the gendersaur.
Seriously though, she’s a great little toy. Slash was a neat mold to begin with, so getting it again in a purple/yellow late-G1 ‘Con scheme that’s the scientific opposite of her industrial Dinobot greys is an appreciable treat. Cindy’s colors here do an impressive job of matching the specific hues of the old G1 version too, and they’re mapped out in a way that differentiates her from Slash even further. I kinda dig the barbarian-bikini look her yellow arrangement gives her in robot mode, would definitely seem in-character. The new head is cool too. Hasbro and other affiliates have done previous modernized takes on G1 characters whose heads were originally stuck in giant boxes, and this is one that shows how good it can turn out when executed well. The face-sculpt is bang-on to the original, and the smoothed-out cranium-cube completes the look while also making her look distinct on her own. She’s pretty fun to have alongside her old version (which I impulsively ordered for cheap about the same time), and dang, talk about a glow-up, right?
I love the Slash mold and I love what they did with Cindersaur here, so this toy’s an easy little recommendation from me. I’d dig seeing it done up in Cindy’s retroactive G2 colors as well, but given how limited POTP’s turned out to be, that’s probably a pipe dream. Still, really grateful for her, and given how the cast of robo-ladies in TF is always in need of expanding, I’m excited to see if she sets a precedent for other characters to get gender-flipped in future revivals.
That’s all for tonight everyone! Hope you have fun, catch you next time!
