a somewhat comprehensive, unhinged guide to seventeen's smiles
say the name! it's isi, wasting time and doing everything but what she actually needs to do. in today's episode, we are busting out the dental analysis once more because i have a new hyperfixation: the talented men of none other than SEVENTEEN! now, since i can't stop staring at pics of them, i will just put my energy to (some?) good use and talk about their teeth (since it's what i love)! cue the chip skylark playlist 🦷
disclaimer: this is not me dragging any member or trying to make a comment on their attractiveness based on their teeth. they are all very very handsome men and i'm just going off an objective formula for these analyses!
choi seungcheol (s.coups)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Coups, Coups, Coups! ok so he had an adorably gummy smile beforehand, like literally insanely adorable T_T. as a fellow gummy smile haver and enthusiast, i'm almost sad he got rid of it, but it does make sense aesthetically. if you can notice between the two pics, his gummy smile is reduced and i also think the length of his teeth have changed. it might be twofold; due to both gingivectomy (a procedure to remove some of and recontour the gums) as well as veneers (his teeth are a lot more square now than they used to be)! also the second pic is a bit blurry but i think the veneers had the added benefit of his teeth arc following the contour of his lower lip more closely which is considered aesthetically ideal. and they also fill out his smile so that there are less gaps in between the back teeth and the cheek, so the smile appears more full!
yoon jeonghan (jeonghan)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
is this post just gonna be me being sad about ppl getting their teeth done even though i'm a dentist? maybe maybe. ughhh jeonghan used to have that adorable chip in his front tooth, and i'm pretty sure he got veneers to fix it too T_T. i will say though, his teeth look sooo white and his smile is cute despite the minor imperfections that existed before. his smile is considered on the aesthetically ideal side because his lip covers a portion of his front teeth and there's no gum on display. jeonghan definitely had braces too, because i can see his tooth alignment improve from the first to second pic. also he is a bottom teeth smiler unlike so many kpop idols, so points for him because he loves showing them off and i love teeth!
joshua hong (joshua)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
listen, am i gonna have to fight seventeen's dentist because what is going on? i understand why the bunny teeth aren't an ideal aesthetic choice, but plssss! they were too cute. fun fact: bunny or buck teeth can be caused by a number of things, and one of them is thumb sucking as a kid (so imagine baby Joshua being adorable noww). i would say Joshua's front teeth have definitely changed shaped due to veneers, and honestly his smile right now is very straight and aesthetically pleasing (look at how it follows that lip line damn).
wen junhui (jun)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok but like i love Jun for giving me so much to talk about with his teeth? they're so fun and unique and i love that for him! first, we have to address the absolutely adorable gap teeth! they do seem like they've disappeared in the second pic, but i'm gonna chalk that up to invisalign because i don't believe the actual shape of his teeth have changed (which they would with veneers). more evidence for that is that i feel like his bottom teeth used to be crooked and now they appear more straight. also, if you look at jun's smile arc, it doesn't follow his lip, it goes up and down, like the wings of a bird (this is called a gull wing arc).
kwon soonyoung (hoshi)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh hoshi, what in the horanghae? you can tell his smile has undergone some pretty dramatic changes. the adorable crooked teeth are no more. honestly, the veneers probably did help with that large piece of gum in between his front teeth before, because changing the shape of the teeth will also force the gums to adapt to the change. his teeth also looked a little more pointy to me before, especially the canines, but it is very common for veneers to come in sets, and honestly if you want to completely transform a smile, working from canine to canine is the way to do it.
jeon wonwoo (wonwoo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
no you don't understand bv wonwoo's smile actually breaks my heart (and not just because he's so freaking attractive). wonwoo is a crook because he had me completely fooled. like damn his teeth are so nice, i thought he just underwent a bit of invisalign and whitening. so imagine my shock when the good people of the internet informed me that wonwoo has veneers! honestly, my hats off to his dentist, because while i can definitely spot the changes (softer, more rounded teeth), i think his smile still retains a lot of characteristics of what made the old one so charming, and striking that balance is really hard to do as a clinician.
lee jihoon (woozi)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i hate to bring up the yoongi doppleganger agenda, but i literally think that's why i find woozi's smile so endearing. although I've gotta say that their smiles are one of the less similar features they share. Woozi has those adorable lil vampire fangs, but he does have very short, kind of chubby teeth, which are traditionally associated with a more youthful appearance! also his teeth are lined up really well, and if you look at the second pic you'll hear me scream bc he has a silver crown! those are hard to come by, but it makes me happy that he goes to the dentist and keeps up with his check-ups!
lee seokmin (DK)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hehe so i've already had the privelege of staring in depth at DK's smile thanks to this ask from @hannahbee12719. so i will just reiterate that i think DK has a Disney Prince-esque smile. his teeth are so straight like compliments to his orthodontist! his heart shaped smile means that his lip contour relative to tooth arc is a little off, but the lopsided grin makes him very college crush coded! DK is the perfect example of how much gum you should show if you want to remain aesthetically ideal (he's just cute ok sue me!)
kim mingyu (mingyu)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
gyu and these teeth! he's also been one of the members whose had a pretty dramatic smile makeover. Before we get to that though, can i compliment how despite everything, his cute little vampire canines are still alive and kicking. like they make his smile so unique and lovely. the biggest change to mingyu's smile is definitely his lateral incisors - before they were what are known as peg laterals (their odd shape is due to a developmental anomaly)! after what i think are veneers, the laterals are definitely contributing to a more even and more balanced smile.
xu minghao (the8)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
listen, i'm not even gonna lie to anyone and say that as a professional, i don't have a favourite svt smile because that's absolutely not true. it's this one right here your honor! idk what kind of magic is in minghao's teeth but they are so straight and shiny. and they've always been that way! like damn if there was an oscar for kpop smile he'd win best in show! i love that his teeth are natural and not overly blocky (which you can get when someone has veneers or crowns), and like idk if he's genetically gifted or whatever, but if not, the awkward teenage braces he probably had definitely paid off!
boo seungkwan (seungkwan)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
booo! look at this absolute sweetheart and his amazing heart shaped smile. right off the bat, seungkwan's smile does that adorable up and down arc (although less severe than jun's), which makes it look like a little bird taking off (maybe that's why he can hit those high notes?). also big ups to him because his bottom teeth seem relatively straight and that is hard for bottom teeth to do since there's more limited space for them to come in due to the tongue and muscles blocking them out!
chwe hansol (vernon)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
no bc i'm actually gonna cry because wdym we have pics of vernon with braces? i feel like a proud mom seeing how far he's come in his dental journey. like look at those adorable little kid sized teeth turn into the stunners they are today! i will say i think the ortho and veneers definitely paid off for vernon, his teeth look super straight, and definitely lend him a more mature, masculine appearance. and he does have a super gummy smile, but i'm so glad he's embracing it (gummy smiles are the best okay?). and literally how do so many svt members have heart shaped smiles (are you trying to make me fall in love with you?)
lee chan (dino)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the whiplash? ok mr. dino? i think he's the perfect example of how you can transform a smile but still keep the same facial features and characteristics intact. you can definitely see that Dino's teeth appear more square in the second pic to lend him a more mature appearance, but they've kept the edges rounded because that's a defining characteristic of his teeth. the (alleged?) veneers also make them look more straight and take away some of that awkward teenage appearance (nothing wrong with that). you can also see how his smile appears more filled out in the second pic with less empty space in between the back teeth and cheek.
that's all for today, peeps! thank you for joining me on this wild, unhinged journey that took longer than i care to admit to put together, and i hope you enjoyed! maybe we'll see more smile analyses in the future ;)

Gum Surgery Near Me: Restoring Your Smile at Mittal Dental Clinic
Gum health is a vital aspect of your overall oral well-being, yet it often doesn't receive the attention it deserves. Many people focus solely on their teeth, overlooking the importance of healthy gums. However, gum issues can lead to serious dental problems, including tooth loss, if not addressed in time. For those dealing with gum-related issues, gum surgery may be the solution to restore oral health and protect your smile. At Mittal Dental Clinic, we offer comprehensive gum surgery services tailored to meet your individual needs. tooth filling cost in jaipur
Understanding Gum Disease and Its Impact
Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. It is a leading cause of tooth loss in adults. The early stage of gum disease is called gingivitis, which involves inflammation and bleeding of the gums. If left untreated, gingivitis can progress to periodontitis, a more severe form of gum disease that can damage the bone and connective tissue supporting your teeth.
Common symptoms of gum disease include:
    Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
    Persistent bad breath
    Receding gums
    Loose or shifting teeth
    Pain while chewing
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it is crucial to seek professional help. At Mittal Dental Clinic, our experienced dental team is equipped to diagnose and treat all stages of gum disease.
Types of Gum Surgery at Mittal Dental Clinic
Depending on the severity of the gum disease and your specific needs, several types of gum surgery may be recommended. Here are some of the most common procedures offered at Mittal Dental Clinic:
Gingivectomy: This procedure involves the removal of diseased gum tissue. It is often performed when the gum disease has not yet affected the bone. A gingivectomy can also be used to reshape the gums for cosmetic reasons, improving the appearance of your smile.
Flap Surgery: In cases of advanced gum disease, flap surgery may be necessary. During this procedure, the gums are lifted away from the teeth to allow for deep cleaning of the tooth roots and the removal of tartar. The gums are then repositioned snugly around the teeth, reducing the spaces between the gum and the tooth where bacteria can thrive.
Gum Grafting: For patients with receding gums, gum grafting is an effective treatment. Tissue from another part of the mouth or a donor source is grafted onto the receding area to cover exposed roots, reducing sensitivity and improving the appearance of the gums.
Bone Grafting: When periodontal disease has destroyed bone around the tooth roots, bone grafting may be necessary to restore stability. This procedure involves placing bone material in the affected area to promote new bone growth.

My Path to a Perfect Smile: Finding the Best Dentist in India
When I began my quest to straighten my teeth, my primary concern was closing the gaps between my top front teeth. After researching my options, I chose Invisalign, which offered a discreet solution with a series of clear aligners. The idea of an almost invisible treatment was highly appealing, but as I progressed, I discovered several things I wish I had known before starting.
1. Identifying the Root Cause: It’s More Than Just a Gap
Initially, I believed that closing the gap between my teeth would solve all my concerns about my smile. However, my real frustration lay with my gumline—my teeth appeared small, overshadowed by excessive gum tissue. My dentist mentioned that while Invisalign might improve my bite slightly, it wouldn’t address my gumline issues. For that, a gingivectomy (removal of excess gum tissue) would be necessary.
Two years into my Invisalign treatment, while my overbite had slightly improved, my gumline remained unchanged. I was still self-conscious about my smile. It wasn't until years later that I finally underwent the gingivectomy procedure, which took just two hours and was far less expensive than my Invisalign treatment. This experience highlighted the importance of fully understanding what your treatment can and cannot achieve.
2. The Reality of Treatment Duration: Expectations vs. Reality
One of the major selling points of Invisalign is the promise of quick results, typically within 12 to 16 months. However, my experience didn’t align with this timeline. My teeth seemed to move at their own pace, prolonging the treatment much longer than anticipated.
Midway through, my orthodontist had to create a “refinement” plan—a reassessment of my progress. Even with this, my teeth weren’t perfect, and I was left with a persistent overbite. Eventually, I had to stop the treatment because I was exhausted by the seemingly endless process. In hindsight, I wish I had been better informed that initial timelines are often optimistic estimates rather than guarantees.
3. The Lifelong Commitment to Retainers
After finally completing my Invisalign treatment, I was ready to celebrate—until I learned that I’d need to wear a retainer every night, indefinitely. Teeth have a natural tendency to shift back to their original positions, especially in cases like mine. If I skip even a night or two, I can feel my front teeth beginning to move.
This nightly routine has now become a permanent part of my life. While I’ve come to accept it, I wish I had known about this lifelong commitment before starting the treatment.
4. Finding the Right Orthodontist: How Dr. Soumendra Sarangi Transformed My Experience
After my initial experience, I realized I needed a fresh start. That’s when I found Dr. Soumendra Sarangi, an expert in orthodontics at a leading dental clinic in Bhubaneswar. Unlike others, he took the time to thoroughly understand my case, pointing out the unrealistic expectations of my previous treatment and the overlooked issue of my gumline.
Dr. Sarangi developed a plan that addressed both my orthodontic needs and the aesthetic concerns that mattered to me. His approach was personalized and thoughtful—something I hadn’t experienced before. Under his care, my overbite received the attention it required, and my smile? It finally became something I could be proud of.
5. The Importance of Communication: Stay Engaged Throughout the Process
One of the most valuable lessons I learned was the necessity of staying actively involved in your treatment. During my initial Invisalign experience, I followed the plan without asking enough questions or voicing my concerns, leading to unmet expectations and frustration.
When I switched to Dr. Soumendra Sarangi, he ensured that communication was a priority. He explained each step of the process, regularly checked in with me, and made necessary adjustments. This proactive approach made all the difference in both the outcome and my overall experience.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
My journey with orthodontic treatment taught me some important lessons. From truly understanding the issues that need addressing to finding the best orthodontic treatment in Bhubaneswar, there’s much more to consider than just straightening teeth. If you’re thinking about Invisalign or any other orthodontic option, make sure you do thorough research, ask all the right questions, and choose a specialist who truly understands your needs—someone like Dr. Soumendra Sarangi. He made a world of difference in my journey, and I’m confident he can do the same for others seeking the best dentist in India.

How a Cosmetic Dentist in Flushing Can Transform Your Smile
Introduction
In the vibrant community of Flushing, New York, residents have access to a wealth of dental professionals dedicated to enhancing the beauty and health of their smiles. Cosmetic dentistry has become an increasingly popular field, offering a range of advanced treatments that can address a variety of aesthetic concerns and help individuals achieve the smile of their dreams. Whether you're seeking to improve the appearance of discolored, misaligned, or damaged teeth, a skilled cosmetic dentist in Flushing can guide you through the process and provide remarkable results.
Tumblr media
The Importance of Cosmetic Dentistry
A person's smile is often the first thing others notice, and it can have a significant impact on their overall appearance, self-confidence, and social interactions. Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the aesthetic aspects of your teeth and gums, allowing you to feel more comfortable and confident in your daily life.
By addressing issues such as teeth staining, crooked or misshapen teeth, gaps, and other imperfections, cosmetic dentists can help you achieve a brighter, more symmetrical, and visually appealing smile. This can positively influence your professional and personal relationships, as well as your overall quality of life.
Common Cosmetic Dental Treatments
Flushing cosmetic dentists offer a diverse range of treatments to enhance the appearance of your smile. Some of the most popular and effective options include:
Teeth Whitening
One of the most common and in-demand cosmetic dental treatments is professional teeth whitening. Dentists use advanced techniques and specialized products to safely and effectively remove stains and discoloration, leaving your teeth several shades whiter and brighter.
Dental Veneers
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth, concealing a variety of imperfections, such as discoloration, chips, cracks, and misalignment. Veneers can dramatically transform the appearance of your smile, creating a uniform, symmetrical, and natural-looking result.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a versatile treatment that utilizes a tooth-colored resin material to repair and reshape teeth. It can be used to fill in gaps, correct chips or cracks, and even lengthen or widen teeth for a more aesthetically pleasing smile.
Invisalign® or Clear Braces
For individuals with misaligned or crooked teeth, Invisalign or clear braces offer a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces. These advanced orthodontic systems gradually shift your teeth into the desired position, providing a straighter, more symmetrical smile without the need for conspicuous metal appliances.
Gum Reshaping
In some cases, excess or uneven gum tissue can detract from the appearance of your smile. Cosmetic dentists can perform gentle gum reshaping procedures, known as gingivectomy or gingival recontouring, to create a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing gum line.
Dental Implants
For individuals missing one or more teeth, cosmetic dentists can recommend and place dental implants, which are artificial tooth roots that support custom-made crowns or other restorations. Dental implants not only improve the appearance of your smile but also restore the functionality of your teeth.
The Cosmetic Dentistry Consultation Process
When you visit a cosmetic dentist in Flushing, the first step in your smile transformation journey will be a comprehensive consultation. During this initial appointment, the dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth, gums, and overall oral health, and discuss your specific aesthetic goals and concerns.
The dentist will take the time to understand your individual needs, preferences, and lifestyle, and then develop a customized treatment plan to address your concerns. This may involve a combination of the aforementioned cosmetic dental treatments, as well as any necessary preparatory procedures, such as teeth cleaning or gum therapy.
Throughout the consultation process, the dentist will provide you with a detailed explanation of the recommended treatments, including the expected outcome, the timeline, and the associated costs. They will also address any questions or concerns you may have, ensuring that you feel informed and empowered to make the best decision for your smile.
The Importance of Choosing a Skilled Cosmetic Dentist
While cosmetic dentistry has become increasingly accessible, it is essential to choose a skilled and experienced practitioner to ensure optimal results and patient satisfaction. Cosmetic dentists in Flushing have undergone extensive training and education to hone their skills in the latest techniques and technologies, and they are committed to staying up-to-date with the rapidly evolving field of aesthetic dentistry.
A skilled cosmetic dentist will not only have the technical expertise to execute the necessary procedures but also a keen eye for detail and an artistic flair to create natural-looking, beautiful smiles. They will work closely with you to understand your unique facial features, skin tone, and desired aesthetic, and then tailor the treatment plan accordingly.
Additionally, a reputable cosmetic dentist in Flushing will prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout the entire process, using the latest advancements in pain management, sedation techniques, and infection control protocols. This ensures that your smile transformation experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
The Transformative Power of Cosmetic Dentistry
The impact of cosmetic dentistry on an individual's life can be truly remarkable. By addressing aesthetic concerns and enhancing the appearance of their smile, patients often experience a significant boost in self-confidence, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.
A confident, radiant smile can open doors both personally and professionally, as it can positively influence first impressions, social interactions, and even job opportunities. Individuals who have undergone cosmetic dental treatments often report feeling more comfortable in social settings, more engaged in their relationships, and more willing to smile and laugh freely.
Moreover, the benefits of cosmetic dentistry extend beyond the purely aesthetic. Addressing issues such as misaligned, damaged, or missing teeth can also improve oral health, chewing function, and overall well-being. By restoring the structure and functionality of the teeth, cosmetic dentistry can have a profound impact on an individual's daily life and long-term quality of life.
Conclusion
Flushing, New York, is home to a wealth of skilled cosmetic dentists who are dedicated to helping residents achieve the smile of their dreams. Through a range of advanced treatments, from teeth whitening and veneers to Invisalign and dental implants, these professionals have the expertise and artistic vision to transform the appearance and health of your teeth and gums.
By choosing a reputable and experienced cosmetic dentist Flushing, you can embark on a journey of smile enhancement that not only improves your physical appearance but also boosts your confidence, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. Uses of Surgical Blades in Dental Care and Dental Surgery
Surgical blades are indispensable tools in dental care and dental surgery, playing a crucial role in various procedures that demand precision and control. These blades, designed for specific dental applications, enhance the efficacy and safety of surgical interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Surgical blades are extensively used in periodontal surgery, where they help in reshaping the gums and removing diseased tissue. Their sharpness allows dentists to make clean incisions, promoting faster healing and reducing post-operative complications.
Oral Surgery and Implantology
: In oral surgery, such as tooth extractions or biopsies, surgical blades are essential for making precise cuts in the soft tissue. This precision is vital to minimize trauma to surrounding tissues and ensure a swift recovery. When placing dental implants, surgical blades are used to create incisions in the gum tissue, providing access to the underlying bone. This step is critical for the accurate positioning of implants, ensuring their stability and longevity.
Endodontic Surgery and Aesthetic Procedures
In procedures like apicoectomies, where the tip of a root is removed, surgical blades allow for precise removal of infected tissue, aiding in the preservation of the tooth. Surgical blades also play a role in aesthetic dental procedures, such as gingivectomy or crown lengthening, where they help in reshaping the gums for a more pleasing appearance.
The use of surgical blades in dental care and surgery underscores the importance of precision in achieving successful outcomes. Their versatility and efficiency make them an essential component in the toolkit of dental professionals, contributing significantly to the advancement of dental medicine.

Periodontal Surgery: Treatment for Gum Disease
Periodontal surgery, also known as gum surgery, is a specialized treatment approach aimed at managing advanced gum disease (periodontitis) and addressing associated oral health concerns. While nonsurgical periodontal therapy, such as scaling and root planing, is often effective in controlling early-stage gum disease, certain cases may require surgical intervention to restore periodontal health and prevent further progression of the disease. This article provides an overview of Dental Emergencies periodontal surgery, including its indications, procedures, and potential benefits.
1. Understanding Periodontal Disease
Overview: Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the supporting structures of the teeth, including the gums, periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone. When left untreated, gum disease can lead to gum recession, bone loss, tooth mobility, and ultimately tooth loss. Common signs and symptoms of periodontal disease include gum inflammation, bleeding, persistent bad breath, and gum recession.
2. Indications for Periodontal Surgery
Indications: Periodontal surgery may be recommended in the following situations:
Advanced periodontal disease with deep periodontal pockets (greater than 5mm)
Gum recession exposing tooth roots
Persistent gum inflammation and bleeding despite nonsurgical therapy
Inadequate access for effective scaling and root planing due to anatomical factors
Cosmetic concerns related to gum aesthetics
Tumblr media
3. Types of Periodontal Surgery
Procedure: There are several types of periodontal surgery commonly performed by periodontists to address different aspects of gum disease:
Pocket Reduction Surgery (Gingivectomy/Gingivoplasty): Involves removing diseased gum tissue and reshaping the gum line to eliminate periodontal pockets and promote a healthy gum contour.
Regenerative Procedures (Bone Grafting/Guided Tissue Regeneration): Aimed at rebuilding lost bone and supporting tissues damaged by periodontal disease. This may involve placing bone grafts or membrane barriers to promote bone regeneration and tissue attachment.
Soft Tissue Grafting (Gum Grafting): Used to address gum recession by transplanting donor tissue (autograft or allograft) to cover exposed tooth roots and enhance gum aesthetics.
Crown Lengthening: Involves reshaping the gum and bone tissues to expose more of the tooth's crown, typically performed to facilitate restorative procedures or improve the appearance of "gummy" smiles.
4. Surgical Procedure
Technique: Periodontal surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. The surgical site is thoroughly cleaned and prepared, and the appropriate surgical technique is selected based on the specific goals of treatment.
Pocket Reduction Surgery: The periodontist carefully removes diseased gum tissue and reshapes the gum line to eliminate periodontal pockets and promote optimal healing.
Regenerative Procedures: Bone graft material or membrane barriers are placed in the defect area to promote bone and tissue regeneration. The surgical site is then closed with sutures to facilitate healing.
Soft Tissue Grafting: The donor tissue is harvested from the patient's palate (autograft) or obtained from a tissue bank (allograft) and transplanted to the recipient site. The graft is secured in place with sutures, and post-operative care instructions are provided.
5. Benefits of Periodontal Surgery
Benefits: Periodontal surgery offers several potential benefits for patients with advanced gum disease, including:
Reduction in pocket depths and improved periodontal health
Regeneration of lost bone and supporting tissues
Enhanced gum aesthetics and coverage of exposed tooth roots
Improved tooth stability and function
Prevention of further progression of gum disease and tooth loss
6. Post-operative Care and Recovery
Recovery: Following periodontal surgery, patients are advised to follow post-operative care instructions provided by the periodontist. This may include:
Taking prescribed medications, such as antibiotics or pain relievers, as directed.
Maintaining good oral hygiene practices, including gentle brushing and rinsing with an antimicrobial mouthwash.
Avoiding hard or crunchy foods and strenuous activities during the initial healing period.
Attending follow-up appointments to monitor healing progress and assess treatment outcomes.
7. Conclusion
Periodontal surgery plays a crucial role in managing advanced gum disease and restoring periodontal health in patients with periodontitis. By addressing deep periodontal pockets, gum recession, and bone loss, periodontal surgery helps preserve natural teeth and support long-term oral health. If you're experiencing symptoms of gum disease or have been diagnosed with periodontitis, consult with a qualified periodontist to explore your treatment options, including the potential benefits of periodontal surgery in achieving optimal periodontal health and function.

Periodontal Flap Dental Surgery Gingivectomy Question And Answers

An Option came up at the dentist yesterday; apparently one of their sort of part time staff is trained with whatever tf kind of laser scalpel they’d need to do a gingivectomy, in my case trimming the long-healed gums over where they pulled my wisdom teeth. The mounds are pretty much level with the back molars so they can get irritated by chewing, particularly crunchy or acidic stuff.
I’m considering it.
