October 30th continued...

Oct 30-Flight wasn’t all that bad. Watched some movies. Malaysia stop over was quick. Watched more movies. Arrived! .... dun dun dunnnn When don’t I post about our shit experiences?! Step off the plane and try to get through customs. Nope. You don’t have a visa. WEIRD since we asked multiple people in Bali airport if we needed them, nah we can get them in Vietnam! NOPE. They tried to drag us back on the plane, back to Bali. I flipped the fuck out! They told ty if I didn’t calm down there would be trouble. Okay I shut up. A while later after some arguing and not believing our freakin’ situation, we met a man who wants to sell us “emergency visa”. Alright.... go on.... we can get 15 days in the country. For a price.. ???? We had no other choice but to accept, or fly back to Bali. So we did. We went to an atm (surprise surprise my cards still don’t work) and took out $200 bucks each, for this “15 day visa”. Another couple seemed to be in our same situation, kind of being treated like caged dogs.... anyways after a few hours we get this visa, find our lonely bags, and leave the airport. Only to run into this other couple again, who informs us to re look at our “15 day visa”. Damn scammers got us for the first time. Our “15 day visa” was actually a 1 year and 15 day visa. They wanted as much money from us as possible and they took the opportunity and ran with it... fuck. Fine. Not even mad, because I am here and I am tired and I need a hotel and a lay down. It’s about 9pm by now and because the Airbnb we booked months ago, informs us TODAY that her pipes had broke so she was putting us up in a “hotel”. I can’t use quotations enough today. We got scammed once again by a very experience taxi, damn being foreigners.....We meet this woman at a seedy looking place, she checks us in and leaves. Nice lady btw. But we get put into a room (which literally seems to be someone’s bedroom at their little run down house), took one look at the hairy bed, and the pee floor, and start googling new hotels to stay at, grab an Uber, and gtfoutta there. We found a nice place in district 1 where we wanted to be staying anyways, and splurged for a few nights.. went for a quick walk down Bui Vien st which, wow, INSANE, got some food and straight to bed. EXHAUSTED. What a day.... bank still compromised, over spending on multiple hotels, almost kicked out of a country, scammed, blah blah blah...... tbc
