Just like a rainbow, Haitian Gingerbread architecture as it is called, is painted with an array of color. . The architectural ornamentation attached are fine example of lace motifs, creating repetitive patterns and designs. . The color used in Haitian art and architecture are indicative of my use of color found in the Caribe collection. . Each color way was meticulously selected to embody the soul and character of the Caribbean. . Today's lush tropical garden and its turkey are from Haiti. The famous Hotel Oloffson was initially built as a private home in the 19th century, and from 1915-34 was used as a US Marine Corps hospital. In 1935, the grand Ginger Bread structure was converted to a hotel by Werner Gustav Oloffson, a Swedish sea captain.
