[Hi, childofmagicandmagicschild! I’m so excited I was able to snatch your prompt up. This was fun to write, mostly because I love some Arthur regretting his stupid actions and then going to try and fix them. I admit, this is my first time travel-ish type fic I’ve done, but it was AMAZING to do! I hope you enjoyed the fic as much as I enjoyed making it!

Summary: 

Arthur is working in his chambers, having just banished Merlin after finding out he had powerful magic, not just regular magic like Arthur thought. He was planning on spending the day getting paperwork done and forgetting about Merlin.

Instead, he suddenly comes face to face with himself from the future, who’s desperately looking for Merlin, and who has quite a story to tell.

The humans don’t like magic, treat magical creatures as nothing more than trophies, and would never, ever understand someone like Merlin. If it’s ever revealed who he truly is, he could lose everything.
