I will also provide an answer for what he felt when he woke up next to her in All That I Am Is Yours to make up for my tardiness 😬

Pre-Shibuya Gojo

Pre-Shibuya Gojo was excited when he woke up next to Rinko. A little giddy, a little hopeful. Kinda wondering if he should nix his plan for telling her and just tell her he loved her. He was still kinda scheming.

So, if we think about the the morning of Shibuya, when he told her it was a lazy day in bed, just think literal idiot in love.

He woke up with her snuggled against his chest, her hair all wild, probably some drool, and he looked down and just felt it in his soul that he was gonna tell her that evening that he was in love with her.

Then, as he waited for her to wake up, he started planning. He was gonna tease her a bit by being a dramatic lil dumbass and make her think that because he'd done something like that before for dumb shit, it likely wasn't important. So he knew she'd think he was just being dumb. He was gonna buy her some Thai food and bring her back to his place and make her cum to make her more susceptible, and then he was gonna tell her he was in love with her and then dodge her knives when she inevitably tried to stab him because she didn't believe him. 😂😂😂😂

As for if she had her own closet at his place:

Nope! She just stole his clothes whenever she stayed over 😂 Or, if she knew she was going to be there for a while, she would bring a bag. So up until now, she's essentially been living out of a duffle bag. But she would still steal his clothes to sleep in and obviously she stole all of his sweaters 😂

Now? He's just so fucking happy when he wakes up next to her. He has the love of his life who knows he's in love with her by his side. Better yet? She loves him back.

He's relieved. So relieved when he wakes up next to her.

Because now they can start the rest of their lives. She's still recovering, but she's alive. And she's healthy. And she's safe. And he just wants to let her know even more how much he loves her. He didn't get a chance to really talk to her after she woke up initially because Shoko was doing checks and then she passed out as soon as they got back to his condo, so now he has time to talk to her and tell her he loves her and thank her for loving him. And to tell her that she was the only reason he truly wanted to keep living. That without her, he had no reason to live through Sukuna.

So, when he woke up that morning with her sleeping like the dead next to him because her soul was still regenerating, he just decided, "Fuck it, I'm waking her up and asking her to marry me. She can go back to sleep after she says 'yes.'"

He then proceeded to think of how he was going to ask her without her thinking she was dreaming, so he decided he was gonna have to ask something stupid first. And he also tried to think of all the ways he could act completely ridiculous to make sure she thought he was just being an idiot. Because he knew she'd be irritated at being woken up and he also knew that she was going to think he was dumb 😂

And then he woke her up and felt his heart soar at seeing her irritated, sleepy eyes staring up at him, still filled with love, and he felt it again in his entire soul that he loved her more than anything in the world and wanted to spend forever with her.

So then he acted like the dumb lil horny boi we know and love and did exactly as he planned and then proceeded to remember his breeding kink for a moment near the end 😂😂😂😂😂

Hospice has informed me that my grandpa is likely going to pass within the next few hours to day or so- pancreatic cancer. So I was wondering if you had any head cannons within Physical Paradox for how Gojo might comfort Rinko during down times- nothing super angsty. Just in dire need of fluffy comfort stuff with these two. Maybe it's when she's got the flu or feeling down when pregnant or something, idk, but if you have the time and energy I'd love to know your thoughts <3

First of all, fuck cancer.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandpa. We lost my grandmother to uterine cancer fifteen years ago, so I can only begin to imagine what you're going through. There aren't really words that can be said to express how I feel for you, but I hope that you're doing as well as you can be 🩷

As for how Gojo would comfort Rinko when she's down? Funny enough, I wrote a piece last week that's set after Gojo and Rinko started dating, while they were living in different cities for their grad degrees.

Rinko had a rough week, and she just really missed him, but she didn't want to admit it because she didn't want to get in the way of his weekend plans (that he didn't have but she still felt guilty). So what did our boy do? Hopped on a flight from Osaka to Tokyo and showed up outside her apartment in the middle of the night in the middle of winter to check on her because he is just literally the best.

He then proceeded to give her snuggles and cuddles because that was really just what she needed 🥹

So, I have provided a lil sneak peek of the cute and silly fluffy installment below the cut!

“Go back,” Rinko cried, wiping her eyes. “I don’t wanna ruin your weekend.”

“Baby, you could never ruin my weekend-”

 “Please just go,” she whispered, and he sighed. “I already ruined your weekend enough-”

“Then open the door, baby. Help me make it better by getting to see you.”

“You don’t wanna see me. Not right now,” she mumbled.

“I always wanna see you.” Gojo was quiet for a moment. “Rinko-chan, I’ll sit outside your door as long as it takes for you to open it. You know that I will.”

“You’ll freeze to death-”

“Guess you’ll have to open the door before that happens, then,” he called. “Please open the door, baby.”

She just sniffled again, wiping her eyes angrily as she tried to get the tears to stop falling.

Gojo let out a loud sigh, his voice louder when he spoke again.

“It’s really cold,” he called dramatically. He shivered loudly, letting his teeth chatter audibly as well. “Already freezing to death. Can already feel the frostbite setting in. Dunno if I’ll make it another minute.”

His voice was still getting louder, leaning against the wall beside her door heavily while he pretended to wail.

“Guess this is it for me,” he lamented, moaning in pain. “Sure wish I coulda seen my super smart, pretty girlfriend before I died-”

Blinking through her tears, she fought the smile tugging at her lips as she slowly pulled the door open just a fraction.

“You’re dumb,” she informed him quietly. “And really loud. My neighbors probably hate you right now.”

“You’re really pretty,” he said, pouting as he leaned closer. “Baby, let me inside, please? Wanna hold you.”

Gojo has not talked about his feelings for her with anyone, actually.

I've mentioned once or twice (it's been a while and I don't think it was ever said in the story itself lol) that Megumi has always noticed that Gojo acts differently with Rinko than literally anyone else. Remember, he's a perceptive kid. Rinko has noted how irritating she finds it a few times.

More below the cut because I ranted like I always do 😬

In the second post, I talked about how in that scene where he's training with Gojo after the baseball game, after Gojo finished giving him all that cool advice about dying alone (🙃), Megumi looked him in the eye and asked him why Rinko hadn't known about Yuuji being alive, and if Gojo was ever going to be honest with her about how much he cared. He also asked why he hadn't just married her yet when it was obvious that he wanted to be with her. And he might have said something about how Gojo didn't deserve how much she cared about him.

You remember the lil snicker he gave when Yuuji asked if Rinko and Gojo were together? Yeah, our lil perceptive boy has known for a while. And he's been irritated for about a year or so that Gojo is still dragging his feet after so long.

Also, he and Yuuta were the leaders of the "why hasn't Gojo just asked Rinko to marry him yet?" club 😂😂😂

So it was also Gojo being a bit of an asshole to Megumi like "LOOK, KID, GUESS WHAT I FUCKIN TOLD HER JUST LIKE YOU SAID TO DO. SO GET YOUR ASS BACK OUT HERE AND LET ME GLOAT TO YOUR ACTUAL FACE."

So... I decided to keep it as a hopeful ending because Rinko would not take Gojo back easily. There are obviously multiple approaches to this situation, but it would take a lot of effort from Gojo to prove that she could even begin to trust him again after he betrayed her so deeply. Is it possible? Yes. But I don't have the energy to write that entire thing lol

I really liked writing this one because I've seen relationships recover from infidelity and come out even stronger and more loving than before, but I've also seen relationships that just couldn't recover. But the main reason is that one or both parties don't want to reconcile. For the one cheated on, I find it completely fair to not want to reconcile or be too hurt to do so. It's also complicated when the cheater doesn't want to because, most of the time, they justify why they cheated and transfer the blame to the person they cheated on. That's one difference for Gojo here. He didn't do that. He didn't justify and blame her. He explained and said that he understood if she didn't forgive him.

Rinko and Gojo could work this out because Gojo would put in that effort. He would work for it. Do anything to prove that he loves her and never wants to lose her again. But at the same time, Rinko would really have to fight that part of her that would struggle to be able to not constantly be suspicious or scared. It could be very beautiful.

I also like the possibility of Rinko settling down with someone else. Finding happiness with someone who wouldn't betray her in such a way. But at this point, it would feel wrong for me to write her with anyone other than Gojo, so I don't know if I'd be able to do it 😂😂

Another Level: Yes, to an extent. I mentioned in the previous ask that they do a lil trick-or-treat with their kids at Jujutsu Tech. But before they had kids they would literally just get Thai food and eat it in bed. They didn't leave their home on Halloween. Gojo and Rinko were both just like "NAH. WE'RE GOOD." Rinko still hates Shibuya, even when it's not Halloween 😂😂😂

Physical Paradox: Yes! They do celebrate. In college, they would either go to a party or just hang out with friends. Now, they dress the kids up and take them trick-or-treating! I like to think that at some point, they dressed the twins up as Switch joy cons 😂😂

Other than that? Rinko got Gojo enough caramel miso butter cookies to literally kill a regular person and after the babies are sleeping she will give them to him and they’re gonna snuggle and just enjoy each other’s company while reflecting on the fact that it’s been FIVE YEARS since he was sealed while he eats his cookies. Then he’ll make a comment about how cute their kids are and how much he wants more and then… INNOCENT THINGS WILL ENSUE.
