Whether you're watching the sunset at Tanah Lot Temple, surfing the waves at Uluwatu, or hiking to hidden waterfalls in Ubud, Bali offers something for every type of traveler. Don’t miss a sunrise hike up Mount Batur, the spiritual calm of Besakih Temple, or a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Nusa Penida. This is your ultimate Bali bucket list—packed with nature, culture, and thrill—all in one magical island.
Best Time to Visit Bali

The best time to visit Bali is during the dry season, which runs from April to October. During this time, the weather is sunny and great for beach activities, exploring temples, and hiking. The wet season (November to March) has more rain, but it’s also less crowded and everything is lush and green.
How to Get to Bali
Most travelers arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. It’s well-connected to major cities in Asia and Australia. From the airport, you can book a taxi, rent a scooter, or arrange a pickup through your hotel or Airbnb.
Where to Stay in Bali
Bali has many areas, and each one offers a different vibe:
Ubud – Known for yoga retreats, rice terraces, and culture. Great for relaxation and exploring nature.
Canggu – A trendy beach town with cafes, coworking spaces, and surfing spots. Ideal for digital nomads.
Seminyak – A lively area with shopping, restaurants, and luxury resorts. Great for nightlife.
Uluwatu – Famous for clifftop views, surf breaks, and stunning beaches.
Nusa Dua – A calm area with family-friendly resorts and white sand beaches.
Things to Do in Bali
Here are some must-do activities to include in your Bali itinerary:

1. Explore Ubud’s Rice Terraces
Tegallalang Rice Terraces are one of the most iconic sights in Bali. Take a walk early in the morning, enjoy the fresh air, and snap amazing photos. You can also try a Bali swing for a fun experience.
2. Visit Temples
Bali is full of beautiful temples. Some of the best are:
Tanah Lot Temple – A sea temple that looks magical during sunset.
Uluwatu Temple – Perched on a cliff with an ocean view. Don’t miss the Kecak fire dance in the evening.
Besakih Temple – Known as the “Mother Temple” of Bali.
3. Relax on Bali Beaches
Bali is famous for its beaches. Some of the best include:
Kuta Beach – Great for beginner surfers.
Padang Padang – A small beach with turquoise water.
Nusa Dua Beach – Calm and clean, perfect for families.
Echo Beach – A favorite in Canggu for sunset and surfing.
4. Try a Traditional Balinese Massage
Treat yourself to a relaxing Balinese massage. It’s affordable and great after a long day of exploring.
5. Chase Waterfalls
Some of the most beautiful waterfalls are in the north and central parts of Bali:
Sekumpul Waterfall
Tibumana Waterfall
Gitgit Waterfall
Be ready to hike a little, but the views are worth it!
6. Enjoy Bali’s Food Scene
Don’t miss out on the food! Try traditional dishes like nasi goreng, mie goreng, satay, and babi guling. Bali also has amazing cafes serving smoothie bowls, vegan options, and coffee.

Final Thoughts
Bali is more than just a tourist destination — it’s a place full of beauty, tradition, and warmth. With so much to do, you’ll never run out of places to explore. Whether you're chasing waterfalls, meditating in a jungle villa, or enjoying a coconut by the sea, Bali offers an unforgettable experience.
