Moon 4: Mosquitofur sees that Duskstar's piece of prey looks tastier and asks to swap. He agrees happily, saying he likes her prey better.

Moon 3: Roachchirp surprised Mosquitofur with something nice.

Just a little something of Roachchirp having a soft spot for a single (adoptive) mother. Slight spoilers below the read more but important I think moving forward (just so I have this note. Somewhere)

but I've rolled next week's moons and, despite the lack of nursing queens in the Clan, the abandoned kit has survived, and current HC is that she had Snaillake find her an absurd amount of borage, just like. Eating borage salads (/hyp) with her prey to try to induce milk and has managed to produce just enough to keep the thing going, if underfed. There'll be a quick fix to that and some adjustments to welcome said kit into the Clan fully but for now. Here's the answer to the question that would've bugged me lmao

Managed to get our newest cat on to the base by zulius! His name is Frenchfern, a speckled gray tabby tom with warm gray eyes and short fur. He's got wide, friendly eyes and an amicable resting face. So far he's been getting friendly with Beeflick, and I think it'll stay that way. He's considered a senior warrior, so I'm imagining their relationship with be like. Elder gay, not quite brother or father figure, but definitely like. Someone of guidance to her.

Next cat on zulius's base is our only warrior (so far), Roachchirp. A red broken classic tabby she-cat with blue eyes, long fur, and a single fang poking out over her lip. She is strict and extremely intelligent, surprisingly fond and diligent of the warrior code for an ex-rogue. She is an almost militaristic mentor to Leechpaw, who looks up to Roachchirp with a near religious devotion. Roachchirp seeks to climb the ranks in the Clan, and currently has her eyes set on Beeflick and possibly taking the position of deputy from her.

Finally (for now) is Scuttlepaw on zulius's base. Scuttlepaw is a silver marbled tabby tom with pale green eyes and odd lying fur. His resting face is that of slightly perturbed inquisition, as if slightly concerned by all the things he's seeing. He is quiet, and often doesn't speak unless absolutely necessary. His mentor is Beeflick, who is feeling rather nervous about having another apprentice after Honeystream.

Finished Ryepaw on zulius's base. Ryepaw is a fawn ticked tabby tom with amber eyes and dense fur. He has a resting challenging face, as if he's constantly ready to start a bet or dare. Ryepaw is being mentored by Duskstar, and after his brother's death, hates Mitebreeze with his whole body. Duskstar plans to use this to pit Ryepaw's training against Mitebreeze's success to push him.

Moon 6: Beeflick and Roachchirp find more abandoned nests, but these smell empty.

Moon 5: Ryekit comes up with a plan to sneak out of camp with Hootkit.

Obviously kits don't get official refs till they're apps but. also. look at how cute they are... I couldn't not draw this prompt...

Our newest addition to the Clan on zulius's base is Norman, the ex-loner. He is a white transgender tom with a dense, fluffy coat and fawn patches. His eyes are pale green. He has a stout, muscular body and was obviously once very well fed, though seems to be losing weight after pregnancy and joining the Clan out in the fields. His resting face is hopeful and empathetic. He is a good teacher and altruistic, seeing the good in everyone and hoping to set a good example for his kits and the other youngsters around camp. He will relieve Mosquitofur of her duty to feed Scuttlekit, as he has more than enough milk to spare.

Our final cat (for now!) on zulius's base is Honeystream, a small cream lynx point tom with amber eyes. Technically still an apprentice at his death, he was named a warrior at his vigil, out of hope that it wouldn't bring any bad luck on the newly formed Hiveclan to have an apprentice be the first buried in the territory. He had a resting puppy dog face and an awkwardly medium to long furred pelt, one that hadn't yet fully and evenly grown. He is missed greatly by Beeflick and Leechpaw both.

The next cat on zulius's base is Mosquitofur, the Clan's only elder. She is a rosette tabby tortoiseshell, mostly black with greenish-yellow eyes and two scars across her throat. Her fur is on the longer end of medium and kinked in odd places. Her resting face is a mellow, warm smile. She was once adventurous but now settles for telling the younger members of the Clan stories from her life. She is the gentlest member of the clan, and tries not to let certain cats' attitudes get her down. She and Duskstar get along extremely well.

Next cat on zulius's base is the medicine cat, Snaillake. A blue classic tabby tom with high white spotting and light blue eyes. He is slightly shorter than the other clan cats, though his abdomen is just as long/dense.* He has narrow, calculating eyes, and a coy resting smile. He is a great speaker and rather strict with his patients. He's a gentle enforcer of sorts for Duskstar. Where Duskstar needs some force or pressure put on a specific cat without sullying his kind facade, he employs Snaillake to manipulate and twist the cat's mind into doing or not doing whatever it is Duskstar wishes. All in the name of guidance though, of course.

*(Semi munchkin? Unsure how that gene works, I just want his legs a little stouter than average while retaining normal adult cat size everywhere else. Make this man's ratios weird).

Next cat on zulius's base is the deputy, Beeflick. A she-cat with a blue colored bengal pattern and light blue eyes. She has wide, observing eyes, and a reserved, tucked resting smile. She's a good teacher, and considered wise by Duskstar for her paranoia and overthinking. She was 15 moons old when she was made deputy, and she did technically have an apprentice (Honeypaw) but he was swept away in a river they had to cross to make it to their new camp. The rogue kit currently known as Primrose will be her next apprentice when he comes of age.

First order of business before I can start doing art for the first 3 moons is getting some rough refs down for each cat. For this project, I've decided to use zulius's battlecats base, found in their shop here.

First up is Duskstar (he/him). A tom with a snow mink colored bengal pattern and gray eyes. He has medium length fur and a reassuring resting smile. He is charismatic and intelligent, and hides his trauma easily behind his generosity.
