Looking for a book? A song? A movie? Plug the keywords into GoogleLife and it’ll only return results from things you’ve previously seen. Every youtube video watched, every library book checked out, every movie rented, every song downloaded.

Now take it one step further.

A media library of everything you’ve ever interacted with, from a kid’s Highlights magazine quiz, to a student play you saw in college, to a song someone was singing at the Laundromat. Every social media post you’ve read, whether you liked it, reblogged it, retweeted it, or not. Every picture you’ve looked at. Every album that played at your retail job. Every podcast you had running in the background while you worked.

Now take it one step further.

A vague image from a tv show you glimpsed as a kid waiting in the dentist’s office. A particular bird call that woke you up on a summer morning. A smell you remember from your grandma’s old back yard. That dream you had* The fabric pattern on a lampshade you saw at a garage sale. The flowers that grew in the backyard of the place your family rented while your house was being cleared of mold.

Google has spent the last few years teaching computers how to see, understand, and appreciate our world. It's an important goal that the search giant hopes will allow programs to classify images just by "looking" at them. And this is where Google's deep dream ideas originate. With simple words you give to an AI program a couple of images and let it know what those images contain ( what objects - dogs, cats, mountains, bicycles, ... ) and give it a random image and ask it what objects it can find in this image. Then the program start transforming the image till it can find something similar to what it already knows and thus you see strage artifacts morphing in the dreamed image ( like eyes or human faces morphing in image of a pyramid ).
