👠High heels in hand & flats on feet #winwin 🥿 * * * You knew your feet weren’t gonna last walking around in those shoes😬 🤔 But, Did I though? Well maybe kinda, and that’s why I had a back up pair of flats. * * * People often ask why people wear high heels 👠 if they hurt their feet. Well- 1. All high heels don’t hurt & 2. We can always take them off when & if they do. * * * But have your ever worn a high heel too long or seen someone who has? After it starts to hurt you know and often times-everyone around you knows-a break is needed. * * * But perhaps you didn’t want to “mess up your outfit” or you didn’t want anyone saying “I told you so” or maybe it goes even deeper and you wanted to be able to say that even though you were in pain you pulled through. * * * But here’s the thing whether it is the pain of a high heel, a change in life, a break up, or a set back, sometimes we have to “the the heel off” so we can heal. * * * The longer we walk in pain and pretend not to be the more damage we are doing and the longer the road to recovery will be. * * * I had surgery on my foot a few years ago and that is one of many things I don’t mess around with. When I feel that throb doesn’t matter where I am the shoes are coming off.
