One of my fave thrills is finding #vintagelinens or #vintagesheets at thrift shops, forgotten storage corners, or while #junking. The more beat up & threadbare... the better! I’ve been experimenting with fabric dying with @ritdye (buy all the colors!!!) and love, love, love how this dusty blue/light navy dyed #vintagedaisy sheet came out. I used navy dye with the stove top method and let the sheet dye quickly (about 2.5 mins) before I threw it into the wash. The level of #squeal that happened when it came out of the dryer was heard ‘round the #greatgoodplace 😂. . . . Looking forward to Mardi Gras 2022 and a visit or two to this place. (Pictured here is @erinrosebar as rendered by moi.) Erin Rose is a rare breed — a French Quarter bar that locals and tourists love. Kind of like Times Square’s venerable Jimmy’s Corner in that respect. You plunk down at a barstool and, even as a visitor, you sort of feel at home. Same for a local in the heart of tourist central. Rare. At heart, they’re both accessible, solid local pubs.
