Semana passada comemorei mais um aniversário, e da melhor maneira possível: com os amigos e ótimos vinhos! 🇵🇹 Dentre os vinhos, a estrela, pra mim, foi este “Porto Colheita 2003” da @KrohnPortWine — uma casa especializada em Portos “Colheita” (que são Tawny de um único ano, envelhecidos em madeira por longos períodos) com quase 20 anos de idade! 🍷 Coloração granada média na taça. Os aromas mostram frutas passas e em compota, chocolate, nozes e amêndoas tostadas. Na boca é doce, com alta acidez, muito corpo e taninos médios e macios. Os aromas se repetem com longa persistência! 📝 Um espetáculo!! Um Porto intenso e elegante, de estilo oxidativo (que eu adoro!) e boa complexidade. Ainda jovem, poderia envelhecer por muitos anos… Adorei! VN94 pts. . I love a good Bordeaux, and “No”, I am not a Boomer. Bordeaux brings classic flavors and consistency based on blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc to create a beautiful, smooth and complex wine. The dominant grape depends on whether it is Right Bank or Left Bank. I love Merlot on its own or in blends. It’s silky smooth, deep, dark and delicious. Château Laffitte Carcasset 2014 Saint-Estèphe is a Bordeaux blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. This wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 month, of which, 30% is new French oak. The vines for this wine cover 74 acres on Garonne gravel over clay-limestone subsoil. This wine is an elegant St-Estèphe with beautiful ripe fruit and savory spices. The tannins and fruit are big yet well balanced and the wine is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon that gives it the structure as well as it’s juicy fruitiness. Merlot provides depth and character along with darker richer fruit while Cabernet Franc provides spice and structure. This chateau’s name dates back to the 18th-century When Joseph Laffitte created the estate. This wine comes from the heart of Saint-Estèphe. In 2016, the estate was sold by the Padirac family to Pierre Rousseau. Hubert de Bouard, the famous winemaker and owner of Chateau Angelus, is a consultant for the estate, which has recently increased the quality of their wines. Saint-Estèphe is one of the Left Bank red wine appellations of Bordeaux, known for reds based wines which are predominantly blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Saint-Estèphe is located a the northern part of the Haut-Médoc and the gravelly shores of the Gironde. Que tal um Borgonha?? 🇫🇷 Este vem da AOC Nuits-St-Georges —um “village” na Côte de Nuits (a parte mais ao norte da Borgonha) — mais precisamente do vinhedo “Premier Cru” chamado Les Damodes. Um belíssimo Pinot Noir do pequeno @Domaine.Remoriquet 🍷 Coloração rubi de intensidade média- na taça. Os aromas mostram fruta vermelha madura, um discreto floral, pimenta branca, pimenta negra, leve terroso é um toque de cogumelos. Na boca é seco, tem corpo médio, acidez média+ e taninos médios+, de ótima qualidade. Repete as frutas, especiarias e terroso, com média persistência. 📝 Um vinhaço de muita qualidade, com equilíbrio e elegância, e estrutura para evoluir nos próximos anos e ganhar mais complexidade.
