👆 My son asked me : Mom, Do you know who's he? then he told me that ~
He is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Nicknamed "Shotime".

My son is a chemical engineer at LCY GROUP in Taiwan. He called me two days ago and said: Mom, he got a promotion and a salary increase, so he took me to eat, go shopping, and buy ice cream to go home and enjoy. lol (He is a very pragmatic big boy who never dreams. Maybe because he is a child of a single parent, because they have experienced many human relationships with me, inculded up and down in life since they were young, so they mature very early. Fruits were pulled from the tree before they were ripe. hahaha) In fact, his company is not as profitable as in previous years in general this year, but he is lucky. He is the only one in his department at the Kaohsiung factory who has been promoted and received a salary increase.
We chatted and laughed about all kinds of topics. I am really lucky. God has given me two children who are smart, independent, sensible and gentle. Of course he also gives me dividends lol I like and appreciate that every time he takes the initiative to give me money, I always see the light of accomplishment and love in his eyes ~ shining like stars in the sky! 🙏 Thank God!
Although "it is more blessed to give than to receive". But there is another deeper understanding, especially for some people with strong self-esteem. Sometimes you have to learn to meekly "accept" gifts from those who love you in life.

part ii of the hat cpn. 👒inspired by the washing done, i decided to share other stuff that i’ve missed from the initial post. tho i think that the first post is more than enough to make a case. i think that if you are a cpf who don’t find this plausible from the first, a second one will do very little to sway your decision. but since this cpn is becoming a popular one, it’s only fitting that it gets more than one discussion post. ✌🏼
Tumblr media
one that i forgot to add is how much YBO, across all platforms have posted material from gq moty which includes that hat. even if they probably know the conversation going around it. fans are interpreting this as him showing off, kinda like how he did it with the panther.
just going by the frequency on YBO weibo account. GQ = 9 iqiyi scream night = 5 redmi conference = 2 GRA = 5 Chanel Shenzhen= 2. WYB’s Paris trip has 11 but that’s understandable cause an overseas event like that warrants lots of posts. so for GQ which is a usual event in WYB’s standards, the amount of content is more than usual. we don’t know if this is because they shot a lot of material or he has some sort of requirement from them on how many posts to share. tho i doubt they could require that of him and his team.
cpn or not, we do appreciate all the content YBO has blessed us. 🙏🏼
another thing is when this first came out, people were likening it to Nanyang style of fashion which includes the hat. even people at the event noticed. this kind of style is tied to SG. and who was recently there? if you had a hat shop located in a prominent hotel singapore that also has cultural significance, wouldn’t it be best to have that kind of piece on hand? i’m also thinking about how thoughtful xz is in giving gifts. in this case, he knew wyb’s preference and at the same time it has something to do with the place he visited.
Tumblr media
the use of card point 18:55 by YBO on posts related to gq moty and the hat. 18 is of course YIBO. 55 on the other hand was explained before in TTXS by feng ge. Tho his explanation is kinda sus because it’s about two people interlocking their hands like couples do. this episode was in 2018, and we think it made an impression on WYB.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this other one is also a coincidence, years ago 12/10 on 18:55 XZ posted the below message and it’s so fitting to whatever is going on right now. the same is true with them. tho they cannot be as vocal because of their status as celebrities — i’d like to think that sometimes they let things slip. they can’t help it. they are just living their life to the fullest and chose each other cause it is what makes them happy. i hope that it’s the same for us. that our loyalty remains with them and their love 💛

Mile posted this update last night, when he returned from Singapore:
Tumblr media
This is a plate that was gifted by a Chinese Mileapo fan club to Apo:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mile was gifted a similar set, but in black:
Tumblr media
Mile had already posted once a dinner pic with this plate, back on Sep 17, 2022:
Tumblr media
That was a day before we got the pic of Mileapo on a shopping spree, getting bolster pillows together:
Tumblr media
And I'd also think Mile, after returning from a day of shooting for Harper's Bazaar, mingling with Guerlain's people and a flight back to Bangkok, wouldn't have the energy to start cooking dinner. Maybe he's the energizer bunny! Or maybe someone was cooking for him. Speaking of which, Mile's caption includes, "Keep to the left..." Like he's leaving room on his right for his partner?
Tumblr media
Lastly, here's a cute vid from the HOWE awards, from Oct 30. Apo notices a display, and right away he points it out to Mile. I just like that they share everything.
And here they are, talking to each other while seated together during the ceremony's dinner:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, and I almost forgot... Apo went and watched a whole bunch of IG stories about Mile. Love his fruity watching. ^u^

this may not be the place for it - feel free to ignore! but do you know of any good guides for ordering English edition rosmei books in the USA? I've reached out to one group order place but I'm find everything about rosmei to be deeply confusing lol
Heya!
So as far as I know, the only way to do it (the way I'm doing it) is to join a group order/buy from a place that has partnered with Rosmei. There's a list of those places (all over the world) here: https://shop-b24ce1da57f643b5f45af2da645ab4c4.myallvalue.com/pages/partners
As far as I know, the only one in the US is Yiggybean:
What's been happening is, Rosmei announced that pre-orders are opening, and then Yiggybeans opens a pre-order listing. Those seem to run 2 to 4 weeks. They're only a first payment; there'll be a second for shipping. The books have been running $25 to $35 per book, and by pre-ordering they come with extras. They also charge the domestic part of the shipping, which is another $5 to $10. I'm expecting the second payments to be $20 to $30 per book but I don't know for sure yet because none of them have shipped.
How to Survive as a Villain vol. 1 had pre-orders open in January.
Nanchan and Don't You Like Me? The pre-orders for each vol. 1 ended about a week ago.
I found out about the more recent ones after the order had already ended, and I emailed Yiggybean to ask what could be done. They were very prompt and polite answering me, and they told me they'd pre-ordered a few extra and were able to sell me one of each of those, it was all settled very quickly and easily and I was impressed by their customer service.
I also asked if there was a way to get notification of when the next pre-orders go live; they said not yet but they were working on putting together an email blast for it, so I'm hoping for that so I don't accidentally miss any others.
I haven't actually received anything yet, so I can't speak to quality of the Rosmei editions, translation fidelity, shipping, etc., but the above is everything I do know. The tl:dr is the only way I've found to order the books from the US, legally and without like, knowing someone in Singapore, is through Yiggybean, and buying there is as easy as adding the pre-order to your cart and checking out like in any other online store.
A friend has also pre-order one through the place in Poland, so for European folks I may be able to report back on how that goes, too.
Hope this helps!

Lucky Cat Indeed!
Tumblr media
In their latest act of extreme trickery, a rouge group of chaotic Taoist magicians has empowered a collection of "Chinese Lucky Cat" statues, including "Lightning Tiger Dao." The results? See below:
Spread throughout tourist gift shows in Singapore, Hong Kong, and various Chinatowns in America and Canada, the cat bestows a different sort of luck. Remaking the person nearest to them when they activate into a 100% Chinese version of themselves.
So that Jimmy Smith though he was giving his girl friend as cute will present of a lucky cat statue to his girlfriend Laura Fields
What he was really doing was giving himself the chance to get to know her as Xiang Li Fang.
Tumblr media
Renée Taylor, while visiting Hong Kong, thought that a Lucky Cat was just the souvenir to bring home to Montana. "Maybe it'll help me visit again soon." she thought.
Tumblr media
Ren Liu Tian instead found she would be looking for a place to live in the city instead. To say nothing about now needing a whole new passport and a need to relearn English.
Tumblr media
Hanna Field thought the little shop in Chinatown was the cutest, most quant thing she had ever seen.
Tumblr media
As Yu Ming Han, a new employee of the shop, it became a lot less quant and turned into just someplace where she worked.
Tumblr media
One of the more interesting bits of their Taoist Chaos magic happens when Desiree and Bill Costello take a short rest as one of the Lightning Tiger Lucky Cats acted up.
Tumblr media
So that after a dizzy moment, they became Deng Cai and Bill Costello. So that before most of their meals had come via Grub Hub deliveries, then became home cooked better-than-Chinese restaurant dinners.

My thoughts about DD's hat
This hat caused a lot of noise, and this is understandable - DD focused attention on it and posted a million photos and videos with this hat wherever he could. Just today the video appeared on five platforms - Weibo, Douyin, Instagram, YouTube and BiliBili. Of course, everyone understands that it has special meaning for him. The same thing happened once with the panther logo, which DD also placed everywhere. Such activity has been unusual for him lately; the hat has broken all records.
I just want to speculate on this topic because there are some things that seem dubious to me, contrary to popular opinion.
The turtles assume that GG gave DD the hat, brought it from Singapore, there is a hat shop downstairs of the hotel where he lived, and he bought it there.
Tumblr media
I have an unpopular opinion about this. I think the hat is really connected to GG, perhaps it was the gift from him. But I think that the hat is not from this store. On Weibo I found the screenshot of a fan’s correspondence with the store on Instagram. I'm not sure if this is a genuine screenshot or not, but if it is genuine, then the theory about buying the hat from this store is incorrect:
Tumblr media
I looked at this store's Instagram account and it seems they really don't have any hats like that. Their hats are in a certain style and are made in a certain way, but DD's hat is different, it differs in weave, and the shape of the ribbon, and style. This becomes clear if you look through the many hat models from this store. I do not exclude the possibility that I am mistaken, and that the screenshot may turn out to be fake.
But I'm quite sure that this hat has special value for DD, because he constantly tries to show it. Yesterday and today, solos tried to “wash” this hat, claiming that DD allegedly bought it himself. They even found DD's photos from 2017 wearing a similar hat and tried to claim that it was the same hat, but it was a different hat, that could be seen with the naked eye.
Tumblr media
And today, shortly after this attempt at "washing", DD bombarded us on various platforms with many videos of this hat, and in this video there is the interesting detail: the only time DD touches the hat and lifts it occurs at 23rd second. I won’t guess whether this is a coincidence or not.
Tumblr media
There are several signs that this hat has a special meaning for DD:
1. DD posts an unusually large amount of materials with this hat. He's showing off. I had a similar feeling recently with Leica - “look carefully from all sides at what I have, how wonderful it is!”. And during the event, DD was in a good mood and smiled a lot; in my subjective opinion, he looked like a birthday boy.
2. The origin of this hat is still unknown; no brand has yet claimed the right to it. It seems strange that DD would wear an accessory of an unknown brand to the important event, especially since this accessory has become the center of attention.
3. If GG has nothing to do with this hat, then it is difficult to explain the appearance of his vlog at such a strange time, unfavorable for GG, because many people's attention was focused on the GQ event.
4. DD knew full well that the hat would cause a stir, if only because it initially reminded everyone of Luffy's hat. DD simply cannot help but understand this, and yet he made and continues to place a sharp emphasis on this hat.
5. DD didn't part with the hat all evening, both of his outfits were with it, although the second suit no longer involved boating, but DD designated it as a yuppie gentleman costume, and the hat was also in theme. There is not a single photo or video where he is without hat (except those where his head is not visible).
We have a certain chain of events: 1. GG goes to Singapore. 2. There is the hat shop at GG's hotel. 3. Two days after GG’s arrival, DD appears wearing the hat similar to those sold in the hotel store. 4. GG posts the Singapore vlog in the middle of showing off DD's hat. 5. In GG’s vlog there are shots of the hotel; it seems that the hat store is located not far from that place.
There may be a wrong link in this chain of events - the hat is not from this store.
My version of events: DD had been preparing for the event for a long time, and his costumes were thought out in advance, including the hat. The GQ program involved boating, and the boater hat was very appropriate. I don't think DD decided to wear this hat at the last minute because GG returned from Singapore on December 4th and DD flew to Shanghai on the 6th. Most likely, such a hat was already part of DD’s costume, the look was thought out in advance by the stylist (probably by DD too). Perhaps GG saw this hat in Singapore and decided to bring it to DD, and DD put it on instead of the one that was supposed to be in advance. This is why GG's Singapore vlog suddenly appears at an unusual time, in the middle of the event, when DD is posting materials. In any case, I think that there is some kind of connection between the hat and Singapore. Perhaps it is the already mentioned by many people Nanyang style, which is a Singaporean style and includes such hats, and then the connection with Singapore becomes more obvious.
I'm not sure of anything, this hat literally messed with my head, and the case is not solved for me yet. One thing I can say is that this hat clearly has some kind of secret, and it hasn't happened without GG's participation. I hope that someday we will learn the secret of this hat, perhaps new circumstances will become clear. This often happens in the world of GGDD - explanations for many things come gradually, sometimes even after years. Let's wait and see. 💚❤️.
Everything that is written here is fiction, CPN, fake.

hello hello! ✨ i’m back from my travels to terrorize this place again heheee i’ve been gone since late october so any messages or asks haven’t been looked at but i will get to them!
but ya i was mostly in japan for vacation (singapore for work and philippines for family too but those were both bleh) and i traveled alone and it was so fun! my biggest concern was that i’d get lonely but that was never the case because i kept running into so many cool people, some of which i’m friends with now and i’d love to go back in a couple of years just to see them again. would also love to hike mt fuji next time too!
also this trip was basically unlimited calories so i got to eat all the yummy food i saw~ my feet are super fucked up tho..
Tumblr media
i also did a ton of shopping (had to buy 2 extra suitcases lol) and just wanted to share some of the goods hehe
Tumblr media
official primaniac perfumes for childe and zhongli! i went to all four animate stores in tokyo (shibuya, shinjuku, akihabara, ikebukoro) and childe’s was the only one sold out in all four. i gave up looking for him after the fourth store BUT while i was shopping in ginza i luckily happened to walk past the official primaniacs store (not sure why i didnt think of checking there first) and he was in stock!
childe’s kinda smells like the ocean, with hints of mint and vanilla. it’s refreshing and if i had to describe it, the scent is light, warm, comforting, slightly flirty
zhongli’s is kinda hard for me to describe. it’s more bold but also gentle?? i smell some kind of wood and also cherries i think? it makes me feel like i should be sitting at a fancy bar with a cup of bourbon that’s worth more than my life
anyway i’m not an expert when it comes to perfumes so here are threads that go into more detail: childe zhongli
Tumblr media
other official genshin merch i bought! childe whale and zhongli dragon plushies, zhongli bracelet, and childe card holder. the bracelet is cute and i can see myself using it!
i also bought an itto keychain for my best friend at work, but i’m too lazy to pull it out of the gift bag i made for her lol
Tumblr media
came across official xiao and aether figures in akihabara! they were having a cute date in the defect pile 💕 (didn’t buy these though)
Tumblr media
my favorite purchases~ japanese knife and three others for my closest friends hehe (i already gave out one before this pic) they’re so pretty and they slice so good! i can’t wait to start cooking with mine
i bought more stuff than what was pictured but this post would go on forever if i talked about everything and its mostly clothes and skincare anyway lol

"Poker always works"
by Christian Von Hocke, originally written 24 July 2009 for Zeit Online (x)
Formula 1 pro Nico Rosberg talks in an interview about his life as a globetrotter, exotic food and his preferences for other sports.
Question: Mr. Rosberg, like right now in Budapest, you're on the road all year round with Formula 1 around the world. Don't you sometimes get homesick?
Nico Rosberg: I've had nine hotels in four weeks, which is exhausting. But homesick? No. I really enjoy traveling, it's very educational and very interesting. That's what I would also do in my free time: get to know new countries, discover new people, the way they live.
Question: So you've turned a hobby into a profession right alongside driving.
Rosberg: Yes, there are many places in the world that I would like to see and that excite me. I'm also planning a big trip during the winter break. I'm interested in India, for example, with its spirituality, or South America, Patagonia, a safari in South Africa. Even just hiking. That's not something I would normally do, but it's good for the body's regeneration. There's so much I can do, I'm just afraid that I'll take on too much and it will end up being too stressful.
Question: Michael Schumacher has regretted that he never saw anything of the Grand Prix venues apart from the airport and the track. Do you also explore the cities where you race?
Rosberg: Yes, especially at the overseas races. I have a bit more time there because we always arrive a bit earlier due to the time change. But even so, there's always the Saturday evening before or the Monday after the race. We have great races in interesting cities like Melbourne or Singapore or Shanghai.
Question: And what do you do there?
Rosberg: I go into town. I have a nice meal in a restaurant or go out for a drink or shopping in the evening, or I go to the beach and go surfing. Or I look at the special features of the city. I'm also very interested in photography and always have my big camera with me.
Question: But traveling can also be quite stressful. Can you sleep on the plane?
Rosberg: No, very badly. I have to lie horizontally and need rest so that I can concentrate on falling asleep, otherwise it doesn't work. For that reason alone, I have to fly business class. That's not a problem in Europe, where I always have my camper van to take me to the tracks.
Question: There are 17 Formula 1 races in 2009 alone. Have you ever woken up and not known which city you were in?
Rosberg: Not that, but I was once at the airport at check-in, and the woman asked me: Where are you flying to? And I didn't know. I'd been to four or five different countries that week, I was tired and unfocused, and I just couldn't think of it. She looked at me like I was stupid (laughs).
Question: Do you sometimes wish you had an office job from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., where you could throw your coat over the hook and stretch your legs in front of the TV when you're done working?
Rosberg: No. Whether it's a nine-to-five job or a Formula 1 racing driver isn't that important. I don't know if it would make anyone else happier if they led my life. My friends all have nine-to-five jobs, and they're no less happy than I am. It's always what you make of it that matters.
Question: But you also need a bit of home, don't you? Many people always have their music player with them to simulate a feeling of home wherever they go.
Rosberg: I'm not a music fan. I got an iPod as a gift, but I haven't really used it yet. For me, it's the cell phone. It connects me with friends and family. That's cool, I can also use it to go on the Internet. When I don't have it with me, I feel very naked. Like today, I don't even know what's going on anymore.
Question: Anyone who travels so much must have acquaintances all over the world.
Rosberg: That's true - wherever I go in the world, there are my best friends. I know them either through racing or from the past. I grew up in Monaco, and nobody stays there. Today, my old friends are everywhere, in Australia, China, America or South Africa. I can call them up and ask if we want to have a drink.
Question: Can you maintain hobbies while traveling?
Rosberg: I like to play football, but I rarely do that when I'm traveling. Poker is always on. I'm not very proud of it, actually it's nonsense to sit in front of a computer and play poker. But it's fun. Otherwise: eating. Does that count? I already see it as a hobby, I love to eat for my life, delicacies, creative, new things, especially country-related. I was in Marrakech with my girlfriend the other day, they have gigantic food there.
Question: In your travels, do you notice how places in the world change from year to year, and not just in terms of cuisine?
Rosberg: Yes. My parents have a country house in Aix-en-Provence. At first it was quite isolated, but now it's become a huge settlement with an industrial area.
Question: Let's be honest: What is your least favorite place in the world?
Rosberg: Kuala Lumpur. We're always just sitting around at the airport there (laughs).

Rant to me about any collections you have, I love listening (in this case reading) to people talk about this stuff ⭐⭐
omg i didn't really expect anyone to see that post but!! YES!!
okay, so i collect spoons and the tops of hot and cold taps (but i lost like 3/4 of my hot/cold tap collection due to my poor management skills)
BUT! i have 14 spoons in my collection currently! you know the spoons that you can get at gift shops? they're like those, although i didn't get any from gift shops, i got quite a few from my great grandma when she died and i hand picked a few nice ones from the op shop near me.
so here they are!

my favourites are these 5 though:
Tumblr media
theyre my favs bc
its from the place i was born (not from i was just born there) and its so pretty. it has a picture of a merlion, a mythical creature and practically the emblem of singapore
this spoons from japan and has a detailed handle of a woman standing behind a shamisen (a traditional japanese instrument) holding a fan. also the spoon bit is made to look like either a big fan or the underneath of an umbrella
you cant really tell in the photo but the top of the handle is super detailed, its from hawaii. hopefully tumblr wont kill the quality on the picture.
its dip in the spoon is filled by a drawing of the sturt desert rose, a flower that grows on a shrub in the desert in NT, and is also the floral emblem for the Northern Territory
its from canada and has a moose :p
ive only been to 1 of these places but oh well.
also special shout out to this spoon bc i think the deatails in dip bit is pretty neat.
Tumblr media
i also collect tops of hot and cold taps but i lost a lot of them so here is my remaining collection
Tumblr media
i take them off the taps in bathrooms, WHICH SOUNDS BAD but its chill bc i only take either hot or cold so you can still tell which is which
