ongsa is obviously not going to correct sun in any way on who she is because when you are a 16 year old loser the act of having allowed a misunderstanding to take place without you realizing it was happening is so deeply mortifying and that the thought about clarifying doesn't come to you until it is too late and then you simply can't clear it up because the other person has moved on and you should have spoken up right away and any acknowledgement of your failing will cause the earth to open up and swallow you whole or at the very least will mean the other person thinks you are weird and stupid and she obviously can't let sun know it's ongsa even more than she can let her know that earth is a girl and she'll keep overthinking and digging that hole deeper as sun will fall in love with both ongsa and earth and go through all this turmoil of reconciling both those things in her head and that will probably keep her from commiting to either one and the easy solution has always been to tell her they are the same person but it has also always been nearly impossible for an anxious overthinker to verbalize so when things come to a head it will be an explosion of understanding and betrayal and relief all at once and i will be sat and eating it all up
