The spiders ever. Didnt see much in big spiders before. Like, tarantulas were pretty cool, but this one?? Epic. Beautiful. Powerful.

YES YES YES... cupiennius salei stays winning forever, my favourite true spider species of all time!!!! as a wandering spider they're naturally very fast and reactive but this species is known to be one of the more docile ones, so much so that they're used in research. it's actually deemed an important study organism in evolutionary biology. so not only do they give us absolute aesthetic wins but they also provide us with lots of essential knowledge too. <3

and there's so many absolutely STUNNING wandering spiders out there, i don't think many compare to c. salei but these guys come close <3

it's giving neon orange, slay!!!! and this species has black spots on its underside and legs too which is unique :) it's also in the same genus as the tiger bromeliad so they r siblings. 2 me.

such clean and pretty patterns, reminds me very much of poecilotheria markings and that beautiful rich coffee colour too... my GOD.

honourary mention to this one because it was reclassified but was once a member of ctenidae. it was moved to a new family called viridasius in 2015. still a wandering spider in my heart.......... and most ppl seem to still call it the ornamental wandering spider so. WIN!
