y’all can catch my thoughts (aka me on my bullshit soap box) on episode one through eight in the tag the rosewood glitch. this more or less pertains to episodes nine through twenty four.

the only thing i quite despise is how much they lean on the romantic relationship factor especially when it comes to ezoria and cleb. the way they made it seem like it was such a mitigating factor just annoyed me to know end and made the episode drag on longer than it needed to. i get that they probably needed to find a way to lengthen it out, but there had to have been another way to do that.

besides what marlene told us and what is revealed by maya herself in the video, did maya really know anything more than what was being told? did she know about A and possibly who it could have been? who really killed alison? it was such a mundane response to a question that could have just remained unsolved. it really would have made more sense if she had more ideas on who A was or if alison was still alive [even though i was not a fan of ali being alive all this time.] i do however like how emily is coming into her own and being a more secure and stronger person after all that had happened with maya.

the fact that i still despise parge and her bullshit with being so damn passive aggressive when it came to when she saw emily and “nate“ kissing instead of coming out and saying what she was saw was sad and irked me. she was always so obsessed and became more possessive when she and emily started dating. i get that parge is insecure and still trying to somewhat come into her own, but god! this is so fucking inane that her character ended up not changing as much as people probably think she did. at least with “nate“ it was his entire character and he was just more one sided than anything since he was a one time character and was needed for a select idea.

the writing for the most part was okay. a lot of it made me want to crawl into a hole and cry myself into an early death. aroo is still such a busybody, butting into other people’s pasts like they are her own. i don’t give a sweet sugar tittied fuck about ezero and his bullshit. there was something else that threw me off and that was when spencer brought up parge attempting to drown her before they started dating which emily promptly brought up other issues going on in her life, but that still doesn’t excuse what parge did and the fact that em is trying to give parge a cop out with that was asinine. just because she had some bullshit that was going on at the time does NOT give her an excuse as to why she tried to drown emily and that is sad that emily is using that as an excuse to clear parge’s good name.

emily was the reason for ali vs parge and i cannot help but laugh. wesley and aroo made more sense than aroo and ezero ever would. hanna has always done stupid and crazy shit even before cleb so y’all can full stop with that bullshit; lackluster subplots that were either anti climatic or just boring as all hell. cece really did make the least amount of sense with the exception of dealing out some expositional dialogue about ali, their friendship, and whatever else alison didn’t tell the girls or didn’t want to tell them.

i’m not a gigantic fan of shay’s acting, but this is another of her performances that i can’t really knock heavily. i’ll still do it because her performances range from “you really did not try“ to “okay. that’s too fucking much.” this one bordered on the both of those. her other performance that i like was after she found out maya died, it was a little over the top, but not too jarring and out of place. the red herring and the inconsistencies with placing a ploy on practically everyone was ridiculous. spencer getting cocky as hell, but when doesn’t she get that way? i cannot help but laugh at when she got stomped by mona at her own game. meredith apparently has kept up her creep factor since the last time we saw her.

overall, i like this season despite all the bullshit that always comes along with this series. the writing was okay and the acting was good especially spencer, mona, and alison.
