Hello Goodtype Tuesday! ALTER EGO. An alter ego means alternative self, which is believed to be distinct from a person's normal or true original personality. It is a second self or different version of oneself: such as the opposite side of a personality like Clark Kent and his alter ego Superman. In Latin, alter ego literally means "second I". Alter ego can also refer to the second, hidden side of one's own self.

Brilliant entry by @typebynikita for this week’s alter ego Goodtype Tuesday! ・・・ As a literary hero, Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorites. The version of the novel I have at home is two volumes, nearly 1000 pages each. The historical context in the book serves as an unbreakable foundation for development of all the characters, but none more so than Dantes. He dedicates himself wholly to turning his unjust fate into a life of discovery about human lives, deception, love, and justice…it is quite breathtaking. The tenacity he displays is the tenacity I sometimes wish I had towards solving career or personal issues that we all deal with. Once in a great while, a spark of that tenacity shines through, and that gives me hope!
